This is very nice and a great price for a nice look. Agree that the chapter ring could be better angled and it's easy to see the difference on the dial but what would we expect at the price ! I wouldn't expect good lume on a dress watch anyway, I don't think the original uses any lume at all and maybe Cadisen should have not bothered with lume either. Thanks for the great review Jason. Always appreciate the honesty !
Bought this for 45 GBP. For the price can't complain - it looks great, finishing is awesome, love the facets and variety finishes in the case. Very attractive textured dial as well. Quibbles are the butterfly clasp and the cheap feeling jangly bracelet, which I can easily replace with a leather strap.
Went and tried the Seiko Presage sharp edge on today, which took me by surprise how much I liked it so I came to aliexpress to see what I could find at a value price and this ticks the box for me, however I might look for a dial swap to loose the Cadisen branding, Has anyone striped one down to be able to measure the dial face diameter and can provide those details. that way I can also address the hand set potentially and loose the lume. :) great review thanks
Oh man! What a stunner! I agree with you on the domes crystal and I would change to clasp. Other than that it is one heck of a watch! Have a great one Jason!
You're right about the chapter ring. Moving the bottom flush with the indices would have improved the overall look. Why bother with the lume? It's more of a dress watch
Great and thorough review, Jason. Thanks for this. Your valid quibbles notwithstanding, this is a nice looking homage. Subpar lume doesn't bother me on non-dive watches. Rmalti makes a similar GS homage.
Just got this watch last week. I swapped the bracelet with the pagani design pd1701 which I think fits it better. Surprisingly, the solid end links are the exact fit! Really love the look of the watch!
I like it, but you definitely seem to get what you’re paying for. With that said, I have always said Cadisen and Pagani offer watches to people who just cannot or will not fork out the extra money for a San Martin or even a Seestern. Thanks!
That is a lot of watch for the money, I will consider it during the sale, thanks for the discussion, I agree with your observations! For me the two biggest niggles are the handset, which I find very boring and also the dial, which could have been much nicer with a bit more randomness in the structure, it's much more of a wave pattern than a birch bark pattern if that was what they were going for.
I guess we know what they're going for but unfortunately, nowhere near the budget that they need to perform that type of thing. Looks like it'll be around £40 in the sale, insane value
I totally agree. Let's hope the folks at Cadisen watch your review and come with a version 2. If they do take your advice to heart, they could easily add another twenty quid. Also I'm not impressed by the brushing on the bezel, it seems out of place on this watch, a fully polished one with a (slightly rounded) taper reaching the crystal would have looked so much more classy. I hope they'll take the step to the next level. Excellent review.
A couple of adjustments and it could be amazing....id also ditch the date window and go only the name or logo, woukd give that dial a chance to shine properly....and an all brushed case would then put it into the gada realm....fir the price its bonkers, i woukd of ciurse pay more with those adjustments....🏴⌚🏴⌚

33.5mm for the dial diameter

At around £40 in the sale, bit of a bargain

Exactly, they could have a fully polished set of hands and it'd be the ideal fit for this
I had not seen that one. I’m a big white birch fan. So this one stands out.
Sale is here too!

Thanks for your sincerity. I had it in my shopping cart, but now I think a Chameri is a better option in terms of quality per dollar.
I have a list coming tonight for other options 👍

I know it’s cheap, but, the finishing looks like a kid has attacked it with sandpaper.
Agree with you but I also understand them
