Ridge Racer 2 - Diablo Canyon Road in

Sub 2:56. At first I thought it would have been a sub by a hundreth but 2 tenths...I'm still impressed. I don't know if lowering the gear right before the jump to jump less actually helps but whenever I was using it, it felt like I was being fast more consistently. While it seems the bump on lap 1 makes me lose speed and time in actuality it makes me go faster as I don't have the need to brake plus the crinale most likely will not touch the grass.
I don't know how much this time can be lowered. Bumping is faster than braking that's a fact but it is also possible to do it both bumpless and brakeless which is even faster...only problem is that it requires an insane precision.

Hello Klein, how do you do the dreaded corner at 0:49 using D-pad?
I can only play on keyboard and it's impossible to turn the car like that.

The key point is to not angle too much the car throughout the entire corner plus the Crinale Kid is the only Kid car that can pull it off. For starters, the right arrow is constantly held and the entry point of the corner must be as close as possible to the wall and while not drifting, otherwise you're gonna hit the grass in the end. For the first half of it I used the nitro to prevent the Crinale from not angling while for the second half (starting when the corner becomes really sharp and the car trembles a bit) I brake a bit without releasing the accelerator (in the case of lap 1 I hit the wall making me lose the amount of speed I needed so no need to brake) and continue holding the right arrow until the car is angled just a little bit but not too much or else the back of the car crashes on the tunnel wall. If everything is done correctly it's possible to exit the corner at 380. 370 or lower as exit speed is more safe. If you have more questions let me know, hope I helped!

@@LeosKlein I instantly switched from Angelus to Crinale and did the corner at the 1st try, thanks for answering!
Doing this corner with keyboard is difficult though.
