What a lovely model and great finish. I’ve got this in the stash to start soon. The trick with decals across seam lines (which I discovered on the Ferrari F310B) is to slice the decal at the right time, don’t go too early or leave it too late, easier said than done though!
Thanks man! But yes, there’s certainly a trick isn’t there lol. I think I could have pulled it off with a brand of decal I’m more familiar with, but these Studio27 ones tear pretty easily so I definitely needed better timing!
1:35 For the god hands you want to cut with the blunt side off the model, acting as a guillotine for the nub. The way you’re cutting will always leave about a millimeter gap since the god hands are offset with the blade sitting higher, by placing the blunt side on the edge you can then slowly cut off the nub cleanly.
Nice job! Thanks for sharing this. You mentioned in the video about making 3D printed parts and I would like to ask you if you could 3D print some parts for the 1/20 scale Tamiya Williams FW11. They are the air ducts that "cover" the radiators on both side pods. Like the ones MFH made fir their 1/12 scale one. If you are interested in made these parts I would buy 2 sets of them. Please, let me know.
Hey, that’s a super interesting idea, I’ve been interested in that kit actually. Shoot me a message on Instagram, my username is @cj_modeller, and we can talk about it.
Maybe it's your first car model but it ain't your first model! No beginner knows about carbon fiber decals and knows how to handle an airbrush like that and the finish and decal job no beginners can do! This hobby ain't like a jigsaw puzzle or stamp collecting! So you must be an aircraft / armor modeller or something!
Consider myself a pretty good armor modeler but I've got a few cars and 1/48th aircraft I'm putting off because the difficulty seems much higher. You can't cover mistakes with mud!
@@TheSaturnVI'm a car modeller for decades and I can tell you doing car paint finishes to a mirror like shine takes a lot of trying with polising sheet kits and polishing cream compounds. It's so easy to burn through the paint to the primer and have to repaint. I've done it so many times. But after many paint jobs I can do it quicker and way better now . I mastered my own technique. I think we all have our special tricks and abilities but my nightmare is weathering aircraft and pre-toning the panel lines, I need lots of practice there!
Hah no, not my first model at all you’re right. If you look at the channel, I’ve always been an aircraft guy, but I’m looking to expand into cars and armor here now!

Such a great video and model. Great job. Keep it up with the videos
Thank you so much Sato, it means a lot. I’m working hard to get another out quicker than this one.
Sublime build!
Much appreciated!
You did it well 😍😍
Thank you!

I’ll work on my technique then, thank you for the tip Lunatic. I definitely don’t preclude user error here lol.

Yea definitely not his 1st model not with all the modeling tools shown.
