I’m astounded to see that I own 3 of your aforementioned but different styles, Polo, Tom Ford’s Black Orchid, & Hermes De Terre. Hey and I’m 58 but looks like I’m in my 30s. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
TF Grey Vetiver smells like a classy office fragrance without smelling vintage. I love to wear it for a formal event when i want a sophisticated freshie
That’s a pretty solid list. I actually prefer Pasha edt over most other fragrances that are similar. I also am lucky that I have a bottle of the older Polo Green.
Grey Vetiver is so good and as it drys down it gets sweet on my skin and in the air when you smell it is great. Side note I’m not a big Vetiver fan but this is amazing. Last forever on me. Versace the Dreamer, MFK Oud Satin Mood, and Chanel Allure Home (the original) all have mature Vibes to me. Love them
Just wanted to say its very refreshing to have a reviewer pronunciate the names of the fragrances properly 😀 keep up the great work 👍 great selection of fragrances!
Really great line up Peter! You are absolutly right that some perfumes lean more to a mature person. But than again, if a younger person wants to wear it also, why not. When I was a teenager, I used to wear these types of perfumes also. Fougére Royal... my favorite you mentioned. If I could keep only one perfume, this would be the one. I do want to mention EAU Sauvage also. It is a timeless classic, but might suit a older person better. Sauvage is more for the younger people in my opinion. A perfume which I haven't smelled until recently is Chanel Allure Homme Sport Cologne. What a beautifull perfume this is! One which will be eddit to my collection one day soon. Also a perfume for a more mature man. If you really talk about a mature perfume within the designer: Chanel Pour Monsieur. I guess I don't have to explain why...
Many were amazing but should have Cartier Declaration than Pasha….. Polo Green for harsh Winter not the Intense Cologne which is feminine …and Eau Sauvage Parfum 2012 for winter and 2017 for Summer
Great list of obvious Gentlemen's classics. I have full bottles of every one featured here. Instead of the Polo Eau Intense Cologne I would recommend Ralph Lauren Safari for Men as a replacement. I'm not a big fan of the latest Cologne Polo flanker, although the 1978 Polo Green is my favorite scent of all time. I would also recommend the entire flanker line of Terre d'Hermes - the Parfum, the Eau Intense Vetiver, the Tres Fraiche, and the newer Eau Givrée. All great, and one of the best examples of how a flanker line should be done. Tom Ford Grey Vetiver is a good choice for the general Guerlain Vetiver DNA because it is modernized from that 1959 reference classic from Guerlain. Grey Vetiver would suit the noses of today's 30/40 somethings better. But Guerlain Vetiver is the best! Throw in the 1966 Dior Eau Sauvage EDT as the Citrus Aromatic of choice and you have a great slightly maturing capsule fragrance wardrobe.
Totally agree re: the TDH. I'll have to get my nose on the Intense Vetiver again, but I did just get the Eau Givree, which I think is even better than the Tres Fraiche. The EDT is sublime and my all-time fav. Have you tried Cartier Declaration? Not sure if it's the vetiver, but shares a lot in common w/ TDH EDT but without the orange.
Thank you for your time and passion as always. I'm still enjoying binging on your content as I've still got some catching up to do. This is a great list for sure. I own a bottle or decant of a few of these minus Oud Wood. It's pleasant but never seemed to get any wear when I reached for a bottle. I wanted it to go to a good home so I gave my 60ml decant to one of my best friends who typically doesn't wear fragrances. Thankfully, he was surprised how much he likes it so he'll certainly put it to more use than I did and enjoy it the way it deserves. A few I love for various weather/occasions and would add to this list in no particular order: Chanel - Platinum Egoiste Dior - Eau Sauvage Cologne Chopard - Oud Malaki Luxury Scent - Amber Tobacco or Cambodi Cigar - These are two attar oils I love to wear on their own or to layer with Marc-Antointe Barrois - Ganymede or Encelade - I love both of these Arabian Oud - Majestic Special Oud Rosendo Mateu - #2 YSL - Opium edp Amouage - Beach Hut Nishane - B-612 Francesca Bianchi - Etruscan Water Edit: Forgot to add...Dior - Homme 2020
Except the Green Irish tweed that I personally dislike a specific note in it that turns bad on my skin, I totally agree with your list since I own all the fragrances you listed and i enjoy wearing them. Thank you for sharing, great work 👍
I’ve just joined this channel and loving the take on perfumes and choices you go for, I follow other perfume channels from younger gents but really love your content on perfumes ❤
The original Pour Un Homme De Caron should be in any collection. The new Caron Le Soir parfum intense (Black bottle) is well done. Thanks for watching 👊
I think your list runs a little bit more mature than 30. It seems to be better suited for 40 or 50 year olds. 30 is still young. I would add Platinum Egoiste.
Speaking of "Polo Ralph Lauren for men" (GREEN) 1978 version is one I have much experience with myself, although I wasn't wearing it until the early 1990's, but the "Intense" version seems like one I'd enjoy too. The Spicebomb train is the ride I've been on recently, going after a strong Cinnamon note, I was somewhat disappointed with the SB "Original" and "Extreme" versions I've recently acquired, while they're both great fragrances the cinnamon wasn't enough for me. So, I'm waiting on the third round as I went with the "Infared" and it should be here any day now. I'm not sure where to turn if that one let's me down.
Those might be even choices 40+. Noneless they are all good fragrances. Personally i enjoy them all. Bois mystique i did not try but royal oud is fantastic
If I compare them side by side, they don't. However , I get the same feeling from the Intense cologne I used to get from the original back then. So, in a way, they do. I enjoy the Cologne Intense. I still haven't tried the Oud one . It is on my buy list. Let me know if you try it. 😉 Thanks for watching 👊
If I couldn't find Dior Homme Intense, then Valentino Uomo Intense. I own the Dior ,Valentino, and the Givenchy . All of them are superb Iris fragrances. 👌
I think 30 year olds can wear all the youthful stuff. Its more a late 30s up list. D&G Pour Homme...for me a classic 38 and up fragrance. I get so many compliments with that fragrance its not funny...especially when in professional attire.
Hi Robert, I agree 100% with you. I wear whatever, whenever I want . These are just some suggestions for some really classy, amazing, smelling fragrances . Thanks for watching 👊
Funny how when you are a dirty teenager, people tell you you must smell fresh out of the shower. When you are a clean, older gentleman, they tell you, you must smell like dirt and outdoors to be interesting 😂
It's because it's a classic marketing scam. Convincing people that they are supposed to be everything other than what they naturally are. They can't make billions off of telling people that they're fine they way they are.
Bro, do your viewing audience a favor and change the angle of your camera. In all your videos, you’ve got your head tilted back, it looks kind of unnatural and the viewer is stuck with looking up your nose of all things. Tilt of the camera so it’s looking a bit down on you then I think you’ll have much better results. Peace out.
Lol, I get that from my wife 🤣 as well. I have always enjoyed smells. I travel a lot and have made some great memories. I realized you can recall some Memories with scent. This hobby just kind of grew over time. 😁 Thanks for watching 👊
must have polo blue
That Pasha bottle really has some restaurant Parmesan bottle vibes.

Another respectable video. You are really one of the best fragrance reviewers on RUclips
That's a nice compliment, thank you, and thanks for watching ✌️
Half of the joy of this is how gorgeous some of the bottles are - ie - like that Fougere Royale. Stunning!
I agree. I love the edging of the Houbigant bottles. 👌
Thanks for watching 👊
That’s a pretty solid list. I actually prefer Pasha edt over most other fragrances that are similar. I also am lucky that I have a bottle of the older Polo Green.
Nice , the 1992 Pasha was my signature scent back in the day.
Still love it...

Very high quality well selected line up! Thank you! I would add Ormonde Man and Dia Man

Chopard - Oud Malaki
Luxury Scent - Amber Tobacco or Cambodi Cigar - These are two attar oils I love to wear on their own or to layer with
Marc-Antointe Barrois - Ganymede or Encelade - I love both of these
Arabian Oud - Majestic Special Oud
Rosendo Mateu - #2
YSL - Opium edp
Amouage - Beach Hut
Nishane - B-612
Francesca Bianchi - Etruscan Water
Edit: Forgot to add...Dior - Homme 2020
Nice ones 👌
I have to get a new bottle of Ganymede ....I'm out 😪

what do you think of house Caron? beautiful creations, also fits in modern times.

What’s your take on Aramis from 1966? I’ve had a bottle since I’ve been 16. Green and masculine!
I also have a bottle. Honestly, I don't wear it much nowadays.
Nice old school fragrance with mega masculinity. 👌

If you're into cinnamon note, maybe try Hanae Mori HiM EDP, the amber color bottle. But it's becoming hard to find now.

Just a classic Divers Watch.

Does the polo green intense smell like the old ones? I used to smell in the 90s? I thought about getting that 1 and there's one with oud
If I compare them side by side, they don't. However , I get the same feeling from the Intense cologne I used to get from the original back then. So, in a way, they do. I enjoy the Cologne Intense. I still haven't tried the Oud one . It is on my buy list.

Dior homme Intense, no question. 😉
