Love yr channel. And having immense respect for your thoughtful recommendations I think that Gabe Lee’s Drink the River needs to be part of a 2023 conversation😊.
Hey sir, am new to your channel but just subscribed. Think we have very similar music tastes - Dylan, Wilco, Springsteen, Replacements... Also wanted to say I too suffer from anxiety and severe OCD. A bout of OCD i had a few years ago was so bad that i had to spend some time in hospital. So i know its not easy, and good for you for talking about it and pressing on. Happy New Year! Stuart
I must have missed your reviews of the MoFi One Step Springsteen and the Analogue Productions UHQR of Steely Dan. I assume you thought the audiophile releases were worth the cost. I will go back and look for your reviews. Great list!
So cool the Pernice Brothers stuff is out again. Love that Big Thief single too. Great video…looking forward to the upcoming series, although I know it will be difficult for you.
As a huge Bottle Rockets fan, it was nice seeing them get a mention here. 24 Hours A Day is my favorite album of theirs. It was their only major label release. They had a guy at Atlantic who was a fan and took care of them, and he was let go, so they were no longer a priority there. Luckily for me Brian Henneman and Mark Ortmann play fairly regularly around St. Louis in a country cover band. The last time I went to see them, Tom Parr the rhythm guitarist was there to watch the show, it was nice seeing 3/4 of the original lineup in the same room.
Enjoy your videos as always so thanks! Big Wilco, Jason Isbell, Dylan fan but whilst the Cat Power one is interesting it’s just a covers album to me. Sorry!
Hi Chris, hope you are well and came through the holiday as unscathed as possible. Simply stated, the best part of the video for me was the last three minutes. I look forward to the ones you mentioned after the first of the year. Take care!
I’m friends with both sides. Sub Pop wanted to do a 20th Anniversary edition of Meadowlands. European festivals were offering them slots on festivals. They could not come to an agreement.
Man, we have so many records (genres, jams, show memories) in common. Diggin your channel. Thx for posting.

Great stuff. Regards, Mark in Manchester, England
Thank you!

Nice video…cool Music; most is fresh to me. Also Dig the last part of your video, cheers to doing well and being ‘well enough’ to notice that! 👍
Thank you very much!

I think all of the Pernice records will be reissued by New West. That is very good news.
@@TheLongCut1 My favorite is probably The World Won’t End.
Some great recommendations here. Many thanks for a wonderful collection of videos this year.👍
My pleasure!

I would love to see them again! Henneman never got the credit he was due.

Hahahah. I get it! But a very good covers record :).

Thanks for the note, John! Hope you are well.
Hey, thanks for your video. Not a big deal, but Can’t Buy a Thrill an AP UHQR pressing, not MoFi. Cheers!
You are correct! Appreciate the clarification.
If you like ambient, check Patricia Wolf last record See-Through (from balmat label)
Listening now. Dig it. Thanks!
There will sadly never be another Wrens record.
Yeah, doesn’t look promising. But I love both Aeon Station and the new stuff from Bissell.
