Just saw the movie “Bombshell.” Was not aware of this interview. Thought she had to be completely silent due to the NDA in her settlement against her former boss. I was not a fan of Gretchen Carlson before, but after watching the movie and this interview, I have to give her HUGE PROPS for continuing to speak out and fight against sexual harassment and abuse! God bless you!!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

I applaud her for her tenacity and bravery, however I just couldn't help but think some of her answers felt like a beauty pageant answers, but I'm sure the smiling and political correctness is just that, having been in the news biz. She gave very intelligent and poignant answeres, don't get me wrong, but it felt rehearsed. I mean she even does the the thumb thing when she talks like a politician. The girl power in me just wishes she would have been more "real"
I mean so many people in the world were wanting to hear from her and she had a really great opportunity but instead it felt like she was running for congress.

Thank you, Judy Jetson, for also noticing the rehearsed, stilted feel of the whole interview. That was the first thing I noticed, too. The whole thing was "off," like the questions and answers had been rehearsed with an editing cut-and-paste feel to the final result of the interview. It reminded me of softball interviews with Hillary Clinton when no one ever asked her difficult questions and she always got away with half-baked answers, some of which never addressed the question that was originally asked.

I support Ms. Carlson 100%, she was victimized and she received justice. However, it now seems like she's trying to take credit for ALL women coming forward with sexual assault allegations in the aftermath of Harvey Weinstein. To say that SHE came forward so that ALL other women would feel empowered to come forward feels quite disingenuous to me. I'm glad she came forward, I'm proud she came forward, I'm incredibly happy that she received justice, but considering her vile belief system as a whole, being a Fox mouthpiece, I'd like her to take a seat now. (I don't think Stephen is buying it either.)

She sounds like a beauty contestant. Did you notice her answers are all very forced and she's always in every answer saying (with a joker level smile) that this is for all women and than waiting for an applause. But honestly she's hurt the the cause of women across America. And it's the conservative complex. Where they are lacking in empathy but are all of a sudden surprised when things like sexual harassment happen to them. Or police harassment happen to them etc. I can't take her at her word. I have no sympathy for her and the way she's talked about minority's, women, etc for the last few decades supersedes her now claims of being a women's champion.

Wait she took the money to be silenced? Why is she the poster girl for justice on this issue, when she was in the ring, she took the money and ran... the message is that the power leader of this movement shows that you can only get as far as taking the money to be silenced? But she wants other women to fight harder and not take the money to be silenced? She totally disqualified her self when she took the money. Let’s find a women who says no to the settlement and fights for true justice. That women gets to be the posted girl for this issue

I think this needs to be taken one step further and these women must forgo the financial settlement and public apology and take the offender to trial. There is only one place for these offenders and that is jail. Until they are in jail they are still men with power. The power to silence their accusers. Justice needs to be seen to be done, otherwise the public will never know for sure what really happened and the there will always be that element of doubt. "Oh, she did it for the money." It would take a lot of courage for women to do it I know, but these offenders think they can just pay out money and once the media find something else to report on they can just get on with the rest of their lives, the matter forgotten. That is just not good enough. These offenders need to be forgotten about when they are in jail and the key has been thrown away!

I'm in agreement that women should NOT be silenced for telling the truth about sexual harassment. Let's face it - it was difficult for a highly educated white woman to report it; it's extremely difficult for women in less privileged conditions to report it. This will be a long fight, and we need everyone, including female and male allies, to stand up against against it.

It’s tragic what happened to her. She sill spoke out against social issues that would have benefited other women for YEARS. She’s truly played a LARGE role in spreading the xenophobic sort of politics that was allowed to flourish up until now.
I feel bad for her for being harassed.
But I still think she is an unethical, hypocritical, fear monger.
In time, she can turn that opinion around, but not just like that.

Sugarhighme Gaming I'm not saying she should be deemed a saint. I'm just saying people shouldn't be calling her a cunt and saying we should ignore her. Sure, she has some trust to earn, but how can it be earned when people are just saying not to listen to her?

You mean it should be a bipartisan issue. We'll see what Betsy DeVos is trying to do with regards to campus sexual assault. Conservatives don't have a good track record on women's rights. We have a president and vice president who have openly opposed women serving in military combat roles, for example. One of them bragged about sexual assault. The other won't allow himself to be in a room alone with a woman that isn't married to him, for fear that he might lose control or god knows what.

So why can't she take credit for it? If Alies didn't step down, would that stuff with Oreily come out? So far its a strength in numbers game so she should take credit for what is happening now.

Gretchen Carlson: "... because so many people come forward with sexual harassment claims to be famous and make money. I've never heard of one woman wanting to do that." Well, I have. If it wasn't for money and fame, it was for other reasons; revenge, power and control. Her case (and many other women) seems to be very legitimate and sexual harassment does occur. However, too many women of the type noted in my preceeding sentence, ruin it for those who have legitimate claims. This reality needs to be repeated every time a woman claims sexual harassment. Additionally, the reality of women sexually harassing men needs to be equally emphasized.

Epicawsomesocks no believe me. I had a workplace settlement for something completely different to this and was told I couldn’t discuss it. It’s an automatic part of any settlement and you could get worse problems if you break it. It’s a way for the problems to be made to go away.

i might be alone in this and it is of course anecdotal, but I for one in my own experiences have seen 90%+ of what could be construed as sexual harassment in the workplace perpetrated by women. Now to be clear, I don't give a damn and most of my male co workers were the same.. but the amount of times I've either personally had my ass groped, been talked about as a sexual object by women twice my age, or seen other male co workers have similar situations happen is literally like 20x more frequent then seeing a male harass a female. I remember conversations with 16-17 year old friends talking about how the mid 30's manager tried to get with them and things of that nature, and rarely if ever saw a male do any form of harassment because we know damn well that if we did the same things back to the opposite sex we would be fired sued and jailed. (and rightfully so! because that type of shit is never acceptable no matter who you are)
women need to understand that if they would be offended if some person they thought were "old and creepy" did the same thing to them that they do to a guy half their age or 10-15 years younger that is clearly not reciprocating flirtatious behavior in the workplace they shouldn't do it. those who do this are damn lucky that most guys are either chill about this kind of thing and shrug it off as "well that was weird." and move on with their days, and even those of us guys that are extremely offended and want to take action know that we won't be taken seriously by coworkers, HR, and be a laughing stock for months. Corporate offices care a hell of a lot less about an entry level or lower level retail management employee they can replace in a day than the GM they've been grooming for district manager for 6 years that's for damn sure. And I'm aware that it works both ways and I am in no way discounting or marginalizing females who go through this type of harassment or far worse, and my heart goes out to them and I hope they find justice.. I'm only hoping that some people open their eyes and realize that in the eyes of teens/early 20's males your the exact same as if a man twice your age had grabbed your ass and winked when you were 19.

I'm as liberal as the next guy, but I find it sad how many commenters (some of them women), who feel the need to disparage her work on Fox News. Here we're looking at Gretchen Carlson the sexual harassment victim and not the news anchor. When you're working for a company you sell its product, in this case news. If you dont agree with it, change the channel. There's no reason to trash her work on here, when the video clearly talks about sexual harassment. If any anchor on CNN ( which has its own bias) had the same experience, how would you treat them?
