Yesss omggg I am so happy that it's on your bucket list now!! It was so magical, as you could see in the video I was so happy and just enjoying myself the entire time
Watching this vlog took all of my stress away. Thank you for showing us the breathtaking wonders of Jeju. Such an informative and interesting vlog. Congrats babish...🧡
Thank you for watching! 🙏 Yes we traveled everywhere by bus. It's not super ideal since some places we went to had buses that didn't come that frequently. Tourists usually rent a car because of this reason. We just didn't get to rent a car this time. But as you saw from our trip, buses are still very doable 😊 just takes more planning ahead of time
Oh that's exciting! We went to one around the Seongsan Ilchulbong area. It didn't have a specific name, just 제주농원. For some reason all the tangerine farms near us were named just that on Kakao Maps.
Was it easy to drive in Jeju island? Heard the traffic is different from US, many speed camera and road bumps. How is the car rental navigation? Approx what time does it get dark in Jeju in Nov? Are most of your places here closer to Jeju or Seogwipo area? Going there next week. Planning to stay 2 nights Seogwipo and 1 night Jeju. Thanks!
Hello! I'm not sure if you realized this while watching the video, but we never drove, we just took the bus everywhere we went. So unfortunately I can't answer regarding cars/traffic. But most of the places we went to are in the Northeast Seogwipo area, except for Osulloc which is Southwest. It began to get dark around 6pm at the time. Hope that helps. Have fun with your travels! 2 nights in Seogwipo and 1 night in Jeju City seems like a good plan 👍
Hi there. I saw online that the weather in November is around 13 Celsius-16 Celsius. I would personally wear the usual seasonal clothing like long sleeves and fall jackets, but you can always wear more or less depending on how used to autumnal weather you are.
This video is so helpful! Nothing stops me from going to the Jeju Island this summer. However, I heard that mosquitoes are heavy on the insland. Any good ideas to get rid of them?
Thank you so much, and I hope you have an awesome trip! I haven't been to the island during summer so I haven't experienced it for myself. There are probably topical mosquito repellents from Korean pharmacies though? I'm not so sure 😅 When we went to Jeju during fall, we had no problems with mosquitoes but probably because it was colder than usual.
Seogwipo is a really large area, so it will depend on where exactly you will stay :) Since you will still need some time to travel from the airport to Seogwipo, I suggest finding a nice dinner restaurant near your accommodation, or go to Seogwipo Olle Market to grab some food and have a Jeju market experience.
I mentioned this briefly during my video but I'll explain it explain further! They aren't super convenient because the further you are from the city, the longer the wait times are. Some buses also stop running from as early as 5-6pm (mostly the very rural ones). That's why a lot of people rent cars in Jeju. BUT, that being said, buses were all I used both times I went to Jeju and I had no problem. I was able to go everywhere I planned to. You just have to plan your schedule accordingly!
It was super affordable, I don't remember the exact price anymore but it was around 5,000 KRW (but you do have to pay for the tangerines you take home with you, as I've mentioned in the video)! The name if this place was actually just 제주농원, just like all the tangerine farms near us. I'm not sure why they don't have specific names but that's how they're all displayed on Kakao Maps.
I am a 64 yr old American woman who does not speak Korean(but I am trying to learn a bit!) My bucket list dream is to stay on Jeju for a month amd just wander and see as much as I can. I plan to rent a small home or apartment. I lean more towards natural beauty, historic sites and I absolutely love all Korean foods! Do you think it will be possible for me to do this alone and be able to navigate and get where I need to? Which part of the island would it be best for me to look for my lodging for the month, since I am more of a nature area loving person? I have no problem using buses and walking, even though I'm a bit slow!
First of all, that's very exciting! Props to you for going on a solo adventure in Jeju. Here's my advice: 1. Learn as much Korean as you can, since not a lot of Jeju locals speak English. But if you need help, Papago, the language app, will be your best friend. 2. Anywhere in Jeju is filled with nature, especially the Jeju Olle trails. But I did enjoy staying near Seongsan Ilchulbong, and also Jungmun-dong (posting a video on this area soon). 3. The Jeju Tourism Organization has an online chat and also a hotline that you can contact if you need any help. I've used their chat once and they were very helpful. Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions!
@Rigelotus Thank you so much! ❤️ oh! I almost forgot! What month of the year is best? Because of my age, the heat is worse for me than cool weather and I rather enjoy fall type weather anyway! I don't plan on swimming in the sea, so don't have to worry about water temp! But I totally am not opposed to being able to play in a waterfall! I did that here in the US and spent all day hanging out at a beautiful waterfall system in North Carolina!
Spring and Fall are the best seasons for mild weather. So Fall would be perfect for you too :) I've only been to the Cheonjeyeon Waterfalls in Jeju. It was also very beautiful, but the bummer is you're not allowed to swim there. I'm sure you can find other waterfalls that permit swimming though!
The buses aren't super convenient because the further you are from the city centers, the less buses are available/ the longer the wait times are. Some buses also stop running from as early as 5-6pm (mostly the very rural ones). That's why a lot of people rent cars in Jeju. BUT, that being said, buses were all I used both times I went to Jeju and I had no problem. You just have to plan your schedule accordingly!
The great thing about Jeju is that the weather is pretty mild throughout the year. But if you want a specific season, I'd say spring and fall are the most popular times to go because the temperatures are not too hot nor cold 😊
I would say compared to Seoul, there are definitely a lot less people who can speak English. You'll have the best luck in very touristy areas, but even then, it would be best to have a translator app just in case.
Hi, Im flying from Manila to Seoul, and from Seoul to Jeju. Do i need transit visa when i check in and pass throuh seoul immigration? kase dadaan ulit ako immigration in seoul to jeju. thank yyou
Hello po 😊 I'm not so sure because I haven't had the same route before, but if you already have a tourist visa for Seoul, that usually means you're covered for the entire country (including Jeju).
Hello, 🥀🥀🥀🌻🌻🌻🌼🌼🌼May I share an Old Testament Verse with you from Daniel 7:14 "And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should SERVE Him; his dominion is an Everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." Also, can I share Isaiah 53:5 " But HE was WOUNDED For our TRANSGRESSIONS, he was BRUISED for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His STRIPES we are HEALED." God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin. Then, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, & immoral persons sorcerers & idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today and please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus (Y'shua is His Hebrew Name) and stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily please?
