    Hello thanks for the video.
    Two questions:
    1. Is the washer same as that one on oil drain plug? How much torque is specified?
    2. Does this apply to sedan 1.5 T MT model? Though I believe they should be similar

    • @modfydgarage2312
      @modfydgarage2312  4 года назад +2

      I havent replaced the washer yet so im unsure if it's the same. I have to do my flush again since im at 56k miles already. But im sure they're probably the same. And unfortunately im unsure of torque specs.
      The Si is a 1.5t so the base model civics should be similar transmission type. However, i believe the fluid type may be different. Double check your owner's manual.

      Modfyd GARAGE thanks. I did more research and would like you to add these info to your description so that more people can be informed!
      1. The fill/drain bolts are both 3/8’’. Fill bolt needs >13” extension to be reached and there’s no need to dissemble air box.
      2. The drain bolt has a washer that should be replaced every time. It is special 20mm size NOT as the one in the oil pan! Torque is 32 lb ft. I didn’t find a reliable supplier from Amazon, so better buy one from local dealership ($3.15 here).
      3. For average owners, Honda MTF is the top1 choice since it’s genuine.

    It's fine to use an impact to loosen (in my opinion it's the best option), but for heaven's sake buy a torque wrench for tightening them back up!
    In a pinch you can use the factory markings or make your own marks so that you can tighten to the same point. While this is a good substitute, torque wrenches aren't that expensive.

      The 2 quarts works perfectly. Wasn't really necessary to check it. I did a check the first time around with a previous vehicle.

      Where exactly is the overfill plug?

    • @modfydgarage2312
      @modfydgarage2312  3 года назад

      @@thatcryptoguy7313 excellent question. On the side of the transmission there is a plug similar to the drain plug that tells the case the limit the oil should be filled to. Now, with that in mind, if the car is NOT level, you can actually overfill it due to the slosh effect if you rely on the plug.
