Plenty of balanced views. There were people who didn't like him and didn't get along with him but plenty of people who did. I think Warrior was just a guy who saw he could make a lot of money from having the right look and charisma, he didn't want to play around with the boys or be married to the business and that seems to have rubbed a lot of the generational wrestlers and lifers the wrong way. That old school mentality was still big in the 80's and 90's where you had to do everything a certain way and love the business, Jim Hellwig certainly didn't care for all of that but he knew how to make money and he did that with a lot of different guys.
Wrestling locker rooms always felt like high school or prison mentalities to me. Always a bunch of cliques, the popular kids who do what they want, the bullies and so on with the rituals and respect thing like in prison. If you don't do things a certain way or pay respect the right way people get mad at you over it even if it sounds petty on the outside. Kamala once said that while he was struggling on pay due to being low balled by Vince it was warrior who took care of him. Warrior got his hotels and travel paid for so he had Kamala travel with him quite a bit and helped him out since he couldn't afford a good place to stay. When Warrior was the champion he had the use of the company limo which he let a lot of the boys use, many of which would shit on him later like Bret as Warrior and Owen got along. It's interesting when the boys benefit from five star treatment but then crap on the guy later.

Beefcake claiming Warrior never reached his level of success, or that Warrior was getting booed......🤣
Then people wonder why Warrior was such a dick to the upper card wrestlers.
Warrior knew they were all snakes, and treated them accordingly.
Fuckin' Beefcake wasn't as successful as Disco Inferno ....😂

Exactly right. He knew what they were. They were so jealous of him at the time and they still are. He made his money and got out and went on with his life and was hated and bad mouthed for it. Owen Hart had the same plan. So Jim did what was best for himself and screw everyone else. You can’t blame him.

People don't understand that you can hate on hot wheel collectors but still be a hot wheel collector. You know? Like I say, but what you like, man. It's your money. My whole thing is, if it has value, it has value. You know? Make make sense. Kids don't care about hot wheels, you know? Grown man do. Like I say, it's a toxic community. Pay attention. Till later fam.

15:25 even when Hellwig trained with RVD420 Hellwig did little actual wrestling.
So why did Hellwig bother visiting Damm to train.
Hellwig was just some over roided bodybuilder who came in on two wrestling booms in WWF late 80s and WCW late 90s and Hellwig still sucked on Nitro.

    • @yes100yessireebob6

He didn't need to "wrestle", the guy was an entertainer and performer, and all the guys who told him not to run to the ring, not to shake the ropes, not to do certain things........never achieved the popularity, nor the amount of money he made.
Warrior was selling as much merch as Hogan, and after winning the title, he literally had no new heels to work with, Randy Savage, Rick Rude were the top heels during his run, and he never faced anyone new til the Undertaker debuted.
It's dumb asses like yourself, that don't know shit about wrestling...
Getting guys over and getting heat is ALL professional wrestling is about, and anyone who says anything different is an idiot.
Ultimate Warrior didn't need to do drop toe holds, and sunset flips, or dive off the top rope, because his character wouldn't have worked doing that shit.
By your standards, Andre the Giant sucked because he never did a 450 splash.
      GFYM

Warrior had good sides as well as bad just like anyone else however you cannot just ignore all the shitty things he did & said. Just because he's dead. And as far as I know regardless of what people keep saying about he apologised & took a new stand on all these things he said in the past, I don't ever recall hearing him take them back or apologise.... All I heard was his wife's apologies for him or claiming he was sorry but he never said it while alive.
I think some of the things he did like how he treated certain kids, particular ill ones leaving them to wait around for hours, bad enough doing that to colleagues & backstage crew, the cameramen etc but for make a wish kids & the like is unforgivable.
He got caught out moaning about that little boy he had to apologise to saying he didn't mean it, he wasn't sorry. Instead of just being mature enough to admit he was wrong.
And how he hurt others in the ring from a lazy carelessness & deliberate neglect of safety due to having a huge ego & looking upon these guys who were getting him over, making him money like they were lesser human beings. Who cares if he broke their bones or put them in hospital was his attitude!
His callous attitude towards Bobby Heenan when he was dying of cancer, then laughing at that actor's suicide was disgusting.
All of that is bad enough for me to say he wasn't a good person. He had certain good points too and I'm. Sure he did do some good things for others but just those things are enough for me as it's not the kinds of thing I would do or want to be around a person who did do those kinds of things. That's very unattractive to me.
However to put the cherry on top of the cake was the anti gay rants he went on. I'm not one of these lgbt agenda pushers either but it was kinda disturbing as a gay person the intensity of the hatred that was coming from him.
