About Royal Blood
Brighton duo Royal Blood comprising drummer Ben Thatcher and bassist/vocalist Mike Kerr formed at the beginning of 2013. They quickly made their presence known, with pounding drums and heavily distorted bass guitar defining characteristics of their ferocious blues-rock sound. The band gained many plaudits early in their career, touring with the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Iggy Pop and Foo Fighters, before going on to win Best British Group at the Brits in 2015 receiving their trophy from their musical hero and admirer Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page.
Their catalogue boasts the Mercury Prize nominated self-titled debut album released in 2014 that spawned hits such as "Out of the Black, "Little Monster:, "Come On Over" and "Figure it Out", as well as their second successive UK number one album "How Did We Get So Dark?" released in 2017 which featured "Lights Out" and "I Only Lie When I Love You".

@Octavio Baldovino in one of their posts it showed Mike sitting playing his bass and you can see a couple pedals
I mean as Mike said in the Fender interview it's a lot of fuzz and octave pedals. Maybe a harmonizer and the amps on a A/B setup
I wouldn't be surprised if Mike connected some fake pedals just to mislead us
@@SuperHugocoelho he does use a boss harmonists, but he uses it in S bend mode so it's just a dive bomb pedal like at the end of this video
@@SuperHugocoelho , He runs the bass through a traditional guitar amp (or two).... unless he lied about that.
I don’t know why he’s so secretive about his set up.
Edit to add: iirc, he said that sends the signal through the pog, splits it, and plugs it into two guitar amps, one bass amp... and uses “the 2 highest strings on a guitar,” while admitting he doesn’t know the gauge of those strings. As if they never break , or is he dicking with people?
Their songwriting should be enough for his ego.

There are very few great bands like Royal Blood who still do Rock well, I don't want to loose them.

Brian May's guitar tech said it best: "Brian May could play anything and it'd sound like him." Your sound should be tied more to your hands than anything else with the sounds attached to guitars and basses

Nothing too different or special about this. The singer is generic, monotone, and just plain boring. You want to hear a cover of this song done right listen the The Hu’s version. Not on the Metallica Blacklist album, released before it.
They should have left this song alone. Sounds like the Backstreet Boys covering it. This is a heavy song. Leave it alone.
Yeah, you werent expecting to do a Kirk solo on a bass. A riff, fine, not a solo. We have guitars for that.
