Nick, I just discovered your channel and I appreciate you taking your time to teach. I have waisted my time the past year with a bunch of so called gurus that make claims but are really deceiving people with methods that are outdated. I put an average of 16 hours a day 6days a week. Although I haven't been successful in any of my endeavors I haven't lost my passion to become successful. Thank you
Nick thanks so much for making this video and your series. I discovered Make last week and got very excited at it's potential to automate tasks in our video marketing agency, but after 15 plus hours of watching their tutorials and other videos on YT and getting bogged down in the processes and errors I was starting to lose the will to live LOLs. You're straight forward no nonsense approach is extremely refreshing so hats of to you for "making" it.
A few things Nick, not trying to inflate your ego, but you communicate so well to the camera it is crazy. Great job! Can't wait to go through all your videos.
This is the best and clearest make tutorial/course i have seen yet. You are an excellent teacher. Love this! And thank you for taking the time to do. Since you use instantly, i would love to see how to build an email assistant that automatically responds to instantly leads in a master inbox! 🎉
This put a smile on my face! Thanks. AI autoresponders are awesome, but Instantly actually just released that feature natively-I think it's called "AI Response" or similar.
@@nicksaraev I actually tried it and it does a very poor job. Until they finesse it, i would not turn it on. It cost me a client. It literally takes the exact response in the macros without customization based on the response of the client. So its not good usage right now. I wish they will release their unibox api already but still not done. If you have any solutions you built for auto response, i would love to see it!
I understand how to make flow but what I don't get is how you would set it up for the customer. I.e. do you need full access to their system to provide the automations? How would that work? A video with an example scenario as well as a mock delivery of an automation would be awesome.
Hey Nick, new to automations. found your channel few months ago, then kinda disapeared, and Im back to fully dive in now. THanks for all this amazing knowledge you are sharing with us.
Thank you Nick for this wonderful tutorial and your youtube tutorials as a whole. I had to scrape the whole internet before I found you. I'm starting my own AI Agency specializing in automations and this channel is one of it's kind! Have you tried using make to build and automate websites?
Happy Sunday, Nick! I reached out over insta, but figure this might be a better platform to connect. Been watching everything you've put out so far and currently prepping to integrate your strategies into my own business. Would love to hop on a call with you sometime this week to pick your brain if you have some spare time. Hope all is well! - Kevin
Hi Nick..thanks for the video. Just got to know about Make a few weeks ago. Am interested to learn more automation and also see how I could make money with it. I don't have an own company to utilize it, so see if I could offer services to other companies.
Hey Nick, loving your content and the clarity of thought you bring to it! So I’ve gone through this training and a few others and now have a decent understanding of how make works. How would you suggest I start building a “portfolio” of sorts to test my skills and have something to showcase?
Thanks for this Kareem! What I'd do: 1. Go through each system in this course (lead gen, emails, project management, etc) and rebuild them using different platforms. Try Notion vs Monday vs ClickUp for instance. 2. Then record a video on each-5-10 minutes maybe-walking through how they work and the logic to each using Loom. Automations are very visual, videos are the best format for this. You can copy paste my explanations, just make sure you understand them. Probably take a few hours. 3. At the end you'll have a library of system videos. And since you've done this in a bunch of popular CRMs/PM tools, you'll be able to handle most client projects. P.S Notion/Monday/ClickUp are probably used by 50% of all marketing agencies or info product companies. So when you find a prospect, your systems will look hyper relevant to them. There are a few more but this should be a good start. Hope this helps man.
I just discovered you and I am all in! I love your pacing while talking. I used to be a corporate facilitator and want to give you, your kudos. Now onto a request...LOL Can you make a video on how to connect Google Drive? I have used Make's tutorial and fail with a error 400 and a few other errors that I just can't overcome. maybe you have some insight?
What a compliment-thank you! Are you using an @gmail.com address? Google usually requires a business email (@yourbusinessname.com) or they gate permissions differently. There are workarounds, but the $8/m for Google Workspace is probably worth not having to deal with them. Hope this helps 🙏
@@nicksaraev thank you for responding to my question. I was using my gmail but I will go back and use my business email and see if that is the solution. i was following another automation specialist guidance and they didn't clarify that.
@@nicksaraev as a follow up i finally got connected and i did the dumbest thing but....to not humiliate myself any further i will just say I am now connected.
Great video, looking forward to the rest of the course. Quick question, when you build scenarios for businesses, do you have these run under your account or do you have clients setup their own make accounts?
I've experimented with both. If you set them up under your account you'll "own" their ops & the implication can affect your relationship. I.e you're locking them in and adding a fair bit of friction if they ever want to leave. The upside for you is it's faster and easier to set up, plus you increase billables a bit (since they pay you for their subscription) or you can bundle that into the cost. Nowadays days I prefer to have them set up their own account themselves and just give me the keys. It takes longer, but ensures the client has total freedom and that there's no lengthy account transfer if we do ever stop working together. I only ever bill month to month because I want people that want to work with me and this is part of that philosophy imo.
Really appreciate this series. Thanks! Do you mind if I ask why you're paying $99 per month when you say the $18 per month level is sufficient? Usually legacy pricing is a better deal, so I assume there's some upside I'm missing. Thanks again!
Hey Tricia-glad you enjoyed. The $18/mo plan with 10K operations is sufficient for most people watching. But in my case I run several agencies out of one account, so I need around 15 times that! & legacy plan is more economically effective hence why I'm still using it.
Hi Nick, just discovered your channel few days back and it been quite interesting. When you create a scenario for a client do you let it run under your account or do you get them to create a separate Make account & set up your scenarios there?
Glad I could help. Great q & the TLDR is I always set things up under my account. I cover this in detail here if you're interested: ruclips.net/video/dVKYcbqlteo/видео.html Hope this is valuable to you 🙏
Hey Nick I am super curious about this software for some of my business ventures. Do you have any tips for a beginner friendly project that can be offered as a service to generate some steady income? (Love your content btw, very down to earth and practical)
Hey Christian, really appreciate this. Yes definitely. I'd probably do a simple lead gen system (since that's often the most pressing agency need) and charge ~$1.5K for it with some recurring component. I go more into detail here if you're interested: ruclips.net/video/NsQWWnu7vzI/видео.html
