I am having a hard time, because Seulgi is my bias in RV, Hyoyeon is my bias in SNSD, and BoA is just my QUEEN! ALL 3 of them KILLING the choreo, was my death. I think Hyoyeon and BoA might be my joint biases, although Hyoyeon was stealing my attention the most in this. She freaking ATE this song. I personally LOVE Hyo's vocals, and rap, AND her kick@ss dancing. She truly does it all, and I give her mad props for having THIS MUCH SWAG!

When I first watched Step Back l got nonstopping goosebumps each time one member appeared because it felt so surreal that all those amazing female artists actually performed together. Step back was so cool and I enjoyed every second of it because as Taeyeon mentioned it is something that (most probably) we won't see again.
Or at least not with this same lineup
My 2 ult's BoA and Taeyeon in the same song was a dream come true for me, but I have to say Wendy really stole the show for me cause her vocals were so good in this song.

Not Seulgi and BoA battling it out for my bias position. The way Seulgi came through on this choreography needs to be studied. First of all So Sorry I am very late, second of all OH MY GOODNESS YES!! This whole Performance was ICONIC Just everything about it and same I don't really know Taeyeon, Hyoyeon, or BoA as much all I know is that they are very Iconic and they are Legends with Vocals, Rap, Dance, and so on but after watching this I will definitely check them out more! All I got to say is that Winter and Karina KILLED IT they are legit Monster Rookies like holy cow, and Wendy and Seulgi were just WOW Seulgi can step on me her whole outfit her dance and her Vocals oh my God, and Wendy was just WOW her lines were just Iconic this is why she is my favorite Vocalist in K - Pop because she did not sound like herself really at all and her Rap and outfit was just again WOW! the off key organ or whatever is in the back sounds so eerie to me and i love it. it's so unique and different. it's january 3rd, and i already have a contender for my top 10 of 2022... my favorite part was the Wendy/Winter pre chorus. Honestly I understand people being upset by the lyrics. But at the end of the day, songwriters write about personal experiences. And there are people out there living as misogynist. It's no different than Brandy and Monica's The Boy is Mine. Music is meant to be enjoyed, sometimes you just have to get over the lyrics and enjoy the beat and the production. It's not that deep most of the time.

The lyrics aren’t just about telling another girl to stay back. The English translation sounds quite degrading tbh and I heard that it’s even worse if you speak Korean. They’re basically calling this imaginary girl worthless and telling her to stop trying. The fact that a known misogynist was the one to write lyrics for them and not another women makes it worse tbh.
The nature of the song itself is not that bad (speaking generally) but why does the main theme of this sub unit have to be attacking other girls when it could be about uplifting themselves. Idk about you but give some of kpops best women a song like this is just tragic.
