Awesome find! As someone who lives nearby but has never been fossil hunting, I know erosion is the best landform to look out for but do you have any other tips?

Sometimes I walk deer paths, well traveled ones sometimes produce nodules or fossils 👍

Yes it is, it's amazing what erodes out of the strip pit hills over time!
