Thank you for this video! I used your method to get mine apart, figuring I would have to replace it anyways (there were spots in the screen). Turns out I just needed to rise the films under some water and they dried up pretty quick. A microfiber cloth took away any spots and my screen looks like it did brand new now. I had water/cleaner damage and some sort of yellow residue that had splintered out making me think the films were damaged. Fixed it right up! Thank you!

Is there a way to clean fungus on the 4th layer from the back, before polarizer, the reflective one without smudging it? I've fixed my 101 but when it's tilted, from the side you can see some smudge. Looks perfect from the front tho.
Im not sure that it is, ive tried cleaning it and had no luck. But then I only used IPA but didnt try any other chemicals or anything else.
do you have a video that fixes an sp that powers on but the lcd doesn't come? Verified screen is good and working btw.

Im Sorry "/ as far as I know there is no replacement films available to purchase. I used some from another broken screen

You introduced these as OEM products, but I wonder if I can understand them to mean that they are not genuine Nintendo products.
Please understand that it is not smooth because I used a translator.

How to solve white bleed screen problem?
I dont think you can fix those
There is some lcd screens where you can fix screen bleeding. Unfortunately on sp 101 lcds you cannot, ive already tried and had no luck.
Screen bleeding usually refers to the backlight bleeding out the edges, like the white corners... But I took it apart and it really didnt have much to do with the backlight, I could see on the lcd itself on the actual pixels, that it still had the white edges even without the backlight

@@necromancia2101 el de 001 no tiene capas de films. Porque no tiene la luz por detras del lcd. Entonces no tiene.

so if the screen won't turn on at all there is no chance to save it?
Not really, it depends on why its not turning on at all. May be ribbon cable issue. Or the internal leds for the backlight burnt out. Either issue is repairable and can be saved. ")
Only unrepairable issue is if the lcd glass component itself is broken... Then its a goner "(
@@retrostashrepairs I bought an ags 101 from ebay but the seller didn't say that it had water damage and was already opened.
the screens has white specs but won't show a sign of life, the board itself has no obvious corrosion but the sticker turned pink.
It won't turn on but the led lights up with the charger plugged in, the F1 and F2 fuses are fine but the big cap near the cpus is missing and I don't know which one I need.
I don't really know what to look for or where to start since I have never repaired one like this.
@@BladeEXE67 you should dm me on insta so I can help better. Your probably talking about the capacitor below the vloume slider/potentiometer. So your no power issue will be something else, and not the cap.

I used the ones from a broken screen. You can also use the ones from a ds lite lcd too ")

Good question, I actually havent seen the inside of a ds lite lcd. But theoritically you probably could as long the films inside are the same.

@@Xgaara96 sorry it took so long lol. But I tried it out and it actually worked, but its not as bright. Theres a couple of more things I need to try first.

Can I use the insides of an Ags101 screen to fix a water damaged Gameboy Micro screen? I have a shattered ags101 screen and it would be cool if I can reuse it.
You probably could, if the films inside are the same. I actually have a micro water damaged one I need to fix, and a shattered one too... I just havnt gotten around to it yet.
I was going to make a video on it, but I recently have had really big ideas.
