Nice capture. The Class 745/0 & /1s are now in service on the London Liverpool St-Norwich route as they have replaced the Class 90 Mk3+DVTs and Class 745/1s are in service on the Stansted Express that has replaced the Class 379 Electrostars.
Thanks! I've seen a few of these in service on the Great Eastern Main Line, but not on the Stanstead Express service yet. This was filmed back when they were slowly being introduced, as you can see one already in passenger service in this video 👍
That’s a nice looking train. I’ve only been to Norwich once so travelled on the intercity service with Greater Anglia and that was nice. Will definitely have to check the new trains when they become available
The new trains are already available and running Liverpool Street to Norwich passenger services, and one can be seen in this video. The main unit this video focuses on was still being tested, which goes to show they're still gradually phasing them onto the network.
I live in Stowmarket and those alarms are very loud. All I here at night is the crossing going off all the time even though I live still quite a bit far away. Regent street is also quite loud too.
I definitely see what you mean - both level crossings' alarms are certainly quite loud, especially Regent Street's. I can also hear nearby level crossing alarms when it's quieter where I am based, even though I live a fair distance from my closest LC.
You're welcome, and thanks for the nice comment! 😎 I have scheduled a video of Regent Street to be uploaded within the start of next week too, so there's more to come
@@SouthEastLevelCrossings nice one mate! I have photos of when I was about 5 or 6 when Stowmarket Level Crossing by station had single long arm crossing gates and also the very first day when it was upgraded to two arms and the then new Halogen lights. Those barriers are about 24 years old now! :)
You finally got here! I love this crossing and have many videos of it to release. I saw one of those trains in testing at Waterbeach. Great video UKLC&TC👍 🚦 😊
Thanks, BC&T! 👌🏻😎 It does kinda feel good getting to new locations, and I did quite like this crossing - the fast alarm sound and the tired barriers are a good touch, but this wasn't my favourite I filmed on this day, even though I got a total of 5 closures here, 2 in this video, and 3 more individual closure videos to release for me 😎. I like the 745s in some ways, but the only thing I am not really okay with is the fact that they are replacing the 82s & 90s 😤
Thank you! I do miss the loco-hauled previous slam door trains (funnily enough that same day I filmed my first 745 was the last time I ever saw its predecessors. I do prefer the 745s to the 755s however.
I love the 755 Class trains. I have seen theses trains at Barway Sidings LC and the design is great.
The 745s are very similar of course. Both's designs are fairly interesting and neat IMO 👍
@@SouthEastLevelCrossings All the new trains look amazing unlike Green and Blue trains.

Same
Great video! 😃 I like these types of fast and paced yodalarm!
Thanks! 😀
The fast alarms here are a nice touch - I must agree 😎
I live just out of Stow and since the coronavirus lockdown haven't been to these for a few weeks. I've missed these a lot thanks for posting! :)

Yeah you gotta replace them at some point, they will still be missed though 😬😶
Also, i’m reaaaally late to saying this, but, did you notice the lights reset when the barriers came down on the second closure? Strange 🧐
Hmm yeah. I've only just noticed that, even though I've watched through this quite a few times now!
Excellent video
Thank you 👍🏻
Great video
Thank you! 👌🏻
And now practically all of the trains are those ones. 😒 Nice video anyway!
