You know young detectives wanting to retire and live a normal life is an interesting concept, especially when we see how horrible the stress and danger of being a high school detective can lead (like i dont know almost killed by a criminal gang for snooping into the wrong place at the wrong time)
It's not interesting at all, most modern law enforcement wants to "live a normal life", only after they've ruined the lives of others through benefiting from their righteous crusade.
I know, I´ve been a first grade for 20 years already but no one believes me, detective work is truly a curse.

Yess this was my first thought! I love the eyes
It's really well animated and I like the atmosphere, but I still can't answer what it is about. I know a good trailer should not tell much about the story, just give you a promise of a worthwhile adventure, but what kind of promise did this trailer make? I don't even know what the strawberry tart mystery is meant to represent, it sounds more like an allegory and the detective journey may have another layer of meaning, but so far I was left only confused.
If you've watched Hyouka you can image what to expect
Hyouka really is similar. It’s hard to answer very basic questions about what it is because the most correct answers would be vague, if you’re someone who enjoys your anime to be structured and have clear goals and premises, it probably isn’t for you. I can think of few anime whose essence I have a more difficult time summarizing.
All of that to say that the trailer probably didn’t stand a chance to do what trailers are intended to do
@@mugiikari1641 I would say Hyouka is a slice of life mystery with character drama, but when I think about it, that really is a pretty vague description. Honestly, it isn't even a description, just a genre list. I think the "slice of life mystery" part is important though
The second episode spent most of its time to solve the "mistery" of how someone made Hot cocoa without getting anything outside a spoon and 3 mugs dirty.
