I recently sold on a Faith Naked Venus in mahogany and instantly regretted it (as you do), saw this demo and decided to pull the plug and buy one from Ivor Mairants in England. For the £ it is absolutely incredible, there is nothing to dislike about it, it plays every bit as good as the Faith at a fraction of the cost! Fantastic value guitar which for me is a definite keeper. PS, does the blues really well!
Great playing Mike! I can't believe the price of that guitar for how good it sounds, and it looks awesome too! Bravo again Vintage! Cheers Mike, really good demo!
Another fine demo of a serviceable guitar. Your playing excelled on the open chords, the guitar hung in for the ride. The intonation was unexpected for a guitar at this price point. It's well worth the money.
"I'm not much of a finger picker" he says. But having to thread the algorithms and still offers some meaningful samples, he comes up with three lovely runs that could be turned into full on tunes ... Hmmmm, I think you need to go there a bit more :) The Giltrap is maybe a more inspiring instrument, but I would not call it a knock about guitar ... This, on the other hand, could be party guitar, a camper special, or whatever :)
Great review 😎 This or the Harley Benton GS Travel? That said this looks far larger..? ....that said I'm reading lots of grief with Thomann delivery lately and, couriers asking for VAT and brokerage charges on the Harley Benton forum...?
Love your playing as always. Very nice tones and an impressive instrument all around. The only thing I'd change is the fade on the front I'd make it a little more gradual. It's got that "clown burst" look that can be polarizing. But, I have 2 cherry sunburst "clown burst" guitars, so the more I watch and listen to you play this it's growing on me. Have a fantastic weekend bro and keep on pickin' and grinnin' 😎👍🎸
I bought one at another man's treasure it's like a really affordable pawn shop but not a pawn shop it was the non-digital straight acoustic the v660 WK for 78$ basically new no nicks or oil staining of the bridge not even broken in by any measure I got a good deal on she sounds beautiful I'm glad I ran across this brand got to help out the little guys
I love whiskey sours! I make mine slushies in the summer.... 1/3 Can of frozen concentrate lemonade 2 capfuls of Lime cordial 1/2 Cup of real lemon soda (more if you want them weaker) 2 oz whiskey (Bourbon for me) Blend and enjoy!
@@Chinaguitarsceptic , all right, thanks. I had asked if the scale is comfortable for making rhythms? By your answer then I already know that the arm is really comfortable. Here in Brazil some Vintage guitar models are already available. They are very beautiful!
Hi mate. I'm looking for a budget acoustic. I was leaning toward a Tanglewood Orchestra, but this Vintage seems great, and has the added benefit of being electroacoustic. Just wondering what your educated thoughts are between the two. I've never played electroacoustic and I'm totally a bedroom player! Many thanks in advance!
@@Chinaguitarsceptic Hello my friend thanks for your video I just ordered my Gordon Giltrap Guitar it's coming on Wednesday I'm thrilled beyond words and it's thanks to you I found this Beautiful Guitar !!..Regards Caen 😎 👍
what is that scale you were playing in the intro .. not harmonic minor right? it could be a mode of Dm but it was stranger and more melodic like gypsy jazz. maybe Hungarian minor? all I know is it sounded great and the guitar is pretty good for the money. I was waiting for you to hit the low E to see how much bass it has but you kinda stuck to the higher strings playing 3:16 in non infringement arrangement.
@@BlaineLudeman sorry brother I shouldn't mess with my friends. I couldn't resist. Won't do it again. Sriir is acronym for 'sounds right it is right' as that's my mantra for melodic lines. However you are right it is loosely based around dm but I deliberately confuse things as in the second time around I go to the major for some interest and colour then back immediately to the minor for proper resolution. 😊👍 I'm sure musically is wrong and my buddy Rick beato would crucify me, I just liked how it sounded to me. Really glad you enjoyed it too.
@@Chinaguitarsceptic well it sounded pretty exotic whatever you were doing lol. Beato would probably know what you're doing and I think that he would approve because he gets deep in theory and he would probably like it because it breaks the rules.
I have the dreadnought and the parlour guitar,s , best buy,s ever
Great sounding guitar,s at a bargain price , magic
I picked mine up yesterday, love the sound... went to the shop for a 3/4 and came away with this
Love it so far
Great mate, so pleased you're loving it.
I just did the same today. went to buy 3/4 and came back with that guitar
What a lovely tone at such a good price - nice playing too, especially the finger picking!
So glad you liked it. 👍
You’ve convinced me to get one ☝️ just need a cheap one to throw in my camper van and this I think ticks all the boxes 📦 great guitar playing mate 👍
You'll have fun with this bro. Enjoy. 😊🙏👍

Great demo/ playing Mike. Very kick ass. Loved it and the price point is awesome 👌
Very interesting tune. It reminded me of the theme form the '3rd Man' movie. Cimbalom vibes there.
Cool man that's very cool 😎👍
Nice opening on ole'Whiskey Sour mate. So got me in a Friday mood👍🎸

Hi, what do you think about Seizi Ryokan? Between the two, wich one would you get?
Very hard call to make given the price difference buddy. I can only say I loved playing this.
a cool guitar that can be used in a wide variation of music! always admire your talent as well! :)

What is the action like for this guitar? Would it be suitable for an amateur?
It was very good from memory. The guitar went back but I would say it would be great for a beginner.
Good afternoon, I'm from Brazil. I became interested in this guitar model. I wonder if the neck of the guitar is comfortable?
Good for making bases?
Yes it was a very comfortable neck to play for me. Not sure what you mean about making bases unless you mean thumb over lower notes? Cheers

Here in Brazil some Vintage guitar models are already available. They are very beautiful!
Did you have to adjust the guitar in any way? Will this be shipped directly from the factory to the USA? Awesome picking & video. Thanks for sharing.
No adjustments made, this is exactly as it came out of the box. I'm looking into USA shipping further. Thank you brother 😊👍
I'm a little confused some reviews say this guitar is solid mahogany and others are saying it's just laminated, could you clear this up for me please?
Please can you link the recording device

Either guitar would be fab mate as my experience of both has been good. Also look at faith guitars. I played a few at NAMM and loved them too.
@@Chinaguitarsceptic Many thanks. I guess I'll go to a store and play them both and make a decision!
Hey mate, how is this compare to Harley Benton acoustic (same price range; eg delta series)?
Great looking guitar, looks rather like the Tanglewood Crossroads series to me.
His shout there it does

Good stuff. Just wondering what "light gauge" means. To me, it's 11-52s. To some string manufacturers it's 12-54, which is also known as medium-light.
On acoustic I think 11s are light. On electric 9s
@@Chinaguitarsceptic That's usually how it is.
This guitar is the VE-440WK model??
I thought VE-66OWK, Did you ever find out?

Lol I get that a lot. I don't see it? Maybe middle aged fat guy with a beard and gelled hair?

I'm guessing you're not a brit? 😂😝
How action string?
Very nice quote low for acoustic
What type of battery do you use for it?
9v
How can I lower the strings
On an acoustic you have to adjust the relief first and then if it's still not low enough the bridge and nut.
Well done sir !!!! Really like your channel.
Thank you very much my friend 😊👍
