I wasn't sure where you were going with this at first but that was entertaining and very educational. I watched He-Man when I was a kid, unfortunately saw the movie and you just explained so much. I knew there had to be a rational explanation for the weirdness and duplicity. Triplicity? Great work and many thanks.

True enough. I watched both as part of a "power hour" that aired on weekends, just a few years after both shows ended. She-ra stakes were higher since the villains were already in control of most of the planet; so the goal was for Adora/She-ra and the rebels to protect their home and try to free the rest of the planet.

Little known fact: in CT where I grew up, this show aired before any kids got home from school(K-6th) so they missed the target audience by 1/2 hour and took them a year to figure it out. I used to hate missing that show.

Ther most unrealistic part of the whole movie is the use of a 300 baud modem transferring data in real time. That technology simply did not exist.

I think you should go and read about the Union General Joe Hooker. He had a reputation for being fond of whisky and camp followers, which is why the slang for prostitutes is "hookers". Hardly the paragon of virtue you intimate, and was hopelessly outclassed by R E Lee. So not exactly one of the Unions best and brightest. Hooker's nickname among his own troops was "fightin' Joe". Robert E Lee used to mischievously refer to him as "Mr F J Hooker". Also don't forget the Real Estate franchise L J Hooker, seems to be plenty of "Choose you own first letter" J Hookers around

“The prop department added various things…” In fact, Andrew Probert, renowned designer of the USS Enterprise D on Star Trek: the Next Generation, as well as Street Hawk, the original Cylon Centurions on Battlestar Galactica, and more, designed all the weapons and tech add-ons. They were not simple “additions” by “the props department”. They were commissioned designs from the world’s foremost sci-fi designer of the era.

Part of the reason why the shows ratings tanked during the Cherry and Mayer episodes was due to the fact that the writers of the show did not write a script for those two actors, rather they kept the prewritten script meant for Wopat and Schneider, the two actors were acting a script that was simply not a good fit for them. Ofc, the other reason is because they weren't Bo and Luke.
