I'm 100% sure Deathloop and Dishonored worlds are connected. They wouldn't mention that the old pistols are oil powered if they didn't want to give players an obvious hint, in case the distinct look of them wasn't enough
Bruh i looked at those pistols but just thought they used the same 3D model as they did for the low cabinet and other stuff from Dishonored, now i understand that's just the same kind of cabinet from the same universe...
oh please look at the orange sky! It was foreshadowed in the novel where Billy Lurk walked through dimensions and also timetraveled which resulted in the events of the death of the outsider in the first place she was the one who killed daud by accident!
Julianna spent over 170 years perfecting memory compression those guns are a Easter egg but I don't think they're in the same world since she's been looping for that long leaving that world behind
Y'know thinking about Julianna being able to shift after the loop has been broken makes me think that has something to do with the fact of Liliana getting pregnant with her on Blackreef being in exposure to the anomaly. Maybe that gave her some sort of connection with it that allowed her to be able to bend it to her will pretty much as we see her invading other Timelines when no one else knows how yet.
The ending was nice. We saw the aftermath of what happened and the characters we interacted with so it's a nice touch. It also shows of sequal vibes. I hope we get it.
I think it's pretty clear that Deathloop is meant to take place in the world of Dishonored (and don't know how anyone argues otherwise after the way the ending draws your attention to those very familiar pistols) but I have to say, I'm not really hearing The Drunken Whaler in that transmission at the end.
The high pitched whirring at the end sounds a lot like the transition into the drums from Drunken Whaler slowed down. I also faintly hear the girls voice who sings it fade out right before it. It's hard to tell since there's some overlap, but it could be it. I'm not fully convinced, but I do hear something that sounds like it
In my opinion there is one thing that is uncanny. The reflexes of the sun in the scene with Harriet are shaping in the shape of the eye. What if the dead god of void from DotO is back and is taking control over the world?
I loved the extended ending. It felt much more complete. I've now completed the game three times (twice on PS5, once now on Series X via Gamepass). I didn't even know about Pick in my first two full playthroughs, but I "released" her on my third. I was so happy to see here in the extended ending! I also had fun with the HALPS laser and Fugue and upgrades seemed fun, but it's hard to not use Shift and Nexus (or Aether, on occasion).
4:22 I'm pretty sure that's Egor control panel being loaded into the truck - the one that was cloaked and controlled the antennas. I wonder what that means?
my money for where they end up next is pandyssia, in dishonored lore it was this massive super continent separate from the empire of the isles and it was generally known to be a pretty mysterious and spooky place. most expeditions there ended in the sailors never coming back and a special interest from the abby of the everyman due to them being suspicious of void cults being in control of the island
Perhaps a follow up to Deathloop could be an official future game of Arkane's in an official Dishonored 3 set place in a more modern eques time period compared to the Dishonored games that have came before it. If Deathloop and Prey are connected to Dishonored maybe the Dishonored 3 could be right before Prey as far as the universe's timeline goes! I like your ideas and theories.
I assumed the game worlds were connected when Julianna and Colt use the old timey pistols in the final scene before the end cutscene which are almost exact replica's of the pistols from dishonored.
@@EricAntiHero Exactly. They're connected due to the void. I've looked into a lot of Prey vs Dishonored videos in the past and they're very convincing. I love the theory. Even if it isn't true, it's fun to think about.
Haha, it's kinda funny because I didn't even realized the games were connected when i saw the pistols, because i used to notice several times the low long cabinet from Dishonored. And instead of thinking that the universe might be the same i just thought they recycled the same 3D models for both furniture and pistols. Paradoxically i think it is someway easier to understand the universe is the same from the furniture style, which is pretty unique, rather then the pistol which is a common musket pistol. Moreover the fact that the powers doesn't come from the mark of the outsider at all makes difficult to connect the game and it's a bit forced. I'd have loved to discover the games were connected by seeing his mark on someone's hand or stuff like that.
It would make sense for deathloop to be set in the future if the dishonored universe because Arkane said that the next Dishonored game would be in a time after Corvo and Emily
I believe canonically the Eternalists stayed in the Loop for a VERY long time. There's an actual number of years I forget what it is, but basically they are probably thousands of years past the time of Dishonored.
After I beat the game today, I watched a video to see if there were any other endings I was so confused why the video didn't have the full ending for break the loop, it was part of a recent update
when i saw this ending before watching the video, people told me there's a dishonored 'easter egg' at the end. And I just listened to it really carefully, and I thought "is this drunken whaler?" even though I could barely make anything out of it. But now that I see this video here, and you point it out as well, I guess I'm not the only one who thought so! it's really..vague. but somehow it has this distinct kind of 'melody' in the far, far back. However, it actually being a 'direct' happening after the last Dishonored game, it's possible. But there are a lot of things already explained in the novel "The Veiled Terror" what actually happens after Dishonored: DOTO, and what people do about the void actuall slowly 'eating' away parts of the world and causing rifts. The people actually harvest this substance in the void, called Voidrite. They use it to power machines or even make the first ever floating 'airplanes'. There are things i've seen in Deathloop that looked like Voidrite...or Voidrite-powered. So perhaps it's actually a legit 'continuation' , but not directly after the last game...but perhaps a few years later.
Pretty sure the reason that nobody tries to attack Colt (bar Julianna) is that the eternalists and visionaries are only informed of Colt's 'betrayal' very early in the looped day. I've seen people mention the eternalists but not the visionaries. It's weird that the other visionaries don't remember previous loops, and yet they seem so affected in different ways. Charlie and Fia seem to permenantly go their separate ways, Wenjie seems really annoyed (perhaps there's some unexplained detail there), Egor just seems moody as per usual, Aleksis looks literally traumatised, Harriet is just an anarchist, and Frank just seems confused. It's weird understanding a perspective here as this is a theoretical timeloop with some interesting additions. Really, no-one should be affected in this way if they do not remember the prior days. Possibly a part of them knows that they have been here longer than a single day. Questions I am yet to figure out/understand: What turned everyone into bloodthirsty psychopaths? What happens to the other loops that were communicated with? (i.e. multiple wenjies/colts/juliannas) Why, after so many explanation videos and analysis, can't I still understand what the heck is going on most of the time?
I don't think people are bloodthirsty psychopaths, they simply understand that death doesn't mean anything in the loop. You can find eternalists killing themselves using all kinds of ways (one loaded himself into a cannon in Updaam) knowing they'll wake up tomorrow. You can also find the guy killed by Harriet (the mask maker, I believe) in the morning leaving a note saying he'll be back tomorrow.
It is possible that due to the fact that Colt and Lila were around during the first anomaly when she was pregnant with Juliana and that could have allowed Colt and herself to remember between loops.
I couldn’t get into dishonored mostly cause of the chaos thing and when i started playing deathloop I was like hey this is kinda like dishonored but 70s which is why I think it’s kinda cool that they are connected
If they like connecting their games with the Dishonored universe, they should just make another Dishonored. There is so much more to explore in the world of Dishonored, why do it in indirect Easter eggs when you could make a Dishonored in Tyvia.
I definitely think Prey and Deathloop are connected Arkane doesn't leave stuff like the orange coloring of the sky ending of both games to chance. Also 1963 being a pivotal year with JFK in Prey and the beginning of the Aeon loop doesn't seem a coincidence. Could Aeon have known of the Mimics and thier enormous presence in space and hid from them in the loop for thousands of years until Colt broke it?
the 'next game' you are referring to is Redfall, which is made by a different studio, Arkane-Austin rather than Arkane-Lyon. Redfall's development is completely disconnected from the team that brought you Dishonored and Deathloop and it wont have any impact on whether we get a sequel or not.

Man, it sucked having a vague ending that made you think about things and sparked discussions. I'm so excited to see a pile of characters I don't especially care about who weren't really the focus of the game riding off into the sunset instead. If you were to beat the game without doing them then it shouldn't show the scenes with 2bit but I don't know If that actually happens
Overall I loved the last scene
Hmm, I'm curious if there's a version where he doesn't help 2-bit. 🤔
@@BettyAlexandriaPride I wanna say there is but more than likely not since when I beat the game I also noticed that pick rexley was there, but I never completed her little storyline
@@brandonspeed I didn't think she would be removed per say, because she was still in the town and would still feasibly go outside on day 1 of the final loop. I figured her being an Easter egg would only be relevant if you completed that side quest.
Deathloop dlc?...yeah thays not happening. But yeah they are definitely connected, and am I the only one that thinks pick rexley bares a striking resemblance to the empress Emily kaldwin?
When’s that prey theory coming?
nice video, i wish how and why his daughter got there and some more background on that
His daughter, Julianna, was the lead Archivist for the AEON Program, the group that made the SECOND trip to the Island and created the Loop.
Colt + Pick ❤
I just hope we get another game with corvo.
Definitely interested to see how they are connected to Prey as well.
They aren’t, lol
The only way it could work is if prey's an alternate timeline connected to the rest of the dishonored universe by The Void, cause Earth in the prey universe is completely different than in dishonored
Next deathloop dlc?? Is this planned or an educated guess?
I'm pretty sure there won't be another Deathloop game. I'm not even sure if Arkane will be the same after Redfall.
Am I the only one who thinks that Alexis is actually an older version of The Outsider? Whom actually managed to scape and somehow stay alive after the being freed from the void until the events of Deathloop? They both have yellow eyes and they have some similar facial characteristics... Maybe I am being paranoid, but that would be an awesome reveal!
I doubt it. This game takes place long after dishonored if they are connected. Dishonored 2 was in the 1850’s. When the loop started it was the 1960’s
8:25 what if…Somehow, Redfall is Also connected? I remember a similar looking orange sky caused by the vampires blocking out the sun in that CGI trailer, as we see in Deathloop and Prey’s ending..👀🤷🏽♂️
Sweet!! Just got this game! Can't wait to play it. The endings all look pretty sweet.
why would you watch the endings before playing lol
@@clickbait3753 why not?? What's the big deal?
@@turdgoblin6113 absolute insanity man
@Clickbait37 lol how is that insanity??
@@turdgoblin6113 would you read the last chapter of a book before starting? the last scene of a movie before starting it? the last episode of a show before starting it? Absolutely crazy lmao
Wait, that wasnt the ending from the start? That old ending sucks!!
hi
I don't get it.i finished game but my ending was I didn't killed Juliet,Calt wake up again and seen Juliet there too on beach and that's it. Nothing like this in video ... Is it because I decided not to shot her.
That is correct!
So if this is connected into dishonored this means deathloop is set around 1862, or if you go to the rak bunker in updamm she will say Julianna to the 1930's come in 1930's
Deathloop takes place in the 1960s in the timeline to my knowledge, theres a recording in wenji's lab that says the date of the loop's start
@@Mae_Dastardly ah ok, where did you find this bcuz I wanna find it
@@NotoriouzJay One of the tape recorders in wenji's lab where she's talking about the start of the experiment, I dont have deathloop installed rn so I cant go lookin for it lmao
I beat the game never meeting Pick Rexly
I still stay in the loop. Julianna mah daughter!!
Protecc da scarred child!
im always gonna say that colt embracing the loop is that best ending
Not sure I want them connected. The ending was ok. Old style graphics. Not sure why Juliana wanted to stay.
Julianna spent so much time in the Loop she kinda embraced it as her life. She also learned how to jump between timelines at will. Also, she most likely knew about the current status of Earth OUTSIDE the Loop. If I was her, I wouldn't want to leave either tbh.
worst ending in a game i've ever seen it leaves you with no answers.. and boy do i had many throughout the game so i was totally pissed
Wanted to watch video but can't hear you, volume is full. Other videos on full would break my ears. Lost a view
Hmm okay okay 🤔
Man, it sucked having a vague ending that made you think about things and sparked discussions. I'm so excited to see a pile of characters I don't especially care about who weren't really the focus of the game riding off into the sunset instead. The completely out of left field change in tone from the previous 40 hours of gameplay is a nice touch.
Ah, there will not be DLC for Deathloop!
Yes there will!
@@pilot8220 Where did you ever see that?
@@yutro213 he didn’t.
@@MumboJumboZXC I did, dumazz

What on that damn shut golden loop update thing has to be explained pls hmmm?
You killed all and yourself, all are damn dead there is no morning but that stupid update from that drunken idiotics mean after a headshoot that is only a little headache or what.
And all are now more or less alive or zombies, old one was better, when even not so good.
Well that explains the "Mimic" from the prey. Why their forms look like Darkish goo as if though they're from the void or something 🧐
pretty sure that Prey is unlikely to be part of Dishonored and Deathoop. mostly bc Prey has President Kennedy and the USSR
What a snoozefest this game was
I've reported your video for having end-game spoilers in the title. Please don't do that.
