the problem with choosing billie is it’s meant to be one of those deeper songs with meaning behind the actual lyrics. these artists didn’t really connect with the lyrics. they’re trying too hard on certain notes. and there’s multiple times where they’re singing really high on notes that are meant to be deeper. yes, it’s not supposed to sound like billie, but they have to put their own twist on it that doesn’t change the song itself. it sounds as if these people are just singing, not connecting. and music is all about connecting with the lyrics

angel zenith most of her songs are not really that vocally demanding;they focus more on making her “pretty voice” style(a lot of runs and high notes,don’t really know how to describe it lol) and deep lyrics stand out. I even once saw a vocal coach say that her songs are good practice for begginers. No shade tho,it’s just a style and I’ve been a fan of her for years

A lot of Bad Guy is spoken so it sounds strange when it’s covered. For what’s its worth she’s a great singer and did the best she could do with the track.
Personally I think it wasn’t much of a battle when the girl was singing high notes the guy was coming back with average notes and making a face making it look like it was a high note where as the girl was actually singing high notes and the girls tone was way better in my opinion I just think the girls tone sounded nicer and more pleasing to the ear
