I've drilled a secondary hole in your first clip, before the other two were available and it took almost 5 minutes on a drill press with a tungsten carbide dill bit. It dulled the bit... I'm very impressed with the Steel you guys make these out of.

I've used the Ulticlip for 5+ years on my every day carry, never had any issues till I change my pants brand name. The new pants don't have much of a lip for the clips to hold on to. The old clips are still great shape and I just ordered 3 Ulticlip XL before seeing this overview. Thanks Guys and God Bless you.

I'm currently searching for a clip-on folding dump pouch to clip onto a pants pocket or belt and to use in applications like fishing, DIY, bushcraft and foraging, and i can't find shit. I hope Ulticlip releases its own folding dump pouch, and i think it would gain instant popularity by sending the pouches out to youtubers in the bushcraft community primarily.

Im having the same issue. There is no reason to have even half the tension that they have on the clip. It make the holster unusable. I contacted the company ad they seem to be unfazed by my problems with their product. Not good.
This clip would seem to keep the holster from sliding around on the belt too I think. I wear a hybrid stealthgear holster and I start it out at 4:00 but after a little bit of wear it slides to 5:00. If I'm correct on that I'm gonna have to give the XL's a try
The XL locks down so that the clip can not come off your belt without rotating the flap to unlock it. The XL can help keep your holster from sliding around but it would depend on the thickness of your belt. If your belt is thin, then there is still the potential for it to slide. If you are looking for a clip that will not slide then check out the Ulticlip3. Ulticlip3 is designed to be clamped directly to your pants behind your belt. It will not slide around when once you clamp it to you pants.
Have you had people complaining about the extreme retention on the clamping down in so much it's hard to open. I have three and they're all the same and hard to open. I have tried to grind one down with a Dremel and still to to hard to open. Thanks, Gary
Excellent. Due to a medical condition I must use the bathroom often. I can't carry appendix because I need to drop my pants often. I carry IWB using a Vedder Lighttuck. The ability to tilt the gun forward allows me to carry a more substantial gun with a longer grip with no printing. Straight drop doesn't work for me. I need a 20 degree cant. That's the resaon i use the Vedder. However the Vedder clip is at it's limit with the weight of my 19. If there was a Ulti Clip that had adjustable cant I'd buy several.
Michael- take a look at our Ulticlip 3+. It works on the Vedder LightTuck and cant can be achieved by positioning the holster at the angle you want before securing the holster to the waistband. Please let us know if you have other questions, we’d be happy to help if we can.
Does it loosen up? Right now I have to use a flat head screwdriver to open it up. It is secure but not usable now. Nothing like the ease shown on the video.
This belt does not work with the The Wilderness "5 stich" reinforced belt, which is a bummer because any belt worth carrying a firearm with has have this type rigidity. I really hope to see a 1.75" and 2"+ versions in the future.
WARNING: Just got them and placed one on my holster. I went to pull out my firearm and I managed to pull my firearm out but it was still in the holster. I tried 4-6 times, making sure that I clamped the clip properly on my pants, I was wearing docker pants. The clamp was secure on my pants and was all the way down but each time I pulled on my firearm the clip came right off my pants. I was so excited and thought this would work, it didn't. When I pull my firearm out I need to know that it will work properly. I'm returning my order!

How do I mount one to my Concealment Express like he has in the video. He shows the concealment express (CE) holster but then shows another holster with the Ulticlip XL on it. Reason I’m asking is that the CE holster has the screws horizontally but the Ulticlip is designed for vertical arraignment.
Kenyon York The Concealment Express holsters can be ordered in either configuration. If yours is set up with horizontal holes it won’t work with our XL.
Why can’t you use the regular Ulticlip 3 while wearing a belt, but just clip to your pants just like you would without a belt and then when you wear a belt, the belt completely conceals the clip. This would seem like the best solution because you don’t need to switch out clips when go from days where you wear a belt to days where you don’t wear belt. When you aren’t wearing a belt, the top clip part of the Ulticlip 3 is small enough and not easily seen by others. And when you are wearing a belt, the Ulticlip clips directly to the pants and belt goes over top, which fully conceals the clips. The Ulticlip 3 under the belt, seems like the best solution, because if you use the Ulticlip XL both with and without a belt, you have a huge clip that can easily be seen.
You are exactly right and that’s why the 3+ has become our most popular and most versatile clip for use on holsters. For those that always wear a belt, the XL is also a great option.
Hey guy I am reading this is a metal clip with sharp edges and chews up the belt and it also leaves a residue on pants And so one has to put oil or other lubricant on the clip too? To prevent it from rusting? So the clip will rust and can leave rust marks in pants or jeans and on belts too?
Our clips are made from heat treated spring steel. The edges are rounded and contoured where they can be and each of the parts get tumbled to smooth the edges. As for residue, that would depend on the oil/lubricant that you may/may not use on the clip.

@@deepb249 Our clips don't typically chew up the pants. Because they clamp to the fabric, there isn't friction or metal dragging against the pants. When used with a belt, they will of course make contact with the back side of the belt. Will they scratch the belt? They could but it's not a common complaint that we hear. Oil- our clips get a light coat of oil after receiving a black oxide finish. Excess oil can be wiped off before use if that's a concern.
That type of holster is not compatible with our current clips. We’ll be releasing a new clip in a few months that is designed around that hole pattern.
I’m about to buy an IWB and OWB holster from Odin Holsters. Is this Ulticlip XL still the best clip for the uses you described here? Or is there a newer superior model to this XL? I ask because this video is five years old.

I have a concern. My husband makes his own belts . He uses a green military tow strap to make the belts ?'Large ladder lock buckles" . And the dilemma is while the belt only measures in at 1.75 inch. It is double layered on the area that he clips it at, the 420 or so area. This is when a 2 inch total belt space is needed. If this ulti can handle the thickness of the doubled tow strap is my only concern . I guess the only way to know is to buy it and see . However I would also like to know if one can use the ulti with KYDEX Holsters? As these aren't 2 dollar clips. The chaep clips that came with our holsters could be like unto the use of a child's clip. And they are useless They call these fold over plastic clips

I would need 4. If they were titanium, I would have no problem paying $30-45 each. If it helps. VSMPO titanium seems to be a major player in the titanium world market. Plus I have a folding shovel of their and it is damn good!

I also understand patents make a difference. On a side note regarding marketing. I seriously think you should market this to people who just want to hold up their pants. I intend to use 4 in this way while leaving my belt wrapped around me holding my EDC items(I wear a lot of leather, I cannot bear the idea of holes in my sheaths etc.)
@@lowkeylowkey1000 Our patent applies to the clip design. Also- titanium doesn’t provide the “spring” characteristic needed to create the retention that our clips provide.
Keegan- unlike our other clips, the XL locks AROUND the belt rather than clamping to the belt or waistband. It is designed to work well with a 1.5” belt. We’ve never had any complaints of wiggle/movement from those carrying with the XL... and we assure you it won’t slide off of the belt prematurely!

If we use the slotted hole for height adjustment , do we leave the bottom hole without a screw because I would think if we screw the bottom hole , then we can’t adjust the slotted hole correct? I bought two of these. No mounting instructions, impossible to use the upper holes. I must be missing something, bcs I’m finding this the worst clip I’ve ever bought. I love the classics I have. I just went to the website; NO installation instructions, only an unneeded template.
The company needs to go back to the drawing board and do a remake. The amount of tension on their clip is a real deal breaker. I would like to see the foot pounds that is required to open the clip. Even half of what that amount is is too much. What were/are they thinking?? All of their customers are King Kong or something?? Dude! Fix it.

Just got my ulticlip xl, but damn it's SO tight I haven't been wearing my gun cuz this ulticlip can only be pryec open like 3mm.

Would I need two clips if I have a traditional clip with two screws like the one used for demonstration without the ulticlip

I was mainly concerned with is it going to rust? Do you plan on making a titanium variant? The steel looks like $18. I would need 4. If they were titanium, I would have no problem paying $30-45 each. If it helps. VSMPO titanium seems to be a major player in the titanium world market. Plus I have a folding shovel of their and it is damn good!
@@lowkeylowkey1000 Thanks for the feedback. We love titanium but our patented design requires that we manufacture using spring steel to get the retention that people have come to expect from our clips. They are finished in a military grade black oxide which holds up pretty well.
@@ULTICLIP Now you made me curious. Patent only restriction or do you think it would work with Titanium but your company does not have a patent for it in such metal? I also understand patents make a difference.
On a side note regarding marketing. I seriously think you should market this to people who just want to hold up their pants. I intend to use 4 in this way while leaving my belt wrapped around me holding my EDC items(I wear a lot of leather, I cannot bear the idea of holes in my sheaths etc.)
@@lowkeylowkey1000 Our patent applies to the clip design. Also- titanium doesn’t provide the “spring” characteristic needed to create the retention that our clips provide.
Does the XL wiggle slight bit when clipped on belt since there are 1.50” width and 1.75” width sized belts?
Keegan- unlike our other clips, the XL locks AROUND the belt rather than clamping to the belt or waistband. It is designed to work well with a 1.5” belt. We’ve never had any complaints of wiggle/movement from those carrying with the XL... and we assure you it won’t slide off of the belt prematurely!

ULTICLIP thank you. If we use the slotted hole for height adjustment , do we leave the bottom hole without a screw because I would think if we screw the bottom hole , then we can’t adjust the slotted hole correct? I bought two of these. No mounting instructions, impossible to use the upper holes. I must be missing something, bcs I’m finding this the worst clip I’ve ever bought. I love the classics I have. I just went to the website; NO installation instructions, only an unneeded template.

Anyone try this on a 1.75 belt??
Mike- if the belt isn't terribly thick and has a bit of flex you should be able to use it with the XL clip. Let us know if you have other questions.
Need to make it plain with no logo. Defeats the purpose of concealed with a logo ppl can identify.

The company needs to go back to the drawing board and do a remake. The amount of tension on their clip is a real deal breaker. I would like to see the foot pounds that is required to open the clip. Even half of what that amount is is too much. What were/are they thinking?? All of their customers are King Kong or something?? Dude! Fix it.
