I bought this drone in January and also purchased a spare battery. The drone performed very well, even in wind. Quality video is a challenge with any wind at all with no gimbal(s) or EIS software. I only flew it a few times because it has been cold (winter). On 1 or 2 occasions, I lost sight of the drone and the RTH function worked perfectly. It also returned nicely when the battery got low. On 4/04/21 I was flying it and at @300 m it lost connection. IT did not return home, and I lost sight of it in the bright sunshine. I was unable to find it. I will likely replace it because I was very happy with it for the price. There is now a SG108 Max with a two axis gimbal and EIS software!!! Happy flying!
ZLRC is making some great drones. This little guy is on their cheap end and yet is still decent. My first quad was a sg907 and it was actually pretty great. The sg907 pro is even better with a gimbal. And their 906 series is pretty awesome at less than half the orice of a first-gen Mavic mini with WAY more features. I have a mini and it is a quality product. But lacking circle me or other functions just seems weird when cheap drones can do it. My next drone WON'T be another Mavic.
Overall I like the drone for the price and it takes decent pictures but to be frank; the video quality sucks. In this price range we can't expect too much though. I think the reason the video isn't very good is because it has to transmit to the phone. No onboard DVR. Maybe the next version will have it.
@@SW-Video Just got one of these today and the video feed is unwatchable. No matter the distance between drone and phone, it's so pixelated to be unwatchable. On top of that more recordings failed than succeeded. Based on your videos I assume I have a faulty unit but I couldn't recommend this drone.
@@guspreston1894 Yeah, for the price, it's okay to practice with using line of sight and maybe, if the phone is good enough to handle it, some FPV practice. There are better drones but then the price goes way up. i also have a SJRC F11 4k Pro. It takes very good video and pictures but it's also more complicated to get ready to fly compared to my Mini 2. The Mini 2 isn't perfect either though. I'm having trouble with it too with things like the app crashing and the gimbal getting stuck. I hope one day there's a rugged and reliable drone at a price the average hobbyist can afford.

Great video 👍. It's either your phone or the remote causing the drone status to not show up. I don't recommend flying it long range with that issue because I almost lost mine flying around without the GPS on.

Any suggestion for prop guards for this little fella? I have a DJI mini 2 as well, but got the SG108 for my kid to trash. Dimensions of the arms are very similar, but the DJI's motors are angled, whereas the SG108 is straight, so the guards for the DJI will not fit :-(. Flies (almost) as good, video is of course not in the same league, but a great cheap drone for beginners...
seems like video is jerky because ur phone write speed is struggling.. maybe from recording from 2 apps at same time.. id recommend closing all other apps and have a 4k capable micro sd in ya phone to save to

Yes, I reviewed the SG906 Beast and it didn't have a dvr either. They should have taken a lesson from that drone. Good drones but no dvr, EIS or gimbal and phone app needs a bit of fine tuning. But at least these are cheap for beginners to practice.

Yes, unfortunately these toy grade fixed camera drones have that problem but some of them are coming with EIS and gimbals and better cameras. Thanks for watching. I'll have one of those with EIS and a gimbal drone coming soon. Hope that one rocks and surprise us with better videos :)
I had the same issue. It wouldn't connect to my Xiaomi phone but it does connect to my other two phones. You need to find a phone it works with. It doesn't make a difference if it's 32 or 64 bit architecture.
This is the older version without 2-axis gimbal and that is under 250 gram. It's a nice fun to fly drone with really reliable GPS. Video and range not that good. But frankly I would get the SG108 Pro. First because of the 2-axis gimbal. And also because it has an SD-card slot. Con: The Pro version is a little bit slower. I doubt you will get in trouble for it being 25 grams heavier. Especially if it still has that funny 249 gram print on it.
I believe that ZLRC has implemented the EIS technology to their SG906 Pro, SG 906 Pro 2 and the new SG907 Pro 2 series. If I’m not mistaken. It is a shame that they didn’t add it to this drone.

I obviously asked for their support but they only offer to me to send it back for an exchange or a refund. Don't you know if there's something I could try to force pairing? It is surprising to me that it does save videos in 1080p. The 5G wifi does help with resolution but why not include a cheap dvr? It was the same with the popular SG906 Beast. No DVR. It does take good videos for a no EIS and gimbal drone though. Thanks :)

Just completed maiden flight with this drone . No issue connecting to drone wifi with iPhone. With Android, I get "connected, no internet access"? I just got the Android phone so I'm not totally familiar with it yet. How do I get "connected"to the wifi?
I just got mine and I'm having the same problem is connected but it says no internet and I have an Android. Also when I pulled it out of the box last night and opened the right handle it's got one red light blinking and beeping all night long and still beeping
@@ricky1330 The right handle turns on the power to remote. Fold it back up when not in use. I have found that when I first connect the drone to the wifi, it works if I click on the settings for that network and choose "forget". Then I connect again and when it says tap for options, I check the box and select yes to stay connected. Hope this helps.
@@mwlulud2995 Well bro. Nobody knows. Because the controller does not have telemetry. And if the phone loses connection it won't have the data either. Again, why fly further if you can't take video? What's the point? Maybe it will go 500 metres? Who cares? It also depends on a lot of things. One time is will fly 600 metres. And if the signal is obstructed then it will be only 300 metres. Besides, why would you want this drone if distance is important? Buy a DJI Mini 2. It will go 10km.

@@kohensitorus6599 Hmm. Lets see if I can be of any help. 1. Don't wait to long to connect to the phone after turning on the drone. But it can take a while for the phone to detect the WiFi. iPhones, especially new models, often have silly security settings. See what permissions the app has. 2. Delete (forget) any saved network to the drone. 3. Try the ZLL RC app. 4. Every drone has a reset for WiFi and factory settings either by remote or a button on the board. Question is how to reset the SG108? I had drone and the way to reset it was by holding the photo button on the remote while switching it on. Then switch on the drone. But I really don't know if there is a key combination for the SG108? 5. Yes the WiFi board could be broken of course. In that case, nuke China!
This one does not have EIS. The B20 is pretty big and it does have EIS so if steady video is your preference over compactness and weight, then B20 but if compactness and under 250 grams is your preference then this one :)

It is 5g wifi so the limit is probably 300 meters depending on your phone. The camera does not have EIS or gimbal so there is no stabilization.

Do you know how to bind the remote to the drone? I have one, but no response from remote. If I control from app in handphone drone response is well.
I believe that you have to hold up on the left joystick to disarm the motors-which is weird because its the throttle stick.

the pro is 275grams, but what is differwnce with 2200 battery.
Difference between the 2200mah (SG108) and 3000mah (SG108 Pro) is only 4 grams or so.

It should auto bind. Turn on drone, turn on remote. It should be simple as that.

1. Don't wait to long to connect to the phone after turning on the drone. But it can take a while for the phone to detect the WiFi. iPhones, especially new models, often have silly security settings. See what permissions the app has.
2. Delete (forget) any saved network to the drone.
3. Try the ZLL RC app.
4. Every drone has a reset for WiFi and factory settings either by remote or a button on the board. Question is how to reset the SG108? I had drone and the way to reset it was by holding the photo button on the remote while switching it on. Then switch on the drone. But I really don't know if there is a key combination for the SG108?
5. Yes the WiFi board could be broken of course. In that case, nuke China!

This one does not have EIS. The B20 is pretty big and it does have EIS so if steady video is your preference over compactness and weight, then B20 but if compactness and under 250 grams is your preference then this one :)

@@RCEscape See my above comments on that bug... These drones are using the same applis (HFun Pro or similar) and drone software is not tested on each drone, so that causes receiving DOA units... S**t!
