    Very relatable content for every plant parent. A series of this in future following up on their progress updates would be great.

    Aglonemas are super slow. Mine was not doing a single thing for 6 months and then suddenly gave me a new leaf and a baby. Try adding fertilizer. Once I did that, it did something finally. But yes, the root system looks great even though the top looks the same for a long time.

    I feel like the verrucosum may be in too large a pot so will try to concentrate on root growth rather than leaves

    My rex begonias live in self watering pots, pumice substrate (1-2 mm size), light is 9,000 LUX or 200 PPFD (use an app on ur phone to measure the light from ur leaves)

    I mean the Rex begonias.

  • @veganmagick7251
    @veganmagick7251 2 месяца назад

    I think my begonia rex is going through something similar, but i don't think it's me because I have another begonia rex escargot in the same spot that has no issues. This other one was shipped with damp paper towels around the leaves, and all the leaves that were touching it got that same spotting. I removed all the rotted ones, and the plant was looking good, good new growth and then boom, I noticed the spot on a different leaf. So I've been trimming them and propagating and i also sprayed today with a baking soda and green soap diluted mix (i hope i didn't kill my plant, but i can't get a fungicide immediately so it's the best i can do short notice). I'll update and let you know how everything goes. Also, let me know if you solve this issue. These begonias are so beautiful i would hate for them to die. Also, I'm subscribing!

      @myjunglestory  2 месяца назад +1

      I’m glad I’m not alone. I already used a fungicide but it keeps on happening. If I see it happening again I’m just cutting it away. The tap dance I’ve completely cut back 🤞🏼 hopefully she comes back.
      Yes definitely me know and I will keep you updated! I don’t want to give up they are so beautiful 🥰
      Thank you! I appreciate it 💚

      @@myjunglestory I think its a begonia rex Fedor. I can only use rainwater or distilled water on mine. I experimented with tap water and added API stress coat, some of the leaves ended up with brown spots on it.

    • @myjunglestory
      @myjunglestory  2 месяца назад

      Hi! Thank you for joining the story 🌿 it’s the coarse semi hydro mix from soil ninja. It is very similar to pon just bigger chunks and there’s no osmocote in the mix, I just add it separately 💚

      @@torquess454 I’m sure they will eventually. Their mixes have saved my 🍑 so many times 😂 you can always make you own. It’s made of chunky zeolite, pumice, leca and lava rocks. Then you can choose to add osmocote or use a liquid fertiliser suited for hydroponics.
