I love when you give us a sneak peek of your massive film collection. It’s always great seeing what other film fans have on their shelves. In October, I’ll probably be watching a lot of classic horror (no surprise there, haha!). I was hoping that Criterion Channel would have done another pre-Code horror line-up, but it doesn’t look like it this year.

@@VanessaButtino Thanks. I honestly love standing at my shelves each day. I feel like I’m at a video store. I’m looking forward to watching more classic horror this year too. Each year, I seem to be drawn to older films more than anything else.

Pretty cool stuff Dave. I'm hoping to watch a lot more horror this year.

Thanks. Are you planning to watch older horror movies or a variety of new and old? Just curious.

@@CinemaDaveMedia I think probably a mix, but mainly older. I did just watch Dr. Terror's House of Horrors and I picked up Sweeney Todd 4k a few weeks ago. What will you and Jessi be watching?

@@michaelthemovieattic We are watching many older films this year (Universal horror, Boris Karloff films, Stephen King adaptations). Plus still enjoying Horror's Greatest series on AMC+. We will definitely be sharing more of what we are watching in livestreams and weekly vlogs in October.

Really enjoyed your video and have put some on my wishlist. Do you try and do the 31 days of Horror or is it not for you? I watch as many as i can but always fall short.

@@bushmanblu426 Thanks very much. I’d love to try 31 days of horror but I seem to watch so many different films and TV shows that it might be tough for me. I’m watching lots of older horror films this year (Universal horror, Hammer, Stephen King adaptations) so 31 days of horror might work.

In October, all the movies I watch (which will probably be 40-50) will be horror, monster, or horror comedy except if there's an anniversary I want to acknowledge or the one-Roger-Corman-movie-a-week series I'm following picks non horror. We decorate a little and we hand out candy, but the main way I celebrate Halloween is spooky movies.

I think the oddest thing about your Horror movie library is that you own "Exorcist II: The Heretic" but none of the other movies in that series.. I'm not knocking "Exorcist II" in fact I love John Boornan's trippy and dreamy visual aesthetic as well as the dreamlike Ennio Morricone score.. Not to mention, Linda Blair has never looked so beautiful as she did in "The Heretic.." no longer a kid, but still with the straight 70s hair she had before the 80s came around and turned her hair into a loaf of bread.. . I just found it strange that you don't have the original "Exorcist.." It's a true masterpiece... I was also surprised that you don't have the original "My Bloody Valentine," one of the best and most atmospheric of the early 80s slashers.. I remember what a huge deal it was when they finally released the film with all the gore scenes restored.. Horror fans waited 30 years to see that one! Lastly, might I recommend my personal favorite American "giallo" from 1976, "Alice, Sweet Alice...." I believe no horror movie collection is complete without that seminal horror flick..
