This is so beautiful, I actually went to bed with the TV on and the music woke me and I was transfixed and an ardent fan from that moment. I remember Neal Casal making such an impression with his beautiful voice and his deep emotion coming through with every word, I've only just discovered he passed away last year and I am devastated, such a terrible loss for a beautiful soul. RIP you lovely person.
And so young too (early 40's)... i am 39 and dont look that old , but i do feel like i lived lifetimes. I indulged in illicit substances for almost 20 years (clean now) but that lifestyle totally catches up, so i wonder if that came into play with Neal and Chris.
@@b.csplatbriancross7062Shame on you. What a hateful, gross comment. Go appreciate bad art and keep the Cardinals' name out of your angry hillbilly mouth, you emotionally maladjusted weirdo.

The Cardinals brought out the best of Ryan Adams musically. The live shows from 05 till early 09 were some of the best concerts in the history of rock n roll. Think that’s an overstatement? It’s not. Google them and listen. I understand that Ryan may have been difficult to work with, but I’m speaking of nothing but the music.
Bub Worsten those “semi acoustic” shows from 06 and 07 are some of the best shows I’ve heard. The sound is amazing. Reminds me of those may 77 shows from the Grateful Dead
Whatever Ryan is like in his personal life it cannot take away his superb talent, for me his music is like the richness of the 70's all over again, he is unique and highly talented, this concert blows me away.
Neal Casal was an amazing guitarist that was taken from us way too soon! Space Wolf on bass as well. Absolutely brilliant musicians. Thank you guys! 🎸🎼🎵🎶🧠🌌♾❤
Great. Miss the Cards. Great moment from @5:40-6:00 when the pedal steel solo starts and the camera pans across all the band members. You can see the contentment on their faces. I can only imagine what that's like -- to be totally in the pocket and knowing it.

There is a certainly a purity to one man /woman w/ an acoustic.. but.. hard to imagine this show without this great band. They contribute so much, and play with incredible taste & restraint. Fantastic musicians!
For anyone who digs this video, head over to Archive.org and check out some of the other shows from this Cardinals tour! Amazing stuff, an incredible tour. There are more than a dozen up there with soundboard quality, a few of the best are Das Haus, Somerville Theatre, Palace Theatre and La Maroquinerie.
This video is so good. Why Ryan Adams isnt a huge star is a mystery to me. The only thing I can make of it is he chooses not to be a star, because he has been the most talented musician of the past 20 years.
Thanks for adding this. Presently in a 'Go Ryan' period at the moment. I have these on/off periods with Mr Adams music. I was fortunate enough to catch this tour at the Manchester Academy, incredible, if very short show. The sound was very muddled and the lighting incredibly bad. Still that's Ryan, when he's good, he can be very good, but when he's bad......................
