Ryan is a chameleon. A deep talent. A man who can bear his soul, who can confess his pain, his desires and his truth. He can transform from an Indy rocker to a no depression country cat to a smooth modern intelligent pop crooner as we see here. A voice with the southern flair but not a corny accent put on for effect. I have seen him twice in concert and it’s truly breathtaking and supernatural. Bravo.

Such a ✨precious heart ✨Ryan Adam’s has 😌…. Love his honesty that oozes out of his lyrics …. Hold his music close to my heart for we are one in the same 😌💓🫶
👌...and The Cardinals was a perfect "ensamble", for me the best Band who played with Ryan! ...but now the sad soul of Neal Casal is fly away,☹really incredible!!!
I'd be wary of condemning the guy's nature based on what appears to be a modern day witch hunt (#metoo mania). His music is perfection that's all I know!
@@jdocherty2832 thats true. I do think if you asked Ryan himself if he was difficult to work with, he would tell you yes. Anything beyond that, I have no idea. All I do know is those live shows he played with the Cardinals are some of the best concerts I’ve ever heard
@@grifftrain True. I feel so lucky I got to see them live in 2007 (In Glasgow). It was the most beautiful music I've ever heard. Spent a lot of the concert in tears as the music was so impinging.
😊I listen Ryan since he played with WhiskeyTown and his talent was immediatly clear...sadly, there are three new albums ready to listen but...🤔I hope he found the solution about his problems and back to play good Rock🎸🎶
I've read the many comments about the strobing lights, and IMO, it's the video quality that we're seeing, not the reality. In the pull-back shots of the whole band, the lights are just like the show I saw a couple of weeks ago - from the back of the stage and on top behind Ryan. Can't imagine ALL those strobing lights being a real issue.
I saw the Replacements once and Paul berated the poor lighting guy brutally and then stomped all of the stage lights with his boots! In this case I would be more understanding.
Bringing the Godard, French New Wave vibe to the gig. They all sound great - I suspect this was after one of RA's stage diving broken wrist scenarios? I think one of his British shows? Hence no guitar? Everybody Knows is such a great tune - it's always better live IMO.
Not sure about the broken wrist scenario. He did a lot of performances through the years where he just did vocals without the usual stage banter. Perhaps the venue said no nonsense or a manager of some sort or that it was being recorded. I think these sets are great with the acoustic and steel guitars and the more subdued performance. Best part-Sun Also Sets 2:37: "I'll be surrrrreeeeeaaaggghhhhhhhh" So damn good. You can tell the lights or blowin up his Meniere's on this one, hell-they are too much for me on this small youtube screen.
Must have been two separate shows, since songs are repeating. Also, this is so painful to watch, seeing how Ryan was clearly in distress from the lights, due to his Meniere's Disease. Poor thing. :(
The story goes that Ryan asked the lighting guy to back off because of his Menieres and the guy refused so Ryan had a very bad show. It must have been a very bad experience for Ryan!! I can't watch this show because of that.

Nothing better than this era. I miss the way I used to feel when hearing these songs for the first time
Love this version of Ryan and for being with the Cardinals. I feel this was the peak of Ryan's music. RIP Neal. We miss you.
I agree.... around 2007 he was putting out some great music
I discovered Ryan with this album ( Easy Tiger ) I have all his 17 albums now . Love the guy :-)

thank you!
Amazing voice. Best singer of our generation.
Amazing performance. Neil’s Gibson sounding like you feel when you lay across railroad tracks. What songwriting, what a band
Release some of these shows on record!

what a performance! great voice, great songs, great backing band, great everything
Ryan Adams may not be a great guy, but from 2002-2008 he released some great music and his live shows were incredible. The guy is amazingly talented

no he is a good guy.

Those are the busiest lights I have ever seen. Jeez. Thanks for the upload though!
The lighting guy did not understand Menieres disease. He refused to stop the flashing lights even though Ryan requested that he calm them down.

RIP Neal ✌️🕊️🌻
So good!
You'd think the lighting guy would eventually take a hint
RIP, Spacewolf
Goodnight Rose .wow!
Dynamite! His Meniere's disease was clearly bugging him with the flashing lights.
Seems like the lightning director had a personal vendetta against Ryan. I mean, they don't even suit well with that style of music. Brutal.
It's very painful to watch. :/

That's because you don't realise how much they affect Ryan because of his Meniere's disease.

Anyone have a complete setlist for this performance???

He didn't stage dive, he just fell off the front of the stage.😣
2:00 Two
Do we know what date and venue this was in '07?

Kirk Trainer ... I always loved when Ryan belted out that part of the song!

Meniere's -/= migraine
Looks like the uploaded just repeated it to make it longer. Notice the crowd and other still frames, it’s the exact same performance- twice.
He should have just gone all Axl Rose on the lighting guy.

Big whoop
@@cubyman23 yeah, we're over it at this point. Nail Ryan to a cross and you have to do it to just about every rock star of any consequence.
