@OLOHEKAI No more so it was Johns and his ego... originally the script was he lived and Johns character died. Johns agent used the fact that John was the more experienced actor and this was Jims 2nd movie ...so the script got changed. Fact is yeah John was the more experienced actor who supposedly practiced martial arts but Jim was a legitimate martial artist middle weight karate champion. That movie ending would've been much better with Bruce and Jim fighting side by side as it was originally intended.
Yep, Hollywood execs said supposedly that John Saxxon was the more established actor so his character stayed on. I guess the hanging negro on the movie poster works better that way 🤦🏽♂️
I wish Bruce would have lived. It would have been great to see what he could have done in the 80's/ 90's/ 2000's he would have been a massive star in the 80's for sure and being in action movies with the other 90's action stars. He probably would have opened up martial arts schools across the States and else where would have been so cool to see him at fitness events doing demonstrations and on talk show's it was a huge loose for him and the world.
The next roles I’m thinking of what Bruce Lee would be offered: • Takuma Tsurugi (The Street Fighter) • Nariyoshi Miyagi (The Karate Kid) • Ip Man (Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story) • Morpheus (The Matrix) • Bill/Snake Charmer (Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2)
So Bruce Lee choreographed the fight scenes. No wonder they worked out so well. Btw, the Jackie Chan bit was kind of funny. He earned his Bruce Lee hug.
Of course they are choreographed all fights in movies are what you think they all just went at it. Most martial artists go through the motion's of what thy want done there the star and things have to move to there rhythm plus so no one gets hurt it's movie fighting.
@@daviddoyle8956 Of course I know all fight scenes are choreographed; but they're not all choreographed by Bruce Lee. Do you always take comments out of context?
If anyone remembers an old TV show called "Treasure Island" the Black dude was named Rocket Tarkington. Him & Jim Kelly were in a movie together called "Melinda" in 1972, which was filmed in LA where Jim's Dojo school is located Rockne thought the pay was too low, so he bowed out, so Jim Kelly got the gig. Same producers did "Black Belt Jones" around the time Bruce passed.
Rockne was also in a little known, but great movie called "Zebra Force", beside the pay, some said he didn't like what he thought were racial slurs in the movie, won't get into that, but he missed out on something great ...
The "old TV show" you refer to was called "Danger Island" and were episodic in the late 1960's. Rockne played the merchant marine character "Morgan" and had the baddest combi-stick! The only thing I didn’t know was Bruce’s stage fright. He seemed infinitely confident, but in his books he teaches us to act outwardly calm no matter what we feel inside. That by doing that, we better channel our emotions into our movements and confuse or even frighten our opponents.
The story of Jim Kelly is true, Penthouse magazine had a classic article about him and all the Asian, White, and mixed groups of women he went to town on. The rumor was that JK was urinating blood from having a damaged blood vessel. He used his member like a weapon.
Why are you even commenting on this matter? Out of all the things one could choose to say about a total stranger, you happen to speak on this topic with no regard for the mans family or privacy

The fight scene between Bruce Lee and Robert Wall is proof they has to increase the frame rate of the cameras because Bruce was moving so fast . Watch closer and you'll notice little blurring when Bruce is fighting . They had to increase the frame rate because if they didn't his arms and legs would disappear and reappear while he was moving because he was so fast . Again watch the scenes more closely . There's so many cut scenes because that's the way they had to shoot with film being shot so fast . They had very little time to shoot each shot before they had to put in a new roll of film .
Everyone in the world knows they had to speed up the camera for Bruce because speeded up is then processed as slower motion. It's common knowledge not a secret mate.

Actors Steve McQueen and James Coburn were two of the pallbearers at the funeral of Bruce Lee. They had been students of Bruce when he lived in Los Angeles.
Chan was also one of the goons chasing the girl along the waterfront and the cut scene shows the young boy in the beginning of the film was his little brother he was asked to check in on. The video didn't mention the flips that Lee's character did in the film were not really Lee (O'Hara fight, monk fight) but maybe everyone knows that already. A nice "mistake" i like to mention is, look at Lee's hand (slow it down) when the dog jumps out at him, you can see the plaster on Lee's hand from the bottle fight, which hasn't happened in the film yet. Which let you know they didn't film scenes in order as shown in the film. Also not mentioned was the fact that Bruce Lee was really goong to kill Bob Wall for cutting him. He believed that if he didn't he would loose face to his country men. But his wife and i think the director talked him out of it saying they had film all of Bob Wall's fight scenes (they had) Lee had to do something so...look at that last kick, it goes in deep and did break the arm of a guy standing behind Bob due to the force Bob flew back into the guy. Nice video 👍🏼

21 Aug 2024 Check out the marvellously and meticulously researched book ("Bruce Lee : A Life" by Matthew Polly), awarded the accolade of Sunday Times "Book of the Year". Chockfull of unearthed gems, anecdotes and hitherto unknown secrets/insights into the life story and behind-the-scenes of Lee's five movies (including the stalled/incomplete "The Game of Death"). The list of those interviewed for this masterful biopic is practically a who's who reigning then the cinematic circuits both in Hollywood and HK. Worth every cent of my money I reckon. Jim Kelly's wanton sexual escapades during his time shooting the movie in HK was testified by everyone on set (page 418 of book). Nora Miao never married, partly because she never got over her infatuation/love for Bruce despite him being married. To the best of my recollection from media interviews over the decades, neither has she explicitly denied her feelings for him, wavering over the persistent queries of their (sexual trysts) relationship. In Rome particularly ("Way of the Dragon") they were frequently, openly, "canoodling". "Certainly everyone else involved in the production believed they crossed it (the line).....It was a fling....no big deal" (page 369). Back in HK, Bruce dumped her for Betty (again) (page 373). My high recommendation of the book notwithstanding, not once is there mention of the female lead in "The Big Boss". I'm guessing either she was uncontactable or declined to be interviewed. Or maybe she had passed on already. Also another big miss : the bare-breasted prostitute. The official verdict on Bruce's cause of death is strenuously challenged by Polly. #16. William Smith (Red Dawn, Any Which Way But Loose, Rich Man, Poor Man) was originally approached to play Roper. It was decided he was just too massive of stature next to Bruce Lee.
He also would not have been intimidated by Bolo.
Watch for the Smiling Man in the Background, in the final fight scene 🤔
I can't share this video to young people I know. Because u another word instead of saying Kelly mess around with a lot of women. Other then that it's a wonderful video. God bless From the sledgemaster.
RIP Bruce ❤️
Bruce would have made a great Kung Fu. Grasshopper.
The show runners of Kung-Fu thought an american audience wouldn't accept an asian leading man back then.
@@kerry-j4m I know.they wanted a man to look Asian but who was not Asian. I wonder if David Carradine knew he was stealing Bruce’s role? I would think you would feel horrible. If you guys were then again that’s all I Wi-Fi
@@maestromike91971 I have no ideal if David knew about Bruce being up for the role or not, but,if Lee did get the role Kung-Fu would've been a completely different tv show that's for sure. LOL.
@@kerry-j4m i agree. If they told him, he would feel bad knowing he was taking the job to him. I just thought Bruce Lee would have made a better Grasshopper.
@@maestromike91971 Yes,Bruce would've made a much better Grasshopper.
I knew about this things . I’m a big Bruce Lee fan! I was young when he passed. I thought how could he pass? He’s so strong and fast?
Bruce died at Betty Ting Pei’s house. It’s not really a secret, or a ‘rumour mill’ thing. He was having an affair and they wanted to keep it hushed up.
Challenge accepted!
Bruce did not envision a king fu fighter traveling the American west. He heard about it when it was being developed and expressed interest.
Bruce Lee also indulged in cannabis.
And cocaine !
Yeah, look up the "Bruce Lee Drug Letters".
Be water, my friend
i new all of them

I read somewhere that Bruce couldnt do his back flip kick so fatty Samo Hung did it for him . Seems reasonable after seeing him do those back somersaults .
It's wasn't Sammo. It was Yuan Wah who did the gymnastics for Bruce.
@@arthurl.9985absolutely correct !
Sammo may've been fat but very agile and acrobatic for a guy his build and frame.
Wrong. Sammo was capable but someone else that was closer to Bruce's size did it. Sammo outweighed Bruce by at least 50 lbs and wasn't cut. No one would've believed that Sammo was Bruce
@@arthurl.9985 You maybe correct , seem to remember reading in Jackie Chans Autobiography that Sammo did it but its been a while since I read it .
Easiest thing in the world to insult somebody knowing they can't insult you back - cowardly, in fact.
Did you hear of the transvestite version, "Enter With Drag On"
LOL, that's hilarious
What was said about Jim Kelly at 2:03-2:08 was in poor taste and thoughtlessness. I kinda wonder if racism was involved here?
Actually it’s the 60s and 70s Hollywood, a lot of stars did swinging. Even Bruce Lee cheated on Linda.
Really, with who? Betty Ting Pe or Nora Miao?

Check out the marvellously and meticulously researched book ("Bruce Lee : A Life" by Matthew Polly), awarded the accolade of Sunday Times "Book of the Year".
"Bloated testicles" it was (the size of tennis balls if I recall right from another documentary, caused by venereal disease).
Bruce himself confessed to instances of marital infidelity, citing Steve McQueen as the greater devil than himself. And not just Betty Ting Pei (open secret really, they sharing her apartment in HK, Bruce a frequent visitor, the paparazzi and neighbours disclosed definitely to the media).
Chapter 25 ("The Inquest", page 455). An absolutely absorbing and fascinating rebuttal.
Last minor grouse : Page 357. "Fanfare" is described as a Singapore newspaper. Correction - it was a leisure/entertainment magazine. I was a reader of the now-defunct publication. Gracias.

Clifford, I couldn't get through on your reply link regarding your reservations and queries. Is it being locked out? Thanks.
You never mentioned that Bolo was to fight Lee , but the script was changed. And Saxon filled in . But I know why . NP
Bruce Lee was American
Is this a bot or a person narrating ?
Garbage anyways.
Raymond chow did not want him to do enter the dragon that changed everything between the two of them because he wanted to hold on to Bruce Lee and not give him up and have him moving back to the United States this played a part in have him killed and Bruce Lee made up his mind to do the movie and move back to the United States that was to much for Raymond chow to deal with it
I don't buy that story .
@@BruceStephan Me neither.
@@BruceStephanI personally don’t believe anyone killed Bruce… I just believe he over worked his body to such perfection that he had to pay the ultimate price.
Bruce Lee films, 50 years on and some of the martial arts films today can’t touch him.
According to a book i read, the prostitutes in the movie were real prostitutes and were making more money than some of the other people in the movie.
At the time, the book said; that if they played them then they HAD TO be real in Hong Kong.
Angelo Mao was only paid $ 300 dollars for her performance and-GREAT-fight scene in Enter the Dragon.
Con thumb nail to get views
I did know. Stupid title.
Not that good! It was a bad bond movie Bruce was the only reason, but not much? He doesn’t fight people who know king fu ?
He’s the only one who knows king fu ? He fights nobodies Chuck Norris ,Bob Wall ? Definitely not Shaw Brothers quality!
He didn’t have a great body of work ? His body of work is Green Hornet !I have a decent collection of martial arts videos and his are not the best?he only had 3 ? AndFist of Fury was the best ! He was good but not the best !
Bruce Lee should have been happy with any acting job he got since he was a terrible actor.
The real terrible actor is Steven Seagal.
Bruce Lee on the other hand is known for acting smug, cavalier, intimidating, and fierce even without saying a word.
Enter the Dragon 🐉 launch the Cinematic careers of so many household names we know today.
Did you know Bruce already working on his next movie Game of Death before Hollywood came a calling?? Lee putted production on "Hold " & started working on Enter the Dragon 🐉??
