this anime is one of my all time favorites, but it's still so amusing to see the height difference of the kids and the adults. the kids technically look like bugs hahahahah
Tbh, most children are like taka. Calm children who doesn't whine or complain are rare and abit concerning imo. Realistically, taka is the most realistic child irl.
I was a calm child, at least when I was around Taka's age. Probably because of my observing nature and my parents and grandma were good role models as well. You can say it did turn out well for the most part.
@@dimitramantzourani9565 i usually believe calm children are observing one or sensitive one. I worked at a daycare for like 2 months and saw the children which were calm were mostly goal oriented.
@@ankushdixit4876 HI! As a little girl I was quite extroverted, basically a social butterfly. But you are right; I was and still am very observant and can be quite sensitive. I wouldn't throw fits, but in elementary if someone made fun of me I would cry (a lot tbh). 😅
@@prixe12 They won't. That kind of behavior should be stopped then otherwise the child would become a brat and by the time u try to correct them it would be too late. However smacking shouldn't be done on the head rather on the butt. Also, if taka wasn't such a brat, scolding him would have worked just fine. IRL at that age, scolding tend to be enough to stop bad habits of kids that age but then again this is anime.
smacking already seems traumatizing to a child. idk to me it is. probably because I was “raised” to see that smacking or spanking a kid is kinda harsh to me. 💀🖐
As a person who loves kids, I liked kids like Taka. They're really fun and full of energy. Some people just doesn't have patience to deal with them. You need to understand kids like him, once you listen to them then you'll be able to get their attention and they'll listen to you more.
well I live with a taka that’s just a tad bit quiet but trust me, u just get so drained that u act indifferent towards them. at least that’s what happened to me. the difference between me and hayato is that i seldom hit my brother. i just use words to control his actions. i usually glare at him and calmly said “don’t do that” and he just listen. maybe those that have a taka in their life can try this ?
I always admire people who like kids. I don't like kids yet I don't hate them either. I just don't know how to handle them and I get really anxious if there's a kid crying like crazy in a restaurant or something. My friends often told me to smile and be a little friendly to kids but I hate it bcs they always started to ask me to play together while tugging me or suddenly hugging me. I'm ....*sigh*... I can't handle it. :')))
Yes, and they're surprisingly the easiest to teach things when you're not shouting at them (when other people do because of their naughtiness) Like those kids are used to getting yelled at, so when you talk to them in a calm tone they're actually the sweetest. Based on my experience dealing with kids lol
@@JustSomeLunaticW.OAMustache yep. DO NOT yell at them. kids get influenced by emotions around them so if you’re yelling, they’ll get influenced and start to retaliate.

It's like an older sibling thing honestly cuz like the old man kinda stole it(or found it idc ) and of course his older brother is gonna be mad cuz not only his little brother gave up on it and had a hard time doing so but also they spended so much time searching it
Nah that perfectly encapsulates having an older brother. They'll do what they think is best for you in the moment (like letting go of a sword) and they'll mess with you constantly (like bonking your head) but they'll always stick up for you no matter what.
I like when one of the baby’s says “ katuma pain pain fly away” and then his brothers like *sniff sniff* “the pain flew away… thanks takuma” AGANDGFSSGDGSUHFD SO CUTE
taka and hayato's dynamic reminds me of my relationship with my older sister. we constantly fight and argue but it's not like we hate each other. sometimes siblings have to butt heads to see eye to eye and understand one another. it's a pain in the butt but we still love each other all the same!
Sounds more like a toxic dynamic in my opinion. Families should never fight, no matter what. Constantly fighting and arguing is a massive red flag of a toxic relationship(No offense).
@@jovanisanchez3590 no offense but that is stupid and very narrowminded way of seeing a relationship that has nothing to do with you. People are not going to always get along and disagreements are sometimes mandatory for progress as we cannot guess how our actions or words affect others all the time. Calling a basic, if unpleasant, way of communication "toxic" is dumb. Especially if it's between family members, they are all individuals no matter how they are related they will not always see eye to eye. What kind of fool thinks people should never argue? Gosh
Their whole family is really interesting. If you’ve read the manga you find out that the mom was married to one of the teachers there but got divorced. So each kid is probably reacting to that in some way or another. (Like Taka always misbehaving but needing attention. He’s a really good kid at heart he’s just super duper sensitive and desires attention and love ^^)
Even if he's a good kid at heart,he was practically raised by the older brother. The mum should not have kids if she doesn't have time to take care of them. I personally pity the older brother. Having a kid brother like that who ruins the things u care for and Weil every now and then can be so annoying. The guy barely has a life of his own as he has to babysit. Personally, I wouldn't be able to be this patient with that kind of kid. I would definitely get angry and shout at them so I understand that he hits him everytime he misbehaves. I would have given taka the cold shoulder a long time ago. In my family from a very young age, we are told not to do the things taka did. My brother as a kid once drew on the wall with coloured pencils. Mum got angry with him twice and he stopped. If his bahaviour hasn't changed much that's because the mum does a pretty bad job at raising kids and gives her responsibilities to the older brother. Also, my things and your things is something that should be taught around this age so taka would not take his brothers things. He isn't reprimanded by the mum and a kid would not normally listen to the brother when being reprimanded.
khadz lmao I get what you mean. I don’t agree with her parenting either but to each their own. It’s interesting tho too cause she’s not a “bad person” or anything. She’s really nice and a good teacher but I guess it’s easier to be nice to others and it’s harder to raise two kids. Especially if you weren’t expecting a divorce. I just think it’s interesting how this shows that people are by default good and just reacting to the world around them depending on how they were raised, but their intentions aren’t always inherently bad. So that’s why I’m like Taka isn’t a bad kid. Of course he’s fiction too XD so I’m not sure if actual kids have the capacity to not be little monsters for no reason. But I guess despite not liking kids myself, I want to believe that even the mischievous ones have a reason.
@@khadz1705 how accurate, he indeed barely has a life of his own because he also needs to take care of taka. in the manga, i remember kamitani having an offer to transfer to another school and play for their team (which is loads better than his current one) but he rejects it because he still needs to take care of taka (with the help of the babysitter club). this was his own decision though, but it's still sad since he has always been fond of baseball.
I dont know if people caught it, but the scene where the butler told him the color of his panties is a reference to hamtaro. A pervert calls the house and is breathing hard. And asks what color her panties are. And hamtaro says she doesmt wear any.
it's also not a specific reference to ebichu. it was an old thing in japan where random people could call you assuming you're a girl, breathe heavily, and ask for the color of your underwear or other stuff like that. the mangaka for nekojiru once wrote a diary entry like that in the 90s about how it happened to her.
Everyone talking about how the kids are cute but no one talking about how good taka's va is at voicing his cries and wines(sorry if i spelt that wrong)
About 2:00 "Hayato" is a name but it also means "Falcon" in Japanese. He was looking at the falcon dolls and it reminded him of his big brother. That's why he was staring so much.
When your brother or sister doesnt hitting or talking to you its pain in the ass but its love but when they ignore you LITERALLY it means they hate or you really do something bad.
he also whacked usaida's head for making him cry in the santa episode (even though usaida had a point and managed to convince taka to eat broccoli lmao)
Alternative title: *Taka crying for 8 minutes 49 seconds* Edit 1: I’m not gonna be that guy who says ty for all the likes but 1.9k?! That’s *ALOT* of people...
Poor Taka, he's just needy is all. Kids like that act out because they need more attention, that's it. That and they don't know how to handle their feelings. I was one of those kids, so I have a special sympathy for them I guess. Also, when the older brother walked away from him that really struck home with me because one of my worst memories is my mother coming to pick me up from school after I'd been bad, and her just looking at me and walking out the door, and me having to chase after her, and all I could think was that she was going to leave me and never come back. It's a big deal for a little kid.
hell, even now i sometimes have trouble handling my emotions without becoming completely apathetic to them, it's fine if a kid overdoes it sometimes, or rather it's probably unhealthy if they aren't a bit dumb or immature.
It’s probably not helped by the fact his brother hits him... a lot, and is generally just really dismissive of his concerns. He’s kind of terrible honestly
Yea my mother also dropped me off at a gas station once, because I was crying for no reason, and being the clever kid I was, I pretended to go away and boom, she ran after me lol.. Man, I was a psychopath...
yall must read the manga its really tearjerking esp this chapter where taka accidentally locked hayato outside the balcony in winter n he dont know how to unlock it back. it made me cried like hell. i love taka n hayato so much
I feel really bad for taka, even if his older brother doesn't actually hate him, there's only a certain amount of 'you're stupid' a person can take before they start to believe it.
They call each other stupid and make up each time, it's fine. It's a mutual understanding. My siblings and I call each other idiots but I think my self esteem would stoop low if my parents were to say that rather than my siblings
Tell me about it, I grew up like that. I'm still pretty salty abt my brother's attitude, but I don't really believe I'm stupid anymore. Not as in " I'm fully stupid" just stupid at times like everyone else lmao
The whole series basically: Usaida: *sleeping* Hiroyuki: *that boy in one sided love* Chuukichi: *antisocial but carries the most amount of brain cells in the group* Tomoya: *Pedophile in making* Inomata: *Tsundere* Yuki: *slight Dandere* Kamitani: *Hitting his little brother* Kashima: *Telling Kamitani to not do that* Taka: *Complaining and crying because Kamitani does that* Kotarou: *staring* Kirin: *fantasizes about dreams all along* Kazuma: *crying* Takuma: *smiling* Midori: UWA!
swordsmanoftime3001 I understand why you’re saying but do remember that the reason most of these kids turn that way is because of the way their parents treat them. Taka was basically ignored by his mum and his only interaction with his brother is him hitting his head
I feel for Taka, I really do. I hate to pop the cutesy bubble, but hear me out for a sec: He has all the the telltale signs of emotional neglect in a way. He needs a lot of attention and feedback (which his older brother gives him NONE of), so when he couldn't get it, he gets loud and rambunctious to get that attention. When that doesn't work either, he acts out by punching his brother or blacking out his big brother's autographed ball to, as he himself said, get his big brother to play with him and to spend more time with him. Taka should probably fare FAAAAR better with Ryuichi, because Kamitani only bashes Taka's head to get him to heel, does not spare effort to be more sensitive like hearing Taka out or spending more quality time with him, and ignores the kid when Taka wronged him. And as you know, ignoring young children gives a feeling akin to death to them psychologically. Taka is a very active and imaginative kid with so much energy, and being stuck to stoic Kamitani as an older brother is like Superman being forced to be near Kryptonite all the time. 8:23 legit upset me. I remember crying like this until I couldn't breathe to get family to "love me again", and I don't wish this on any other child. Taka, in more ways than one, is more realistic than most here. A lot of people keep gushing how they want to give everything in the world to Kotaro, but hot take and unpopular opinion, I want to give all the time and love and guidance I can to Taka. Peace out.
Yess, and knowing that their partents divorced explains also. Though Hayayo loves him but him being a tsundere that also longs for a father figure is not enough i guess
No you guys don't understand until you've been around a kid like this. No amount of attention is ever enough, and it's exhausting to be around a kid like this cause it's not like you can tell them to go away or that you need space. What Taka needs is time and affection, not from his brother, but from his mom (who never has time because she's a teacher and has work) and his dad (who isn't around and for some reason isn't allowed near his own kid despite teaching in the same school) A sibling is not a parent not can a sibling replace one or both of your parents. Poor kid, but I feel more sorry for Kamitani cause it's not like he can cry or throw a tantrum even though he's dealing with the same thing
I love how Kamitani threatened the booth tender while they weren't looking, describes his view of his little brother quite well. "You're annoying, and stubborn, but I love you. Even if I don't say it.'
As someone who has a younger brother with a 13 year age gap, this is incredibly accurate. I’ve watched this anime before and I could feel myself relating more to Taka and Kamitani than any of the other characters 😂
I feel like Kamitani is a pretty realistic depiction of teens around babies/toddlers. When my nieces and nephews were born I was high school and I couldn’t really care to play with them and I was really cold towards them (rebellious phase). So I ended up not having much memories of them when they were young. Now I’m in my 20s and trying to spend more time with the family :)
I feel like this is one of the few animes were I would never ship anyone because it's so cute and wholesome it just doesn't fit with me if you get what I mean

I have 2 year old sibling and she already got smacked when she was 1yo
smacking already seems traumatizing to a child. idk to me it is. probably because I was “raised” to see that smacking or spanking a kid is kinda harsh to me.

@@equinxplayer8395 I relate but kids seem to like me for some reason 😭
Yes, and they're surprisingly the easiest to teach things when you're not shouting at them (when other people do because of their naughtiness) Like those kids are used to getting yelled at, so when you talk to them in a calm tone they're actually the sweetest. Based on my experience dealing with kids lol
@@JustSomeLunaticW.OAMustache yep. DO NOT yell at them. kids get influenced by emotions around them so if you’re yelling, they’ll get influenced and start to retaliate.

Their whole family is really interesting. If you’ve read the manga you find out that the mom was married to one of the teachers there but got divorced. So each kid is probably reacting to that in some way or another. (Like Taka always misbehaving but needing attention. He’s a really good kid at heart he’s just super duper sensitive and desires attention and love ^^)
who is the one that got married and divorced?
@@amirhelmy3652 Taka and Kamitani's parents got divorced.

You dont know the more they cry the more cute they get
I feel for Taka, I really do.
Peace out.
ah, this was a nice analysis to read. it does makes sense the way their behaviors are explained
Yess, and knowing that their partents divorced explains also. Though Hayayo loves him but him being a tsundere that also longs for a father figure is not enough i guess
thx am crying rn
Yeah, I really hate how his brother treats him sometimes. He is so unkind to him, a little child. It's really upsetting to watch.
No you guys don't understand until you've been around a kid like this. No amount of attention is ever enough, and it's exhausting to be around a kid like this cause it's not like you can tell them to go away or that you need space.
What Taka needs is time and affection, not from his brother, but from his mom (who never has time because she's a teacher and has work) and his dad (who isn't around and for some reason isn't allowed near his own kid despite teaching in the same school)
A sibling is not a parent not can a sibling replace one or both of your parents. Poor kid, but I feel more sorry for Kamitani cause it's not like he can cry or throw a tantrum even though he's dealing with the same thing
"Kamitani, please stop threatening small children" why does that sound so funny

This might be Ryuichi's take on The Simpsons' Mrs Lovejoy: "Won't somebody please think of the children?!"
I love how Kamitani threatened the booth tender while they weren't looking, describes his view of his little brother quite well.
"You're annoying, and stubborn, but I love you. Even if I don't say it.'
This scene is underrated.
Kamitani loves taka a lot but the problem is he want his brother to become strong thus he doesnt show his weakness
Love that! Like if Taka was ever hurt or kidnapped or something I want to hope he'd go into daddy bear mode
2:43 this moment was gold for me. He was just breathing in the phone.
I refuse to believe Taka didn't have some sort of brain damage from all the hitting his Nii-Chan did XD
As someone who has a younger brother with a 13 year age gap, this is incredibly accurate. I’ve watched this anime before and I could feel myself relating more to Taka and Kamitani than any of the other characters 😂
What's the name of the anime?
@@klutzess1232 gakuen babysitters
Same 🙄🤌
Lol I'm the younger brother, in my case with a 7 Yr age gap. But we r more like the kotaro Ryu kind, cus my bro too sweet to me
Do u really beat the crap out of ur younger brother then ?😂
Taka: "I HATE YOU NII-CHAN!"
Kamitani: *"oh."*
Lol aurally I think kashima and kamitani should switch brothers
Kamitani is really like *smack*
I feel like Kamitani is a pretty realistic depiction of teens around babies/toddlers. When my nieces and nephews were born I was high school and I couldn’t really care to play with them and I was really cold towards them (rebellious phase). So I ended up not having much memories of them when they were young. Now I’m in my 20s and trying to spend more time with the family :)
Lol rebellious phase, never have one of those and alway be great with my siblings
@weeby weeb lol thank you
sad that me and my sister's age difference is 15 yrs old and i wanna get along with her but i couldnt
idk abt her tho 🤔
Yeah I can relate to this
but I love my baby cousins lol
I love Taka as much as Kotaro. Idk why people hate him
Tbh Kamitani and Ryu would be a precious couple. Ryu is such a mom.
I feel like this is one of the few animes were I would never ship anyone because it's so cute and wholesome it just doesn't fit with me if you get what I mean
That’s kinda sus 🧐
Reading that gave me a stroke
@@markclint8701 Uh. You should probably get that handled, seems like a medical emergency.
@@reign7920 your missing chromosomes seems to be more of an emergency

I was thinking the same 😂!
I’m not ashamed to say that this anime made me cry, it was a beautiful story.
I’m finna watch it
@@b.7245 That’s a good move
Is it just me or did Taka quietly saying I give up and it showing his sword make anyone else tear up?
This anime had no business making me cry every episode lmao
The episode where the twin brothers cried made me cry😩😭

@@Inktrailler whats the anime called

@Hello thx
@@masterdeiji6462 thanks for the heart
Poor baby with an adult voice; he doesn't deserve to get hit ❤️ The teacup humans are so cute.
Kamitani actually a real one he stays at the school and the trash baseball team even tho he could get a scholarship for baseball, most likely for Taka
He even joined the babysitter club.
I'm pretty sure he did mention that if it wasn't for his brother he'd be going to a better school.
@@cheesecake2048 Kamitani's team said that he could find a better tean at another school
@@Aqua_9191 yeahh that's what happened.
