Man Dynaman is a special show for me. Originally I had accidentally downloaded the show when downloading Flashman’s subs and I had absolutely no intention of watching the show but I’m glad I decided to give it a chance as this show ended up becoming one of my favorites in the entire franchise. The Dynaman cast, while not being the most deep or complex, are a lovable group of dorks who are an absolute joy to watch whenever on screen and that includes Yumeno too because after watching the final episodes you just wanna give the guy a hug. The villains are also pretty good although there is room for improvement, my absolute favorite was Megiddo because of his character arc throughout the show and everything he did in the final arc was a stroke of genius on the writers part. Dynaman is overall a fine show although after recently rewatching the show I was able to notice a few of the shows flaws. Overall a 4/5 G.U.I.S for me. As for favorite episode, I have a variety to choose from but if I had to choose it’d have to be episode 20 “Chase! The Amakusa Sun” as I feel that episode really summarizes the entire show in one episode: a fun fast paced adventure with great character interactions and fun fight scenes.
Fun Fact: Did you know that Dyna Pink and Dyna Yellow were actually married in real life? Same with Princess Chimera who was married to 2nd Vul Eagle (Takayuki Hiba)?
Fun fact: Dyna Yellow was originally going to be Dyna Orange, meaning that it would've be the second Super Sentai series to not featuring a Yellow Ranger. Like imagine if there a future Super Sentai, or PR, season would not featuring either a Red or Blue Ranger in it. Imagine how insane would that be.
WOW! You actually did it! I love Dynaman because of Night Flight. It's not for everyone but its hilarious in the sense that it's the pefect time capsule of everything that 80s shows weren't allowed to say. Also the story of Dynapink and Dynayellow actors is pretty awesome too.
Dynaman remains my favorite sentai because it was my first (on 3rd generation VHS!), it's bananas INSANE, exciting, and all without CGI! Just wire stunts and pyrotechnics in Toei's favorite rock quarry! The pilot episode alone is non-stop action from about 4 seconds in! Thanks for reviewing it, and your editing has undergone a major evolution since your earlier Godzilla reviews! Which is not an insult to those, which are still fun. It's just that you managed to keep pace with fucking DYNAMAN!!!
Yeah, my Godzilla reviews are hard for even me to watch these days, but I did those when I was still trying to figure out what I wanted to do with the channel and I was learning how to do video editing as I went along. Not to mention I didn't have the Yeti mic I have now. :-) It also helps that Zyuranger taught me how to NOT review a TV series and I think when I did Kakuranger I found a formula that worked well for TV series by breaking them up into the categories.
One thing I do want to bring up, from the Toy Bounty Hunters videos about Super Sentai, is that as a result of the large amount of explosions in this series, Japanese fans would sometimes refer to this as Kayaku Sentai Dynaman which Kayaku means gunpowder in Japanese.
@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork Also in an interview with a producer back when this was airing. He was asked about making low budget Tokusatsu shows. he told the interviewer that "they used the best pyro money could buy.
i am a navy brat and this is what i remember watching when i lived in japan as a very young child. i just found it. i remember the music intro like seriously 37 years later
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork i most certainly did. i had the dynaman's large front slanted ship with the bubble on top. i lived in yokosuka japan from 80 - 84, 98 - 03, then 06 - 08. i have always remembered the first minute of the tune and it has played in my head for so many years. i i loved your review, very well done.
Great review, Kaiju! I loved the Mega Man X showcase of the Mecha Evolution Beasts! Dyna Blue might just be my favorite! Plus I’m gonna be watching this series soon!
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork just watched someone on RUclips review the sentai toys like dino buckler digitizer king brace, aurachanger, doron changer, starbeast sword, accerchanger😊
Congratulations on your Showa era achievement :) Seems to me that Turboranger is the only one to cover the 80s if WM will eventually finish. I have to say dynaman and flashman are so good that it’s sad to compare what came before, middle and after. Except the suit and mecha designs i’m satisfied and more what dynaman had archived. Prince megiddo as dark knight and general zenobia just fantastic and general kar’s actor is a legend and awesome bad guy.
Yeah, I'm looking forward to WM to finish Turbo so I can finish off all of the pre-2000 series. Though, I will be saddened as it means I am also done with all of the shorter length series.
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork Anyway do watch the Digimon franchise or even have some stories to share, because i do and liked a lot of them from Adventure through Savers. After that, i lost interest or grow out of it.
SPOILER ALERTS : I've seen all sentai series from Dynaman to Jetman so far and with Turborangers, Dynaman is my least favorite sentai series. In the beggining I couldn't even take this show seriously so much stories and situations were borderline ridiculous. The show greatly improved in the last 10 episodes though (stopping with the inventions/kids storylines and adding a little tension and drama) but the damage was already done by then. Megido/Dark Night & General Zenobia are the only reasons to watch this show. The other vilains are uninterresting. The big boss was even killed by his son and his death was unremarkable : how lame is that. I had a hard time distinguishing the Red/Black/Blue actors at first they all look the same to me. Only Yellow had a little bit of charisma. Also I know it's called after Dynamite but the explosions were a little bit too much in this show and the stock footage of actors getting transformed into Dynamen was getting more and more unbearing as the series progressed (as soon as I heard the guys say : Dyna Red, Dyna Black, I had to fast forward).
Speaking on Dynaman cast, Fun Fact: Sayoko Hagiwara, Dyna Pink's actress, also played the villain Lay Nefel in the sentai Flashman and, alongside Jyunichi Haruta (Dyna Black), she also had a role in Kyoryuger, playing Kyoryu Green mother.
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork Yup. Both Souji's (kyoryu green) parents were played by sentai actors. Now that was a big reference. Also, from what I heard, Sayoko Hagiwara (Dyna Pink) is actually married to Yuu Tokita, who played Dyna Yellow
Great review dude. I've got tons of Toku I'm going through at the moment. Currently watching Kamen Rider V3, but have Denziman, Dynaman and Flashman copied along with some ofbthe metal heroes stuff I've not seen
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork Probably Denziman, but all really. With so many episodes in a season, do you find yourself a little burnt out by the end ?
The actors who played Emperor Aton and General Kar also played Emperor Lagorn and Doctor Lehda in Turboranger. Speaking of Turboranger, I hope that show gets subbed soon and once you review it you knocked out the 80s sentai decade.
I don’t find martial artist scientists all that ridiculous an idea, especially in this day and age. If Dolph Lundgren can be a massive, shredded killing machine on screen and a brilliant mathematician irl, ANYTHING is possible
It's not really the martial arts scientist that I had an issue with, it was there being no rhyme or reason why these specific individuals were picked to be Dynaman. I would have loved some sort of backstory that was involved in their selection process.
I love how Dynaman feels like an unintentional parody of Super Sentai's overuse of explosions. Heck, Gokaiger used Dynamans powers to use the henshin explosion to destroy mooks
It feels like if the modern Super Sentai incorporated more stunt and camera work like dynaman and flashman, the show would be more captivating instead of depending on computer graphics to cover up the skill like a thin blanket.
I gotta say, I think Dynaman has my favorite suits in all of Sentai. These were the first suits to use Spandex and theyre a really good introduction. I dont care for baseball, but i really like the baseball motif with the suit, the helmets looking like baseball caps, while the main suits look like jerseys. Out of all the variety of suits in sentai, from Dinosaurs, to Ninjas, to cars, to mythical creatures, I’m honest to god shocked the the freaking baseball ones ended up being my favorite. Though its kind of hilarious the the show hardly ever acknowledges that the suits are based on Baseball uniforms. And yeah i know the show was originally supposed to center around baseball but the idea got scrapped, but still its just funny that baseball is the main motif of the suits and no one really calls attention to it.
Interesting that they appeal to you that much, but that's also kind of cool. The great thing about Sentai is there will be something that will appeal to someone that no one else will like.
This was a very enjoyable review to watch, and now nearly everything pre-zyu has been reviewed here, with one exception... Turboranger. I assume whenever that gets fully subbed we'll get the epic movie review of the century with that one. One reason I heard that some fansubber groups didn't want to sub past the 10th anniversary special is because it's really really dull, which is kinda telling. Was hoping Shout would get to it by now if they didn't stop their Sentai DVDs last year, but Hasbro had to get in the way sadly...
Yeah, I'll review Turbo after it is fully subbed. I was saddened RUclips disabled the comments not too long after the premier ended as I was planning to say and chat for longer. It's not that Hasbro wanted to stop Shout! from releasing Sentai, but they couldn't give them permission to do so due to them having to go through everything they just acquired from Saban. Blame Saban for selling his property. Which Epic MOvie are you referring to though?
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork So basically, they have to triple check what the rights are since Saban sold them a bunch of properties in bulk? Well, as long as they eventually open up stuff like Fiveman/Aba, hopefully shout can get back on track with them. Still, I do find it a bit irksome that since Hasbro bought Saban's stuff, nearly every sentai/PR related video ever it seems have Hasbro's dumb Pinkie Pie cartoon videos promoted in the card section, since they auto-claim anything related to Sentai, even the sentai shows that haven't been released or adapted into PR. We can't even get the Toei Tokusatsu channel to play anything from Sentai or Metalder/Spielvan because Habsro is holding those rights. :| Least Janperson is viewable and it's pretty awesome, I hope Discotek gets that one. And as for the movie bit, I was mainly joking about how the Turboranger review from you could basically serve as its own movie, considering it would be the grand finale of all pre-zyu sentai reviews, is of an infamous series, and would be pretty fun to watch. Don't know if you'll ever go that far in-depth on a show, but it was a silly idea
Sorry. Having watched Night Flight when it was first one I loved the Dynaman parody. It was actually one of the many reasons I got into finding the original series to watch to see where it came from. Also there are countless parodies of things like Star Trek, Doctor Who and countless other English speaking shows. Late night comedy shows always made fun of them. We need to learn to lighten up and make fun of the things we enjoy.
The difference is people in the US scoff whenever they see a Toku show, always thinking it is cheesy and bad due to piss poor dubs like what Godzilla had back in the day and then all of the terrible Kung-Fu dubs. Not to mention the image Power Rangers had on the genre. Yet, I've never heard anyone think of Star Trek and Doctor Who as anything but serious.
Episode 35 resonated with me - the robot Gon was willing to sacrifice his unique power source - and thus his life - to protect the father / daughter family he's compelled to defend. But ultimately Dynaman decide to leave Gon intact since he's as a part of the family as any human relative would have been. Also the shift in the giant battle music from episode 33 onwards is even better than that of Sun Vulcan! I can't wait to see how this season ends!
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork WIll do. I've got less than 10 episodes left to watch. I just realised the Future Science Institute attacked in episode 41 might be an upgraded Future Science Foundation, but if that's the case why weren't Goggle V defending the lab? They may have been on Goggle Vacation. Or it could be an entirely separate entity.
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork OK, Overall I thought Dynaman was great - by many measures a huge improvement over Goggle V and its odd weapon choices (to name only one flaw from that series), but I have a big glaring question: If Gorenger had Eagle to build the Variblune, JAKQ had ISSIS to build Sky Ace, Battle Fever had the National Defense Ministry to build Battle Fever Robo, Denziman had experts from planet Denzi to build Daidenzin, Sun Vulcan had The Guardians of World Peace to build Sun Vulcan Robo and Goggle V had (assuming the Future Science Foundation is limited to the people we see on screen) three adults and five children to build Goggle Robo, did Dr Yumeno build Dynarobo all by himself? I guess if he's capable of that, getting rid of the tree from the base from episode 38 would have been child's play for him. The first 33 or so episodes were at least better than average Sentai fare with moments of brilliance, a blend of action, drama and a little comedy, but episodic without much of an over-arching story. Then Episode 34 hit and the ongoing plot kicked this season into high gear, putting it head and shoulders above every season before it with only one shortcoming - EVERYTHING dies to the same Dynarobo finisher. Even Goggle V had an interesting final battle between Goggle Robo and Tabu where the standard finisher didn't suffice. The special effects are mostly an improvement over the seasons which came before, with less reliance on looped / reverse footage and many more interesting camera angles, forced perspective and simple but effective visual effects. Some of the effects were a little too ambitious, and I can see why the growth sequence for the mecha evolution monsters was changed from a miniature on a string to a much better shot of the monster costume towering over the Dynamen. I'm going to watch Bioman next. It has big shoes to fill. Quite enormous shoes actually.
I'm guessing the reason the monsters legs are so weirdly portioned is so the costume would be to the same scale as the Dyna Robo costume, resolving the problem previous mech battles had since Spiderman. As for Ryu's goal, surely the people of the Sentai universe should already be aware aliens exist thanks to villains like the Black Cross Fuhrer/King, Shine of Crime, and the entire Vader Clan? Well either way this is the second video I've seen that recommends Dynaman, making it sound like a highlight of the Showa Era.
I think so. As for the existence of aliens, you have to remember, the shows were set in their own self contained timelines compared to Kamen Rider, so aliens don't exist as far as they know in their world. It is very good, especially when it loses its 5 minutes.
Yes it's like when one of the heroes wanted to make a flying bike or something and couldn't and yet used Dyjupiter all along. Some stories and situations were really ridiculous which is why I had a hard time watching this series at first.
After this review, all you need is Turboranger to finish reviewing another decade of Sentai. Congrats man. And there’s also series from Abaranger to Boukenger and the rest of the series starting from Gokaiger. I can only imagine your review for Kyuranger (YOSSHA LUCKY) lol
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork That was actually the first sentai show I've watched, which was weird cause it was an anniversary sentai and they were paying tribute to the past sentais lol
I think it's a great one to start with as it didn't require you to know the other seasons to enjoy it, yet, it paid tribute to the past with great respect.
In the end the villains never got to shoot their music video. The Dorodoros nearly succeeded years later in their honor but were interrupted in the end.
lol We'll see. I just went back to the X games I have already beaten in the collection and recorded some gameplay snippets in case I do some sort of video on MM.
7:55 actually, i had this fun theory that Rei might got her fear of cats from two speculations: either she is allergic to cat's fur, or she was attacked by a cat when she was little
Had expected you to give your opinion on the USA Network dub (they gave us "Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills" a decade later), but I didn't expect a cameo from Silver Quill.
I've seen Suspiria. I may at some point review them, but they aren't in the plans at this time. Movies are getting harder and harder to review on RUclips due to their copyright system.
Finally you are almost close to finishing off the 80s sentai seasons all its missing is turboranger and now your done with the 80s sentai seasons and by the way before power rangers dynaman made a American appearance in some American TV shows and yes they have English dubs
7:45 Triggered! 18:56 My favorite part of this video. Machine Gun Jaguar is probably the best looking in my opinion and has the coolest name 👍 Is it just me or Dyna Robo looks like the mecha from Changeman? 22:47 Yeah. I miss those too. Looking back, the older sentais are charming. Deserve respect.
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork Hello KNK. Good work with your review. Despite a few missteps, Soda made good things for the sentai legacy. I apreciated his work even more.
Hey Kaiju no Kami I just want to inform you that your review for Dynaman did not appear on my subscription page. I've subscribed to your channel and I have no problems with your previous videos appear on the subscription page but I seriously don't know why this video did not appear the way it should have been. So strange.
That's probably because I did it as a premier, which means it would have shown up in your feed on Monday when I scheduled it. It's weird how that works with RUclips as it doesn't readjust it in your subscription feed the moment it actually launches.
Something stood out to me in this video. They said their colors to Princess Chimera, right? Wouldn't saying so instantly transformed them into the Dynaman as saying "Dyna(Color)" instantly transforms them?
Kimchi. U are not wrong there. I was confused. It was in the second half. He was about to gain his tenth tail but also said he grants someone a tail. I remember that lol
Well I've got to say that I've not seen anything from this series. Also these suits weren't used that much in Gokaiger interesting. But I will say that 2:06 that clips gotten old. 5:17 I think you said GoGoV not GoggleV on that one. 7:43 yeah I don't get that. 14:54 Too bad Toei didn't have him come back in Gokaiger or the Super Hero Taisen movies. 15:49 No that doesn't sound right. 16:03 I got to be honest at first I didn't know what you were talking about because to me their evil but I looked it up on Rangerwiki and saw that there's an episode where we had some of them broke away from the villains to live their lives as humans in disguise I think you should have gone into more detail on this. 16:28 I'm kind of surprised you didn't have a Little Shop of Horrors joke/reference here.
No, I said Goggle V, it's just that the mic didn't pick up the L sound as well. As for the family, they didn't split, they were just pretending to be humans. However, I didn't go into that as I want people who watch the show to discover that for themselves. I actually did think about the Little Shop of Horrors, but I couldn't get the song I was considering to use download because RUclips's being a bitch now when it comes to downloading clips.
It's right either way you say it for the family. Also it's a good that you didn't have the clip from Little Shop here I'm scared crapless by that movie. 21:41 That makes you feel sick? I'm fine with it. 27:22 What movie did that come from? I know I've seen it but forgot where it came from. Yeah with your ending with the two girls in bikinis is good but honestly I'm more just wanting to look at MAO. :)
It doesn't really make me sick, I just felt the need to use it as part of a joke to change things up in my Effects & Music section since it's hard to usually alter that section beyond just switching which part I cover first. The Forever part came from The Sandlot. If you have never seen it you must check it out as it is a fantastic movie.
7:33 I think you might be looking too deep into this buddy. When I saw the last name Tachibana, the first thing that came to mind was Hibiki Tachibana, the protagonist of the anime Symphogear (phenomenal show btw. If you can sit through the very low budget season 1)!
To quote of what Sandman, from The Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon series, said: Sandman: "I had bad experience with cats." Maybe that she must had some bad experience with cats when she was young before becoming a Dynaman herself. That's my only theory, i guess...
I've already reviewed Maskman. :-) The only series before Magiranger I have not reviewed is Turboranger and that is because it hasn't been fully fansubbed yet.
Great Review KNK! If I ever adapted Dynaman it would be done much better & far less sillier but still fun. I would also call it Power Rangers Dyna Might.
Super Sentai like you said you might do in your Sun Valcan video. I even know two lists of villain pages that can help you and a few bits of information of the villains like how Tao Zant was using his tail to literally hold the base together explaining why he didn’t do much until the end.
I finally finished season 7: Dynaman after 6 months with a 4 months break! I love classic Sentai! This was definitely one of the best seasons of the early ones and not just because it had a storyarc
Oh, my god, that Dynaman gag dub might just be one of the cringiest things ever inflicted in the Super Sentai/Power Rangers continuum. All I have to say is Thank GOD for Haim Saban finally doing a proper localisation in 1993, and for Shout Factory for releasing Sentai shows uncut starting in 2015. Here's hoping Shout gets around to Dynaman.
I do hope Shout! can get back to Sentai again. I also wish people would understand how licensing works and not just blast Shout! as if it was totally their decision to stop doing them.
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork Agreed. Besides, at the moment, Shout! are busy with Sentai's older, darker cousin Kamen Rider (specifically the original series and early 00's throwback Kamen Rider Kuuga), so it would be nice if they broke up the Rider releases with more old Sentai.
Just finished this season last night and man was it so good. Definitely In either my top 10 or 15. Megiddo is now one of my favorite villains in the franchise and the ranger cast was enjoyable. I don’t have a real favorite cause I loved them all. My favorite episode has to be dark knight’s introduction cause it was just so awesome seeing this awesome villain show up and have both the rangers and villains be unsure how to deal with this new enemy. I give it a 4/5. It is a really solid sentai.
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork sadly that day when I watched the debut of Dark Knight, I looked up a picture of him to show to my friends and the first image spoiled who he was so I’m was kind of disappointed that I didn’t get to find out for myself
I enjoyed the final arc but have to say that some of the endings for the big bads were dissapointing tbh. But Megido/Emperor Aton fight was badass and that they finally included the Dr Jumeno! In other ending arcs the mentor is involved but doesn’t have much importance and they changed that with this ending! I loved the whole twist of Dr Jumeno and him being of the most important keys in that finale! His description of all 5 rangers in the end was so heartwarming:( Great stuff! But they could’ve done more with Kar, Chimera in the end
Dynaman is a very weird show for me because in one hand it has many flaws that the sentai shows of its time has. Little to no character development, repetitive nature of the episodes and few plot holes here and there, that do set the show back from being a masterpiece. Yet I still absolutely loved this show, The characters were very charming the fight scenes were amazing and while the villains are nothing special I still felt a sense of urgency when they were on screen. Overall I dare say this is my second favorite sentai of the 80s only behind Flashman.
Same for me. I really wanted to give the show a 5, but some of the flaws just couldn't be overlooked. In fact, up until the very point I filmed the last scene I was still considering a 5.
I'm pretty close in finishing up this series myself due to ending up taking an unofficial break from watching Ninninger (watched all of Gokaiger, Go-Busters, Kyoryuger, and ToQger before that) even though I have 11 episodes left on that and man, Dynaman is so damn fun to watch which in turn would be my second Showa era Sentai series I managed to watch in its entirety with Liveman being the first. Ryuu Hoshikawa/Dyna Black is easily my favorite ranger for this series even though I ended up really liking all five members of the team. I also love the look of Dyna Robo. Probably my favorite mecha design from the Showa era so far. I also liked the villains, the soundtrack plus its opening theme song and yes, I even liked its ending theme song though I can see why you don't care much for it and that's okay. All in all, Dynaman is definitely making its way among my Top Favorite Sentai series.
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork It's alright (I'm at about ep 23). I think the reduced time slot does help it somewhat, but it seems they were still figuring out how to go forward. Supposedly it gets better, but there's hasn't been anything particularly good or bad about it so far. I do really like the music and the villains so far. I'll get back back to you when I finish it, then I think I'll get a more accurate view. :)
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork Welp, I finally finished it and said I'd get back to you on it. My final assessment is that I think it's a great show, the main problem is how slow paced it is; I felt like the series didn't start picking up until 30 episodes in! Ultimately, I recommend it and think it's a return to form after Denziman's successors weren't quite as good (I'm watching these in order).
If one has 10 Tails, does that mean they obtained all of the Tailed Beasts? What about someone who has 11 or 12 tails? What about those Sea Anemones are those tentacles count as tails? If the number of tails means they are more powerful than those with less, I would hate to see the leader of those Tailed beasts.
Yeah, the tails thing was weird. Hell, doesn't that mean Tails should automatically be the ruler of Mobius since no other animal in Sonic has more than 1 tail?
Kijin do you think super Sentai will ever come to streaming services over here in the states because the only way I see it working and my own opinion is look I'm not a big person when it comes to sub or or doves and anime I'm fine with either or wasn't listening to dubs as a background noise but I can see the only way that super Sentai would work if they have both multi-language dubs and subs that way it can cater to both audiences and how they present it would be a big thing I can understand that and see how it wouldn't work but it be accessible But that's just my opinion what would you always be
The 12 series Shout! Factory released on DVD are on their streaming service. If you mean beyond those, it all depends on if they license the or not. However, I wouldn't count on them ever being dubbed as there just isn't enough value in it.
2:31,well if it makes you feel any better..I got the MP3 for 'Dynaman your my friend' music from the Dynaman Convention episode. I'll share the link to ya if you like. 2:48,XD WTF?!! This isn't the abridged Night Flight version but this is hilarious in so many levels. 6:56,HOLY SHIT! Tiger Roid from Kamen Rider ZX!
When it started I was quiet freaked out. The first episode was just a lot to take in and a wild ride. It was all over the place with explosions and that weird Salamander People Clan! But I got used to it and after the season I even enjoyed the whole Storyarc of the Clan with Megido/Dark Knight! And Zenobia, Chimera and loyalty of General Kar!
I feel like the show really took off when the time cut happened as it tightened up the plots because it meant there was no time to stall out with stock footage or anything.

If I remember right, episode 20 was a really good one too. Glad to see you enjoyed the show as much as I did.
Fun Fact: Did you know that Dyna Pink and Dyna Yellow were actually married in real life? Same with Princess Chimera who was married to 2nd Vul Eagle (Takayuki Hiba)?

Makes sense.
@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork Also in an interview with a producer back when this was airing. He was asked about making low budget Tokusatsu shows. he told the interviewer that "they used the best pyro money could buy.
Dynaman is my opinion the show (not forgetting about the writer Hirohisa Soda) that kickstart the Golden Age of Super Sentai
Agreed.
God the explosions are insane how the hell did the actors not die making this insane show
lol
Oh man I've been waiting for this.

Kaiju no Kami check my comment I was watching the classic cartoon wacky races online haven’t seen it since 1995 on the Cartoon Network 😎
i am a navy brat and this is what i remember watching when i lived in japan as a very young child. i just found it. i remember the music intro like seriously 37 years later
Wow, well I'm glad my review helped you rediscover a childhood memory. :-) I hope you enjoyd the review too.
Thanks.
Great review, Kaiju! I loved the Mega Man X showcase of the Mecha Evolution Beasts! Dyna Blue might just be my favorite! Plus I’m gonna be watching this series soon!

18:20 - 18:33
Well.... I can definitely say that Dynaman just predicted what the future is in 2020.
Quite... weird.
Kaiju no Kami ☺️interesting
Kaiju no Kami cool 😎
I totally forgot she played Green's mother.
DynaMan was gonna be a baseball series. Explains the helmets.
Yeah it does. I'm glad they changed it though.
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork yup
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetworkI don’t know, the series title when it was a baseball themed show, V-Leaguer, sounds pretty badass.
Great review dude. I've got tons of Toku I'm going through at the moment. Currently watching Kamen Rider V3, but have Denziman, Dynaman and Flashman copied along with some ofbthe metal heroes stuff I've not seen
Cool. What series are you looking forward to watching the most?
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork Probably Denziman, but all really. With so many episodes in a season, do you find yourself a little burnt out by the end ?
Dyna Pink's fear of cats is really a CATastrophe
later she played a cat woman in flashman
@@isprukungkung Actually Nefel is a chettah woman but irony still the same.
I have to admit, I would love to see shows have camera work like this with a wide pan battles.
Definitely.
The actors who played Emperor Aton and General Kar also played Emperor Lagorn and Doctor Lehda in Turboranger. Speaking of Turboranger, I hope that show gets subbed soon and once you review it you knocked out the 80s sentai decade.
Same.
Yeah, that was great.
i somehow get the feeling Micheal Bay loves the dub of this, and calls it a legit super hero show, even though they turned it into a fucking parody
lol
That ball and chain lures the savage kitty.
Yep.
2:17 Wait till they see the post-Kyuryuger shows.
lol
I have been always waiting for this review
So have I.
Kaiju no Kami I loved Dynaman
Kaiju no Kami Fun Fact about Dynaman: Dyna Pink Rei Tachibana married her co-star Nangou Dyna Yellow
Cool.
It feels like if the modern Super Sentai incorporated more stunt and camera work like dynaman and flashman, the show would be more captivating instead of depending on computer graphics to cover up the skill like a thin blanket.
For the most part, it would definitely help.
The great thing about Sentai is there will be something that will appeal to someone that no one else will like.
the baseball player uniform themed suit designs which got stuck is odd, is it that costly to just make new suits from the ground up?
Assumptively.
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork Dude, relax. It's a parody dub, not one of those WWII Looney Tunes shorts.
Nice. Let me know what you think when you finish the whole thing.
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork OK, Overall I thought Dynaman was great - by many measures a huge improvement over Goggle V and its odd weapon choices (to name only one flaw from that series), but I have a big glaring question:
If Gorenger had Eagle to build the Variblune, JAKQ had ISSIS to build Sky Ace, Battle Fever had the National Defense Ministry to build Battle Fever Robo, Denziman had experts from planet Denzi to build Daidenzin, Sun Vulcan had The Guardians of World Peace to build Sun Vulcan Robo and Goggle V had (assuming the Future Science Foundation is limited to the people we see on screen) three adults and five children to build Goggle Robo, did Dr Yumeno build Dynarobo all by himself?
Let me know what you think of Bioman as that one did not wow me as it did with others, though I do understand its significance in the franchise.
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork I'll add a comment to your Bioman Review video when I've watched it all to keep it on topic.
Actually he did succeed as the Aleins helped the rangers out in the end. They must have been really mad that the villains impersonated them.
What I meant was that he never actually got to meet them physically.
Yeah, I am dreading having to rewatch the last decade worth of show.
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork But if you were to pick a favorite from the last decade, what would it be?
From the last decade, Gokaiger, no contest.
No, they never did. :-D
18:49 - 20:09

I've subscribed to your channel and I have no problems with your previous videos appear on the subscription page but I seriously don't know why this video did not appear the way it should have been. So strange.
That's probably because I did it as a premier, which means it would have shown up in your feed on Monday when I scheduled it. It's weird how that works with RUclips as it doesn't readjust it in your subscription feed the moment it actually launches.
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork Oh I see
Something stood out to me in this video. They said their colors to Princess Chimera, right? Wouldn't saying so instantly transformed them into the Dynaman as saying "Dyna(Color)" instantly transforms them?
No because they had't activated their bracelets.
Congratulations on finishing the Showa Era. All that's left is Turboranger, and you'd have reviewed all the Pre-Zyu Sentai series.
Yep. I'm hoping Wandering Moonbeams will have it finished by the end of the year.

I think it is mentioned in one episode that Anton has the power to grant others more tails
Nope. Anton was trying to find a way to gain more tails.
Kimchi. U are not wrong there. I was confused. It was in the second half. He was about to gain his tenth tail but also said he grants someone a tail. I remember that lol
Love how most of the fights went into a wide shot.
Same.
17:42 All glory to the hypno-toad! Also didn't they re-use General Kar's costume in Akibaranger Season 2?
Well, it was recreated.
Can you do a list of all of Sideshow Bob’s appearances.
Probably not, but I may do a Bob Top 10 list.
7:33 I think you might be looking too deep into this buddy. When I saw the last name Tachibana, the first thing that came to mind was Hibiki Tachibana, the protagonist of the anime Symphogear (phenomenal show btw. If you can sit through the very low budget season 1)!
It's a joke.
To quote of what Sandman, from The Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon series, said:
Sandman: "I had bad experience with cats."
Maybe that she must had some bad experience with cats when she was young before becoming a Dynaman herself. That's my only theory, i guess...
I totally forgot about that bit from Sandman. I should have used it, oh well.

Glad you enjoyed it. :-) I liked the way they did the Dark Knight stuff too even though it was kind of obvious.
That fight on the beach was just pure badassery.
I am so excited
I hope you enjoyed it.

Glad you enjoyed it. I pretty much agree that it got really good in its last half.
Wait you said you reviewed all Showa sentai right? Did you review J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai?
From the Showa era? Yes. Turboranger is the only show before Abaranger I have not reviewed.
Kaiju no Kami What did you think of J.AK.Q. Dengekitai?
My least favorite Showa era series.
Kaiju no Kami Can you send me a link to your review of the series?
16:53 that's an interesting way to learn Biology/Zoology
lol
Abridge before abridge became a thing!
lol

Here ya go. The link to Syd Dickliss' Dynaman tribute.
Was that stock footage of Silver Quill or did you get him to make a cameo?
For the continuity? That was stock.
