    Are you using a 'Torchwood' Weevil figure as the base of your Tetrapyriabian custom? The 'Blowfish' from this range, (when everyone wanted Owen) has a nice suited body that definitely needs to be used for something better.
    Milliput is fantastic stuff, it's uses limited only by imagination. I use an old bit of spring steel, from an old Dinky car to cut milliput with, as it bonds ferociously with knife blades if you forget and leave it unwashed.
    I love how precisely the CO Zygons were sculpted - too precisely, in fact. The silver thing in the top sucker on the chest, was actually the microphone that the actor playing Broton, John Woodnutt, spoke his lines into on set. It's a nice touch.

      It is indeed a weevil as the base figure of the tetrap! Hope to finish him soon. Will use a weevil for a Primord soon as well.

      @@who-time - The Weevil's pose is perfect for a Primord (oddly never called such in the story). Are you making any particular one, eg., Stahlman/Stahlmann, or Slocum?

    • @who-time
      @who-time  3 года назад +1

      @brianartillery plan to do Stahlmann once he’s fully transformed into a Primord 👌🏻

    Awesome sauce! Does this air dry or can u bake it? Also does anyone know what kind of paint to use?? (Been making figures since I was 13 polymer guy) anything helps thanx

      Air dries within an hour. Fully cures in 24 hrs. Takes all paints I believe. I use Warhammer/Citadel ones personally.

    This is amazing - I didn't know you could 'sculpt' with Milliput like that. What sort of texture does it have when it dries? Also, you mentioned Nathan Moore designs in relation to custom headsculpt....would you have a link to his website at all?

      It dries very solid. You can make it smooth if you sand it down. It’s such a great material. NDW Design has many ways to contact him & his partner Helleno:

    how durable is this?, does it stays and doesn´t fall of the figure?, i´m used to work with air drying clay and the various others, but this is new for me

    • @who-time
      @who-time  Месяц назад

      I have loads of figures customised with Milliput; it’s not going to fall off. It’s an epoxy resin that’s very durable once fully cured after 24hrs but you can still sand & chip at it, if you need to afterwards.

    I'm trying to make a helmet for a custom. The base is the head from darkhawk but the silver plastic piece is gone. I'm not having any luck finding good detailed tutorials

      Not sure how to help you here. It’s unclear what you’re trying to achieve & what you need advice on. The video is a basic tutorial on how to use Milliput for sculpting.

    What if I need to sculpt onto a figure, but I need the milliput piece to be removable and not bond to the plastic figure?

    • @who-time
      @who-time  Год назад

      Hmmm to be honest I’ve never tried that, so it may be worth googling it. I’d try putting cling film or foil between the figure & Milliput (so you can lift the piece off at the end) and/or using a little bit of cooking oil on the figure, so the Milliput doesn’t stick onto the plastic.

    Quick tip, if you hit it with a heat gun for a while you can decrease the cure time to around 30 minutes. At least cured enough to handle without worrying too much.

    • @who-time
      @who-time  2 года назад

      Ah cool 😎 I do have one knocking about. it doesn’t melt it?

    • @justintime5021
      @justintime5021 2 года назад

      @@who-time if you get too aggressive it can start to get bubbles on the surface. Recommend low heat from 8 inches away while moving back and forth. Worst case if you get a bubble you can still smooth it out. I had to get the heat gun really close to get it too hot. Once it's really good and hot you can let it sit for 15-20 mins and it's usually pretty cured. If you are using a lot of water when you work with the Miliput this may not work for you. But it's worth a try

      Up to you if you want to ignore useful advice on customs. Only just got a separate mic this year; this vid is from a few years back when I relied on my iPhone’s mic, hence less good audio.
