I LOVE Ryan Adams. Saw him with The Cardinals a few years ago, outdoors in Boston. Unreal, about a 4 hr show, with a 15 min break. One of the best songwriters ever IMHO. The Cold Roses album, is, in my opinion, a masterpiece.
I’ve been listening to this once it first aired and I have searched this so regularly over the years. It’s gonna be a shame when we lose this. Amazing power in this performance
they were the best live band on the planet in their heyday. i saw them 12 times, and in that period, no show was the same.. Blue Cave/Red Cave was their peak (before they started hated Ryan)
It has. There are a few releases of Ryan Adams Easy Tiger. Released in 2007 there is a version with this very recording as the last cut. You can find it on Apple Music.
I must say I totally agree with you there … haven’t heard anything this good in decades … Ryan Adam’s is ssssO soulful and “REAL” … his brilliance far exceeds anything out there right now ( 2024) wish I would’ve stumbled upon him in his heyday 🙂↔️🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶thanks for sharing his music 🫶
FUCKING INCREDIBLE..I havent heard this in yrs and coming back to it is FUCKING AMAZING..ITS ACTUALLY BETTER NOT HEARING IT FOR A YEAR..I KNOW...I HAVE VOLUME UP TO 11
I love seeing these well dressed guys making great and interesting rock music! Everything about this performance is awesome; touching upon roots, growing, blending, and bringing it to a higher level! Ryan is always making great acoustic music, but I tend to like him getting a bit loose sometimes. Everybody shines in this performance. Excellent job! Most of all, thank you for uploading this and allowing me to watch this in Vietnam. I'm far from the USA, but I still can enjoy thanks to you!
Fucking amazing, he's always needed an internal editor but when the guy is on he is on all the way. I can't tell if it was a horrible decision not to formally release this or if it just adds to the mystique.
What sin replaces love...? Something about those words and the emphatic resonance created by an electric guitar... This tune does strange things to me.
Its never too late. Kids just improving with age, he used to be a kinda surly drunk but he's become quite an engaging and humorous frontman. I highly recommend his live shows.
+liljgoneman Actually just saw him play last night at the Capitol theatre. Acoustic show, was absolutely amazing. Still wish I saw him 10+ yrs ago tho!
It says a lot about somebody when they know how to make their guitar sound as good as they know how to play it. Lots of people have great taste but having enough sense to realize you have great taste makes you quite a force in terms of artistry.
my only problem with this song is you can't find it on itunes, cd, album, or anything where you can buy this amazing song .. if anyone knows please comment
@purplehaze2144 tons of musicians are doing just that right this very moment. the ones who will truly move you are aspiring to be themselves and noone else.
I don't know much of Ryan's music but I never forgot this song after I seen him perform it on Rollins show.
All I can say is that he is an eclectic, musical genius. The Ryan dive is a deep one, but so rewarding. Just go for it 👍
Start with Whiskeytown. You will be moved........
Such a great one for sure
RIP Neal Casal. Words can't describe the depth of our loss.
So sad
Rest easy Neal❤
I love turning this up to 11. This is rock at its best.
Just left the 11th thumbs up 😊

the Dead had a huge influence on that line up and i loved it!
This video tells me that Ryan is an underrated guitar player and that I'm glad he's sober now.
Don Was, the great producer, said Ryan Adams is the most underrated guitar player ever
that was painful and beautiful at the same time. what a true artist.
❤

Why are we going to loose it?
Lesley Patterson
Aliens? Ever hear of them? Cmon now..
Feels like the whole band can just feel Ryan's emotions overflowing in front of them. Gives me chills.

Why oh why didnt this get onto a purchasable format. Damn! Damn Good shit!
It has. There are a few releases of Ryan Adams Easy Tiger. Released in 2007 there is a version with this very recording as the last cut. You can find it on Apple Music.
There is also a live acoustic version on the Blue Stars: Sweeden Broadcast 👍
Ryan Adams defines Rock & Roll, this performance was no exception.
He is such a different man from this....amazing how he evolves. Great f'n song. Rip Spacewolf.
And Neal Casal 😭
I highly doubt music can get any better than Ryan Adams'.
I'm glad you like. Of all the videos I have up on this site, this is my favorite. It embodies EVERYTHING that is right with music.

I just don't know how I've never stumbled across this one before. Diggin' that Batman shirt, Ryan. ♥
ABSOLUTE PERFECTION
one of the best things on youtube
Agreed
A genius at work......
There's a 14 minute version of this on a bootleg soundboard recording from 2007.
Search for "Live from the Berlin Arena" on Archive.org.
Fucking amazing, he's always needed an internal editor but when the guy is on he is on all the way. I can't tell if it was a horrible decision not to formally release this or if it just adds to the mystique.
He's far ahead of his self it's in his favor to leave gems for the future fans to discover on their own accord,I feel
I think its a great bunch of musicians who gel with each other and like to experiment. Also, I love that RA is sweating and stumbling about.
Excellent. Pity about the volume going up and down
What sin replaces love...? Something about those words and the emphatic resonance created by an electric guitar... This tune does strange things to me.
Rest in peace Neal Casal
Stumbled across this amazing gem....I think I need a cigarette. Wish I saw him back in the day.
That was an awesome show and my first time. Infamous Stringusters, Nicki Bluhm and hilarious banter!
perfect!!
Agreed, watched them perform in 2007. Best gig I've ever seen.
Space wolf! Would've been great to have seen them together!
What a dirty moody groove❤
damn....now i'm all fucked up ryan again....this is just killer
Aaaaamazing!
they're incredible live, sadly you won't get to experience that for at least a little bit but when they get back at it, DO NOT MISS THEM!
f'n Dope. This song makes his red boots that much red'ier and bootier. much excite!
Hot damn, this is freakin' awesome. The sound quality of this video is unfortunate, but the performance makes up for it. Thanks for posting.
It's hard to watch these Cardinals videos now with 2 members having passed away
Thanks for this...
I wish that the Henry Rollins intro was edited out of this clip! The song is astonishing and expansive.
you want Henry Rollins edited out of an intro for DRA?

Crazy good.
Sorry brettlamie - It's on the JCN bonus disc, along with "Always On My Mind", and several others.
It says a lot about somebody when they know how to make their guitar sound as good as they know how to play it. Lots of people have great taste but having enough sense to realize you have great taste makes you quite a force in terms of artistry.
His Greatest moment

YES!
spacewolf...it don't matter no more baby
RIP
I don't know what he was on, but it worked for him. This was an incredibly inspired performance, freakin' amazing...
It's actually a Gibson ES-355. They've got a slightly larger body than the 335. It's actually the same model Chuck Berry used for years.
my only problem with this song is you can't find it on itunes, cd, album, or anything where you can buy this amazing song .. if anyone knows please comment
i aint gonna beg for your mercy...................
henry rollins is a god
Faaaaaaaa how was 2008 almost ten years ago....

Holy shit.
It's an ES-355 - most likely '70-'71.
+JB Flats ES345 Stereo
+GreenPaint No. It's an early 70s 355 Walnut. 345 has split parallelogram inlays, and no split diamond headstock inlay
"Everyone's standing and jumping rocking their souls out and I'm just sitting here guitarsteelbating"
RIP spacewolf
@brettlamie no i am afraid you are wrong, what sin replaces love was in fact on jcn it was one of 5 bonus tracks on some limited edition releases.
Jacksonville City Nights
