no way would I attempt the PPC with a 2 1/2 hp outboard motor - I have a 4 hp outboard on my 18 foot catboat with a remote gas tank and I would have to be hard pressed to go through the PPC with that

Those little outboards have an internal in gas tank that doesn't hold much.. Screaming along at full throttle must have ran it dry.
