I loved the way this was written. A narrative with humour! And the line along lines of "I make jokes when I'm nervous or upset".... yeah I felt that

This was the first story in a while that has really scared me. Couldnt wait for it to be over but also couldnt stop listening. Great one.

I've been listening to creepypastas from this channel and the other great narrators for years - accumulating a collection of over 5,000 creepypasta videos (2012-present) saved to playlists... this was easily one of the scariest stories I've heard in a long time. I think it does so well because it touches on many primal fears like:
1. Fear of the uncanny (the dopplegangers that are off)
2. Fear of loved ones being murdered
3. Fear of loved ones cheating
4. Fear of social ostracization/isolation by loved ones and the helplessness that comes with that
5. Fear of gruesome violence and agony
6. Fear of insects
7. Fear of abandoned houses
8. Fear of the unclean and grotesque
A truly great story akin to the creepypastas of old!

Man…. This one was built different…… wow is all I can say. 10/10. I was laughing so hard at the ending I was kinda working and not 100% focused so when she was like “it was my husbands doppelgänger” I was like duh….. like I knew that the moment he showed up….. but then when it was like “he was repeating my husbands last words” I was like wow I’m an idiot for not realizing. 😂 this one was amazing! Please more from this writer! I literally dropped my jaw like 3 times because I was totally captured by every detail of this story. I literally watched this movie play out in my head perfectly clear. There was no scene of this story where I didn’t watch it like a movie…. Perfect.

As excellent a story as that was, and I really enjoyed it, for the protagonist to take that long to realize that her husband had been toast for awhile is a bit well, stupid. Of course he was. And that creature which I’ve heard similar tales of does it just for fun. Because when you can, why not?

The husband wasn't dead for a long time. The "doppelganger" didn't have access to the husband so it went after the wife. It copied the wife in their encounters. The husband was replaced around the same time the wife was supposed to be. The husband called out "Get out of my room", which isn't something you yell at someone in your house. It makes more sense if he yelled it in a hotel room he was staying at after finding those photos. It showed up at the hospital as a farewell and to gloat. Key evidence is that the wife knew her husband's schedule was too tight for her to comprehend when he'd have time for an affair. That would mean if time was taken out of his schedule to be copied and replaced, then it would be noticed by her if not more people. The plan that unfolded divided the two up to permit near simultaneous replacement.

Was she only alive because the neighbor got there before her doppelgänger was able to kill her? Were the two doppelgängers in it together? So now she will never be safe as her doppelgänger will be hunting for her?
Wish someone would shed some light too. Were there two doppelgangers playing some sort of game. Had she somehow killed her husband and couldn't face what she did. Did see see him get killed and the rest was her mind breaking up, especially when no one else in the hospital room noticed him?

One thing that niggles me in my dreams is always searching for my first beloved car, then when I find it, I can’t find the keys, or I can’t actually drive it if i do!!! 🫤
There’s a mystery guy who is so lovely and tries to hook up, but I’m aware that in my real life I’m married and can’t be unfaithful, even though I’m curious, I’ve never given in! We kissed once, just a lip peck and I felt exhilarated and even after I woke up, I kept thinking about it and had a great day! 🤭

The photos and note she got were still in her car. She never brought it up to her husband, so when he got the same things she shouldn’t have called. Just texted pics of the photos and note she got. Communication would’ve opened up immediately.

I love this. At first, i thought it was a cereal killer husband. She could of been looking at previous wife photo. But eventually i realized it was a entity trying to get a victim. The moment the lady had bloodlust. That was the give away. I figured they pulled in husband. But i didn't know she use the same tactic.
