- Hello everyone, I'm back with another piece! This diorama features one of my very favorite monsters from the Witcher 3 game, the Leshen! But never fear, our intrepid hero, Geralt of Rivia, and his faithful companion, Roach, are here to save the day!
This was a doozy of a project but I'm so happy to have completed it :)

Fantastic work! Blown away by all the different skills that went into making this, and it's beautifully put together. Looking forward to the pine tree tutorial :)
Thanks so much! The tree tutorial shouldn't take me too long to make so stay tuned :)
Thank you for picking the undershave haircut for Geralt
The undercut is my favorite hair on him! I had to pick it haha
The number of different skills used in this video is impressive! That woodworking jig you nearly skipped over, impressive 3d modelling etc.
Thanks! It feels like the majority of this project was spent doing things that weren't directly related to the diorama haha. But I love learning new skills so this is the perfect hobby for me 😊
AMAZING. It is really unbelievable to see that you did everything from starting to the end. Building the wooden box; 3D modelling the characters; crafting each item for the terrain; assembling; painting; LED wiring... Bravo.
Definitely looking forward for next.
only one word, FANTASTIC!
Nice. I think the fog is one step more and gives some mystery to the diorama. Good work.
A new video from Geordie Crafts, so what do we have here?...
My favorite video game (best of all time),
design sketches,
digital sculpting,
3d printing,
wood working,
terrain building,
gadgets like fog,
electric circuits, led's and soldering,
sculpting with milliput,
painting miniatures,
trees from scratch,
airbrushing,
static grass and flocks,
epoxy resin and water effects,
and everything is combined into one video with editing skills like a professional.
I think you knocked it out of the park, like 10/10 and your best video so far.
(It doesn't seem like there exists a craftsmanship you aren't able to pull of too, Impressive!)
Totally awesome, very entertaining, please continue!
Oh my goodness, thank you so much all the kind words. This is actually the perfect hobby for me because I LOVE learning new things, but I lose focus if I stick to one thing for too long. This hobby allows me to flip between the different aspects and keep things fresh without burning out :D
@@Geordiecrafts Can totally relate to that, the hobby is great to combine a variety of skills into art :D Lot's of excuses to buy more tools too!
@@MiniQuest64 haha there's nothing better than getting new crafting toys!
What an amazing build! Fantastic video composition as well, I like your style!
Woah. Really impressive. Love how the fog stays in there with the glass door! Excited to see what you come up with next!
Thanks so much! I'm glad I decided to try for the fog machine, it definitely adds a lot to the final result :) Ps: your videos are awesome!!
OK, this is fantastic. besides the story the mood of the diorama is chilling. and you made not one, not two trees, you created a whole wood in this little frame. ambition meets patience meets skill meets taste. thank you.
Oh gosh thank you for the kind words! This project was certainly a test of patience, but I really enjoyed making it! Sometimes it's really fun to spend time on all the little details 😊
Wow, what a tour de force of hobby abilities. Brilliant work👍🏻
You are extremely talented
That is such great work, I can’t believe how creative some people are. Well done!!
Holy crap! Thia is amazing,
Thanks so much! 😊😊
I came from Reddit. This is the one of the best Witcher diorama. Just amazing.
Thank you for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it :)
The Witcher? I am in!
And I have watched it all. The amount of skill you showcase here is staggering. I foresee a huge success for this channel, because if the content is of this quality, 👌 👏 😍
The Witcher 3 is truly the best ever made. I play it regularly since 2015. It's actually better now than back then. Looks stunning.
I agree 100% it was always beautiful but now it's on another level!
Your trees are outstanding! No need to be so modest about your painting skills. You may still see room for improvement, but I think Geralt, Roach, and the leshen look phenomenal. I can't wait to see what you make next.
I think I might be extra hard on my painting because I'm friends with some of the best mini painters around haha. It's hard not to compare my own work to theirs, but thank you! 😊
Wow!!!! What a detailed and beautiful diorama!!!! Loved the reveal!!!
Thanks so much! 😊 it was a super fun project!
@@Geordiecrafts you are welcome!!!!! Can’t wait to see what’s next!
Holy moly! Glad I just found your channel! Beyond top quality 👍
Thanks so much! I appreciate it 😊 ps your speeder bike build was great! You have an awesome channel!
Witcher 3 IS the best game, and you've combined the best armour set with the best monster. Big 👍
"I want to keep the background fairly simple-"
"A painted Aurora Borealis should suffice."
lmao. Great production value in this video! And the diorama is excellent.
I realize now how that sounds 😂 whoops. But I just meant I didn't want to paint a full backdrop with trees, mountains, rivers, etc.
I cant put it into words how amazing this is.
Aw thank you so much!
Top tier talent here!
Amazing! I am in awe of your talents!
This is honestly one of new favorite channels. The talent is insane.
Aw thank you so much! I have a few more projects on the go right now so stay tuned :D
Your work is stunning! So much care and attention spent in getting every single detail right! Seriously well done
Thanks so much! I appreciate it 😊
Your painting skills are far better than you are giving yourself credit for. Nice job on Geralt and Roach!
just wanted to comment that I got really inspired by this video and decided to make a Geralt and roach diorama of the meme where Roach is on a roof for some reason and I'm using your models thanks for the inspiration and the models!
I love merging woodworking to my own mini painting hobby. What you accomplished with hand tools in less than ideal conditions is super freaking impressive. Great diorama. Beautiful work!
The end diorama looks amazing! loved the story telling in the video and the editing was great, and yes the witcher 3 is the best game!
Thanks so much! :D the edit was super fun to do for this one
This is so incredibly awesome
I'm here from Imgur and I can't wait to see more! It's all so good!!!
Thanks so much for checking it out! 😊😊
What an impressive journey to watch. The presentation was on par with the end result. Not only was it entertaining, but also very insightful. I will try some of the tree building techniques if you don't mind :)
Looking forward to more!
Thank you for the kind words! I appreciate it!
And of course use any techniques you see and feel free to ask questions! 😊
this is lit, too much talent and creativity at the same time, keep it up
The skills you demonstrate here in each and every step are outstanding in and of their own right! The fact you have done it all and wrapped it up with a stellar video and editing is just the cherry on top. Have a sub. Keep owning it. Looking forward to any future projects you put up here!
Also, if you have a tip jar/twitch/patreon at some point, I'm sure we can get you those hot wire cutters!
Oh gosh thank you so much! I really appreciate that! I didn't really expect things to take off the way they have!
I would like to eventually have a patreon with in-depth tutorials but I assumed it would be years before I would have any subscribers on youtube who might be interested (if ever haha). Who knows now!
This is what this hobby is all about, absolutely flawless work. Well done 👍🔥
Thank you for posting this. You are an excellent artist with a lot of fantastic skills!
Thanks so much! I appreciate it 😊
Ahhhh this was such a treat
😊😊🙏
This looks incredible!!! The detail in your trees and foliage is amazing! I appreciate when you give credit where you learned certain techniques, it helps me find new creators to follow ;)
Thanks so much! And I always like to give credit where credit is due! There are some incredible content creators on here and I wouldn't know anything without them haha
What a fantastic display of skills and artistry the final out come is just simply amazing !!!
First time seeing one of your videos. Great job
Absolutely phenomenal! Great artistic vision and then to also have the skillset to see the project through is a joy to witness.
Super cool project, Geordie! Makes me want to try a little diorama stuff myself!
You should! It's super fun! 😊
This is amazing. Super editing too which made it easy to watch.
I know I'm a little late, but my word your talented, not just with your craftsmanship, but your video editing was great too, keep up the amazing work. I really enjoyed this video can't wait to see what you do next!!
This is amazing! Thank you for posting it.
This is awesome - well done!
Wow just wow! I love how beautiful this diorama is, and how interesting and entertaining it is to watch your video. And your skills are amazing - that variety from woodcrafting, 3D modeling, electronic stuff and all the terrain hobby things - and your dancing skills - are an amazing mix and a blast to watch! Keep up the good work and thank you for your videos! ❤️
Oh my goodness thank you so much! I just really enjoy learning new skills but I tend to get burnt out if I spend too long learning one thing. This hobby is prefect for me because I switch my focus well before that happens. It keeps it fun and interesting 😊
@@Geordiecrafts and this joy is authentically transferres to your videos, which makes watching them a pleasure 😊
@@MrMagicchrisi I'm glad you enjoy them 😊 I have more projects coming soon so stay tuned!
That was really good.
Better than any official merchandise I've seen. These would fly out the door if you had any way to mass produce them. But I guess the uniqueness of this one is what makes it special.
Nice video, really enjoyed that.
Thanks so much! II'm glad you enjoyed it :)
Yeah considering this took about 200 hours I don't think it's possible to mass produce :p. It would probably take half that if I didn't make any mistakes or need to do unrelated things like restore an old hand plane or design/print/assemble a shooing board haha, but still a lot of time investment.
@@Geordiecrafts Ha, yea wishful thinking on my part, I already see a nice spot for it on my wall lol.
Btw, i thought the painting looked badass, if that's your biggest weakness you have nothing to worry about.
@@patientzeropoint5271 Aw thanks! I think I keep comparing my painting to the elites and my work doesn't come within 10 miles of theirs haha. But I'll keep working at it :)
WTF! I Saw your Cherry Blossom Tree and was like "Oh ok. She makes cool Tutorials... oh an Diorama" and when i saw how you made it and how it turnt out "OH S#!T She is a freaking Pro!!!" This looks SO AWESOME! And you are so good in so many different Things! Woodcrafting, 3D, Painting, Dioramastuff like Trees, and ofc LEDs"
You blow my Mind!
Lovely video and stunning results, thanks for making it.
This is outlandishly good!
Wow, so good! You commented on my comment on a Boylei video and I'm so glad I discovered you. You have so many skills beautifully brought together!
Aw thanks so much for the kind words! ☺️
The time and dedication you put into this is amazing. The final product is stunning!!!
amazing!
Your trees and groundwork are excellent! Nice trick with the baking soda in the tinted resin, as well. Very nice work overall!
Phenomenal work! You are a true artist, Geordie Crafts! Keep your creativity and passion going!! CD Projekt would love your achievement!!

I really hope your channel becomes a great success!
Oh gosh thank you so much for the kind words! I really enjoy working on these projects 😊
A. Your painting is 100% not at all lacking B. WOW!!! Your knowledge on building everything from screen accurate 3D models and natural elements is only outweighed by your sheer talent. Loved this piece from start to finish. Beautiful. And thanks, I definitely learned a lot by watching!!

Wow! just Wow! This is amazing! All the time and dedication, not to mention the skill that went in to creating this piece. Your editing also makes this so enjoyable to watch.
What a great piece!! Well done!! “Painting models is a weakness of mine.” She says as she does an amazing job painting horse, man and monster!! You have an impressive skill set that is going to take you far!!
Oh my goodness, thank you for the kind words! I just love learning new things haha
Amazing
Brilliant! As for painting models, may I recommend checking out Plasmo here on YT (assuming you haven't already). He mainly does military scale models, with the odd diorama thrown in the mix, but his weathering, attention to detail, realism and so on are out of this world.
Awesome! I will check him out! I'm always looking for new tutorials and awesome content creators :)
Great video!
How are you sooooo skilled at all parts of the process? 🤯 the Filming, the 3d modeling, the woodworking, the trees, mini painting… even your wetpalette looks immaculate 🤣
This is a truly stunning piece and nothing I’ve ever seen anything like before. Pleeeease keep making videos. You are an inspiration beyond believe!
Oh my goodness thank you for the kind words! I just love learning things so this muti-class hobby is perfect for me 😅

Это очень классно. Просто великолепно.
Just came across your channel and really enjoyed all your videos! Sad to see the video posting stopped and no recent videos 😢
Just released a new tutorial! I moved to a new place and had to build a new studio haha. All set up now though!
Amazing! How can you be both this talented and adorable? ❤️
Stunning! Thank you for taking the time to pay such a breathtakingly beautiful homage to the best game ever created.
Wow wow wow!
Recently discovered your channel. Beautiful work. You are really talented. Wish you the best.
That was wicked awesome!
Wow, very Great work! I love how you make every detail by yourself, from sculpting the 3d Modell to making the trees and soldering the electronics! Very great work! And btw great video and editing quality!
Thanks so much! I love learning different skills so this is the perfect hobby for me! haha
@@Geordiecrafts I know what you mean! I also like to try out new things! but for me it leads to being a bit good at a lot of things, but in your case it looks very professional!
@@diy_wizard well the video doesn't show all my screw ups 😅. I'm glad editing exists because I had over 160 hours of footage (literally) and a good 60% of it was me fixing mistakes or making things over and over until I got it right haha
"Painting is still one of my weakest hobby skills" - 5:44
Well, geez, if painting is one of your *weakest* skills, then that sure does speak volumes to the quality of your *strongest* hobby skills.
Fantastic work.
haha thanks so much for the kind words! I've certainly come a long way in the last few months, but it's hard not to compare myself to the elites :p. That said, I'm still pretty proud of my progress :D
This is beautiful!
I will never ever stop delighting in the number and profoundness of your skills😍 An awesome diorama, Geordie!
Amazing work !!!!!
🤩
Awesome. I love how you combine technical elements in your dioramas. Most traditional builders would probably paint the light effects instead of using LEDs. For someone who owns so many technical and woodworking tools it was quite surprising that you lack a hot wire cutter. If I am allowed to critique you I would suggest you improve the stones and ground texture in your next projects. Personally I am a fan of combining foam and charcoal/bark for detailed rocks, but I am sure you can work out your preferred method by learning from the great terrain building channels you linked.
Another point is the uniform gras length/colour, although without electrostatic grass it is hard to create grass tufts and patches.
For more colour variety of the gras and leaves an cheap airbrush comes in handy to mist the finished tree crowns to add some colour variance or smooth in the differences if you used multicoloured leaves.
I will await your next great project!
haha I'm nowhere near good enough at painting to tackle light effects with paint. I only got into this hobby 2 years ago so, although my skills are improving over time, I certainly still have a long way to go! And because I'm learning SO many skills all at once, I can only give each one so much attention (this is great for me though, it prevents me from getting burnt out on learning one skill).
As for the hot wire cutter, I only started working with foam a couple months ago and I can never seem to justify buying one. I always have other, more crucial, crafting supplies and tools to buy within my budget. The hot wire cutter seems to be more a convenience thing than anything else. I can still cut foam without it (although my life would be a lot easier with one :p)
I've never seen anyone use that foam/charcoal/bark method, I would love to learn more about it! I've stuck with clay and modeling compound thus far because I really like using the leopard spot technique for painting rocks and cliffs. It requires very little skill and yields pretty good results. But I'm always open to learning new techniques! Do you have a good video recommendation for it?
In the case of the grass, I actually have a static grass applicator and 11 different lengths and colors of grass. In this case it was a creative decision to go for a mossy, earthy detritus look. I tried putting some of my gamers grass tufts in here but they just didn't suit the look of a debris-filled, mossy, forest floor I was going for. Maybe I just need to improve my application to get better results.
That's a great idea about adding some highlights and variation to the trees with the airbrush, I think that would add a great level of additional detail!
@@Geordiecrafts Here is the tutorial about bark rocks from the terrain tutor: ruclips.net/video/sOy5yqctzzA/видео.html
I think he never did one on coal, but it is the same idea instead of bark you use coal pieces with good looking texture. Depending on your location charcoal might be far easier to get than something liek cork bark.ruclips.net/video/fJSL0ToASos/видео.html this viedo shows a few dioramas created by Reinhard Fritschka with foam topped of with coal. www.kirnbachtaeler.de/modell/sinsheim/2016/10kf.html here is a site that has at least one picture of a build in progress.
I hope this might help you improve and lead to even more gorgeous results.
This is epic. Congrats
