As a native non-Jewish German I am happy to see somebody like Tuvia Tenenbom who really does what Germans call "Tachles sprechen", adressing the matter directly. Even if like me many people of the left hoped for decades that this horrible spirit of antisemitism has finally disappeared for good, we now have to realize that it's omnipresent in our society. I read this book in German and I only wish that as many Jews in Germany as possible will read it before it's too late.
I also appreciate Mr. Tenenbom's humor, as without loads of cynicism you cannot bear and suffer the crap people say about Jews in this country.
Please continue writing these eye-opening books and breaking the taboos of "political correctness".

i am glad rabbi golub ask about his parents he doesn't say much in his book on then, you could see real emotion and pain when he discussed them, it is amazing he was able to disarm this guy who's career is being "on" and got him to drop his act for a second

I love Tuva Tenenbom, one of the few journalists who is out to discover the truth whatever it is.

This Jew doesn't care about truth. He wants to kvetch and play helpless victim with the rest of his perverse family while trying to not be responsible for his own actions and the repercussions of those actions.

I read his column "Fett wie ein Turnschuh" on German "Zeit" - It was marvelous, the same sense of humour of Ephraim Kishon, but far deeper, especially his travels between Israel and Palestine.

Lol I'm not surprised in his findings, he discovered what the Torah said outright eisav hates Yakov and that's the reality, when Jews are sinking spiritually, eisav will opress us, when Jews start to wake up and do Teshuva from all our sins then we will have peace with the nations, it's so unfortunate that Tuvia left the Jewish religion, all the answers is in our holy Torah, the only way to fight antisemitism is having unity within the Jewish nation and safe guarding the laws of Torah, if we can just focus on our spiritual welfare antisemitism would not affect us, our enemies are there from G-d, they are just a stick in G-d hands to prevent Jews from continuing to assimilate to the non Jewish cultures and to look within and change themselves. We focusing on the wrong thing, WAKE UP YIDDEN!!

Israel IS God's chosen. The Jewish people are God's chosen. God even said, "To the Jew first AND THEN to the gentile". So many trying to harm Israel and the Jewish people. It is disgusting! The "Palestinians were NOT the first in Isreal. Isreal does NOT, at all, belong to the Palestinians. God will NOT allow Israel to be divided and many woes will fall upon those who are trying to divide Israel.. I stand strong and proud with Israel AND the Jewish people. Imo, the root of all this hate for Israel and the Jewish people stems from, envy and jealousy of those who are trying to destroy Israel and the Jewish people.

There is no "west bank". It has a name; it's called Yehuda and Shomron and is the the ancestral heart;and of the Jewish nation. So, name it for what it is!

    • @היללהראל-פ3כ
      @היללהראל-פ3כ 8 лет назад +1

That is perfectly true. Furthermore, west bank actually means all of the territories west of the Jordan, this includes Galilee which since 1948 belongs to the internationally recognized boundaries of the State of Israel.
With. the east bank, formerly the eastern part of British mandatory Palestine and at least one fourth of its surface, was given to the Arabs of that territory as an Arab state in, guess what: PALESTINE. So there already is a Palestinian state and no need for a second one.
What the international community finally (in 1948) granted to the Jews was so about half of the tiny land west of the river, split into tiny strips which were actually impossible to defend, only that the impossible became possible and Israel now still exists, if you like it or not.

I only disliked Tovias book for his detailed stories about how he violated one shabbath after the other in Israel, like every 20 pages ..
Why? He is such a nice guy and his book has marvelous insights!

He is a secular person, so he puts it as it is.
Why the need to cover that?
And I kinda like the notion that a secular person holds his views rather than a religious person whom you'd be more expecting to hold such views.

  • @sheynj1

I'm sceptical of his claims about the 'old-fashioned' anti-Semitism he says is the 'real' problem. He doesn't make a distinction between mainstream Left or Right politics- the Left that teaches that Israel is guilty of apartheid and all 'good' people are pro-Palestinian. He underestimates Islamist anti-Semitism to a ridiculous degree: it's really mainstream Europe! Big doubts, here.

You do not seem to have read his books. In "I sleep in Hitler's room" there are entire chapters about islamic antisemitism in Germany. Only that this phenomenon is what unites them with the right-wing and leftist people.
The most terrifying fact , however, is the 'cultivated' antisemitism of the academics and average people at the center of the political spectrum.
If you don't believe it, come here and see for yourself.

The most nonsensical to me is this "the Jews crucified Jesus". Jesus was Jewish as were his disciples and the first later-called Christians.

Listen to how isolated this man was for the first 14 years of his life. How is he any different than someone growing up in Iran?? This is such hypocrisy. This man is ignorant, and yet, he's regarded as some kind of genius. It's an insult to my intelligence to listen to this many speak. The host is no better.

A man who was able to fool the extremely suspicious Arabs , a man who speaks at least 5 languages, a man who studied math is at least as intelligent as you are. The fact that you think him a fool, speaks more about you then him.
