Mom of Missing Teen Is Determined to Find Her

- Sarah Merrill fears her 14-year-old daughter, Ella Jones, left home to meet a man she met online. No one has heard from Ella since the Washington state teen vanished on Jan. 5. "I know something's really wrong," she tells Inside Edition Digital. It has been over 20 days since Ella's family has had any communication with her. Her disappearance has left her loved ones terrified of what could have happened and spurred them to take to social media to appeal to the masses to help search for the teen.
In other interviews her mom says she had previously punished her daughter by temporarily taking her phone away after she spoke with a stranger, and that she had been speaking with a man in his late 20s or early 30s on Discord. This is a Mom who tried to keep her on the right track, I just hope she comes home safe.
Before letting her daughter onto social media, the mother should've talked to her daughter about online dangers? Did she do that is the question

My mom use to talk about online dangers. I still went behind her back and met up with older men. I know now that I risked my life doing that. She really tried to stop me but I didn't listen..

Any man that is willing to go above and beyond to groom a child and then actually go and take them away is someone who will do whatever to not get caught or be separated from the girl , this is a very serious and dangerous situation that I pray ends with her home

When I was 14 I had no Phone No internet no TV just an AM/FM transmitter and a weekend movie at Grandpa's home. Those days were fun and most of all 'VERY SAFE'

Teens don't run away because their online activity isn't monitored. When it gets to that point it is probably already a very dysfunctional or unstable situation at home.

😮 14! Kids want to grow up fast without realising what that entails. I always told my recently turned 18 sister to enjoy her teens, be goofy, be a child! Growing up eventually comes for us all, you'll have enough of being an adult from 18 till your 80's,90's and even 100's, but you can only be a kid for for those 18 years and it's gone forever! Chrish it, embrace it! Dont waste it on wanting to 'grow up' sooner than you need to. Sounds like her child was problematic, went with an adult and she'll regret that decision dearly for the rest of her life. Her mother sounds like she tried to save her daughter from her poor decisions, she did enough at some point you realise some kids can't be saved.
You're quite free in making assumptions. You don't know that she'll "dearly" regret leaving her mom; she may later recognize it as the best decision she ever made, or she may see it as a bold move she made to find happiness, regardless of how it turns out. It's not for you to judge.
@@scottsent8120 I never said she'll regret leaving her mom, I said she'd regret running off with an adult man! This isn't an assumption, it's a FACT! There is no good that comes from a 30 year old man who likes talking to kids instead of women his own age! Also, she didn't just leave her mom, she left her family, friends and school! Her peers will continue on with their lives, grow up and get into college, pursue their goals and be young adults whereas she's stuck in some basement with a creepy 30 year old. She's completely derailed her life! She will regret it.

She was found Alive! Thank God! She was found in South Haven, Michigan in the home of a convicted sex offender who had been grooming her for a year. Sadly, she was there for 3 weeks, so one can only assume the horrible things she went through. Prayers for her & her family. 🙏🙏🙏

He might have been using a burner phone. Those you can't trace back to someone. They probably went to a different state as well.
Burner phones. Those track phones people buy at dollar general cannot be tracked. Probably what they used.

If she is alive she may be blending into a community because she looks older than 14. She and the man may just appear as a normal couple. When she gets tired of playing house, that is if she is not held captive, she will sneak away and contact the law.

This case reminds me of the Alicia Navarro case here in Arizona. She went missing when she 14 in 2019. Four years later she walked into a Montana police station and asked to be taken off the juvenile missing list. So she was still alive. Do not know the full details but I think she was lured by an adult male to leave home. Hopefully Ella will be found sooner than that.🙏🙏🙏

Even if the person she is with was a "good" person aka not a muderer, they soon realise that if they let the person go, they go to jail so they end up killing them anyway

I just watched an old lifetime film called “the guy she met online.” The mother really tried to protect her daughter, but she had a hold on this guy for some reason. Long story short, the guy she met online lied that he was a hs student, turned out to be an ex con. I hope Ella can find her way back home. 🌼

Her friends knew and told her mom when she cameto each friends house looking for her even the males in the friends group warned her they all told the mom that they got creepy vibes from him and he has been talking to other girls some Ella's age and some younger he is on the prowl looking for female children I get the vibes he has a rink going on and he is recruiting online which is why she hasn't been found and seen because he may have took her to his head quarters if you get the drift of what I am saying keeping it RUclips friendly and they probably moved her to a whole other state changed her Identity looks etc the other girl that was missing 4 years and just appeared out of the blue gives me those vibes as well and may have been threatened if she speaks her family will pay for it
