🤣 You killed me with that Vanilla Ice line 🤣
So much awesomeness in one video
TJ best wrangler
Great message on adopt a trail.👍
Good call out!
Local trails at Big Bear. You need to come do them in the rainy season. Adds new level of difficulty. Hope you had fun? You should come back for the IE4W Forest Fest 23 over Fathers day weekend 2020. Great event. OllllllO
Another great trail and video
Great video thank you!
Love seeing 2 door XJs
I wonder how many people with the Rubicon JK and auto don't know the trans puts you in second gear when in low range. For first gear you have to bump the shifter left for 1st in manual mode. The JL may be the same way?
I like your show keep it up you guys are awesome hopefully I get to see you guys before I die
She does an awesome job spotting!!!
when we did it early this season they had not yet done any trail maintenance, jenn and i spent a couple hours on the one section just above the creek. the volunteers have since spent much more time and effort reinforcing that bank, which will please Jenn greatly. Also when we did it there was a huge debris flow to traverse that i didn't notice on your vid. that was both cool and super sketchy. Just so you know, running that trail backwards is what we consider the easy way, surprised you didnt hit much oncoming traffic. about 7 or 8 years ago holcomb was closed because of fire, it used to be in a canopy of trees. great video you two, its really nice to see our home trails.
Another great vid, and if I may be so bold as to quote Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin) "squeeze me like a lemon until the juice runs down my leg". Cheers from UK 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Cheers from Parker CO
I hope you appreciate how good a spotter she is
I like the hat Kevin is wearing. JKLand is right down the road from me. Just went in there Friday Awesome people and shop.
Good gracious Kevin the positions you put your rubbers in!!! (That’s what she said!) or tires whatever you call em’!! Go milestat
That bug was a Mormon Cricket! Quite a lot of them up here in Northern Nevada.
You can tell because you can see their little white shirt, narrow tie and name tag....
lol. Actually i was going to guess shieldback catydid, but I'm no expert. Brittany's a good spotter alright.
You need to add a kick ass horn....
My friend Desi is with you
Kev has really been testing the sidewalls on those 40s. Looks like they are holding up great. Are they E load rated?
Awesomeness....love the longer videos...Jelly came out 🐶😁......great spotting Brittany 👍....Kevin great driving 😁(stop collaborate and listen/ great song)....great time with great people... you 2 area awesome.... egarly waiting for the next video...Safe travels
KILLER video!! I'll look back at these one day. .. 🏞4x4.. 💯🍻
I'm gonna go back and re watch all your old vids. Will continue to like and comment to help support child's play and the racing.
35” to 40” is only gaining you 2 1/2” of ground clearance. They also add about 20-30 lbs of unsprung weight to each corner.
Go ahead and plan on purchasing new gears and axle shafts while you are at it.
Unless it is just a dedicated “trail toy”, I wouldn’t recommend going bigger than a 37 on a JK, or 35 on a TJ.
I have to commend her on her spotting skills. 👍 She can spot for me any day.
Holcomb Creek! My favorite trail in Big Bear! Awesome run!
The step childs flex is ridiculous and good job spotting Brit
Gah! I SO wish I could have pulled off taking two days off. Looks like you all had a great second day. I can totally understand why Brittany was getting her directions crossed; it was 12:30 in the morning when everyone touched pavement on day 1. You’re all lucky she was able to see straight for day 2! Great footage, great editing, great spotting, and great driving; all as usual. You two rock!
I know right!? I had to be home for dinner and couldn't be there on day 2 😄 looked like a blast
What were these sticky tires Brittany was talking about with that guy? Ooo and Alexa warning ⚠ really awesome :)
TV1Peter Milestar Patagonia black label
@@boughtnotbuiltoffroad7784 thank you.
Prepare to kiss your bleep goodbye. And the best part is my Alexa responded to his Alexa. LMFAO.
Another great vid!
Nice!!
Glad to see XJ's can keep up with you guys!
.. Kev, you must be a Vanilla Ice fan
Brit is an awesome spotter, job well done Young Lady!!!!!
Milestar
Who was in 35s? The brownish rubicon?
Dylan Emma Olson yes
You got to make a cartoon Brittany T-shirt that says “There ya go!!” (TM that shit!)
I did this trail a while ago not knowing what I had gotten myself into. I had no skid plates or armor on my stock Tacoma with 33’s. Took me 12 hours to make it to the end
And no lockers haha
Andrew holy crap
33s the best off-road tire person man I see jeeps with 33s out wheel jeeps with 40s all the time
Wow Kev, you are getting 16-17 mpg out of your setup! I get the same with my ‘11 Jku 6.2 LS /6L80E on 37’s Rockjock 60/dyna pr44 setup with 4:10’s and loaded with the heaviest bumper setups I could apparently find lol. ..... driving like a blue-hair in a Snow storm that can barely reach the gas pedal lol. Your running gear is way heavier than me AND the hemi weighs more too! You got 80 horse on me taboot. Me thinks hemi swaps have finally made a SOLID stance in the jeep world again. Looks like cooling issues are gone as well.
Hey Brit what did you mean by those Patagonia’s being black letter? I didn’t know there was two different Patagonias
6.42 Blair Witch Project, now there's an idea! Britney take note, an idea for the Stepchild?
What are the black label Patagonia tires?
Simeon Afonin sticky tires
@@boughtnotbuiltoffroad7784 thanks!
Most Definitely Gotta Wheel With You Guys!
Do you guys have an event calender? I would like to know when you guys will be in the east coast in hopes I can wheel with you guys 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Desvio Off Road on our Facebook page and e3offroad.com
@@boughtnotbuiltoffroad7784 Copy That 🤙🏼
Some of those guys gotta air down more.
There's too much to comment on in this video. All of it good. But here goes:
- Jelly at the beginning...wind blowing through her hair
- Brit's t-shirt..."Modern Day Hammer". Love it, cause she's def a Mjolnir!
- That wired house at the end w/intruder alert system...freakin awesome!
Great stuff y'all. Keep it up.
Was that jeep with the American flag at 20:10 on 35's?
I did my first offroad classes with John at Jeep4x4school in Big Bear, he is awesome, he sat in my passenger seat and took me over the obstacles.
Team XJ!
Milestar Patagonia black label???please explain more
Colton Strange they are sticky tires
Love it!
Looks like you came in through the Fawnskin side. My Buddy in his jk got completely sideways stuck and so did I in my XJ on the gatekeeper. My other buddies in TJ’s walked right through. I haven’t done the trail in my TJ yet.i have pictures and videos of the rock gardens full of water in the 2000’s.
Lolololololololololololololol18:13... nuttn like a little vanilla ice while rock crawln...
You think I'll be able to keep up with 31's on my TJ?
Alex Little what trail?
Alex Little it’s amazing what a tj on 31’s will do
@@boughtnotbuiltoffroad7784 Whatever trails we can hit when you're visiting the east again! I'm super jealous of the Western scenery though.
What tire psi did you run on this trail?
I think we were at about 8psi
i always see people do left foot braking with autos but is this something that can be done in a manual when in low range. My go to is cross your fingers and toes and gun it and try to save it before it bogs down and dies.
Try it and see. 3 pedals 2 feet. Hard to do. Possible with better gear ratio?
JL's Jk possibly it’s only a Sahara but I plan on swapping in a rubicon t case and dynatrac 44s front and rear with whatever gears work with 37s
SpelWurdsRite yes but you have to have deep gearing
Kevin Williams Kevin ur a qt
finger throttle on the shifter gives you that 3rd foot
It is getting time to replace my Toyo Open Country MT’s. I had watched a TrailRecon video then I dismissed Milestar as an option. After watching your vids of John Bull and Holcomb, I've done both. I’m going with Milesstar. Did you air down to less than 10 psi? Toyo would never do that and keep a sidewall in tack.
Mark Koller I run 7-10 psi depending on the trail
Looked fun and it was nice to see an XJ in the mix. Nice flex!
Kevin @ 13:32 - you sound soo excited!! lol
I just ordered the Calmini 3" suspension lift for my first gen Xterra... After watching this, I'm thinking I need a SAS and a locker. Damn, that's some FLEEEEEXXX!!!
Wow! Those trails really give new meaning to "Rock & Roll"! Love the sound of the StepChild. That house at the end is what my son has been telling me he wants to do to his house...when he gets one! Another fun and educational video - lots to learn. Thanks
When are you going to put aggressive shark grill on you jeep.
Lotta jeep noises at 10:30 😂 the struggle was real
Is that a v8 in the Lite Brite? New to channel so...
GGFCHMMAL yes, it is a Hemi
@@sakostwwy1903 Thanks, sounds sweet.
Hi guys here Nico from spain. I follow your channel and love your videos, not only the contents but the approach and the way you make every minute of your lives enjoyable and positive.
Also I saw you guys at hyperdrive. Could there be a stronger couple on earth? Keep on enjoying and making us enjoy!
Dam that is absolutely awesome, so much flex
I know right. I wish my Jeep could flex like that
Would that rail be hard for a stock power wagon ??
Freddy C Luffy definitely
Probably a dumb question but, Kevin are you in 4H or 4L when rock crawling these trails???
rugerfj40 always 4L. do not try to rock crawl in hi
Hi guys thanks for such a great video Iam going to put tinted windows on my New JLU in a couple weeks 😁
Nice!! You spot well... :-)
Collaborate and listen....... was that a reference to vanilla ice? Lol 😂 cracked me up! And how much air pressure do you run?
Jerry Ramirez 8-9
Thats my kind of alarm system... NHRA infused
Tires do not have to aired down to climb rocks.
Brit spotter of the year.
What bumpers do you have?
Matt Wade Motobilt
Some people don't know how to drive with two feet, and it shows.
Finally an XJ! XJ FTW! That is all. MetalHead4x4 out.
MetalHead 4x4 Hahahaha the mighty xj
XJs are the best; good for the overland lifestyle too.
Midnight to 5:59 am is Night.
6 am to 11:59 is Morning
noon to 559 pm is afternoon.
6 pm to 1159 pm is evening.
Love the alarm system 🤣
That was a Saddle Brush Cricket !!! Awesome Job Guys makes me miss the Sierra Nevada's.
"Work smarter. Not harder." That's UPS safety motto. 🤣😅
It really is.
Video - Dope.
Kevin's driving - Dope
Britney's spotting - Super dope.
The alarm system - the dopest.
Awesome video!
75th! Home from work and a new video to watch - Thank You
Sick flex!!!
Totally digging the doorbell. I want that lol.
20.20 Please, more 2 doors?
Stepchild flexin
Damn when he threw the rock at Kevin looked like it was going to smash his foot 😅😂
What part of that Fiat is original?
24:14 XJs have magic wheelbase/clearance. if you guys ever had a trail beater id hope it was an xj
They really are the perfect length - not too long, not too short
Everything better in XJ!!
What does Brittney means about the black label patagonias?
Spencer Manson they have black labels which are “sticky” compound
I can't wait to be hitting the trails. Great video, so much fun. Good job you two.
Hi
Two door life that’s what Jeeps shine in. Good trail run looks fun.
24:30 Those boulders almost make the Jeeps look like RC cars lol
This happened to a friend on Rubicon!!! Drain plug
I wouldn't sleep on a damn trekkie's house; stay well guys.
Kev, don't aim for the big hole because you'll never touch the bottom was what she was trying to say 😘
So i'm not the only one that caught that.
Love the videos.
Have you put her on scales since all of the mods were done?
brentm3 not yet
