@@shelceygusek427 I know you're hinting at the fan theory that Dishonored is a prequel to Deathloop, but I was referring to the idea of Colt attempting to break out of the original loop he found himself in on the island.
One of the conversations with Julianna at the beginning of the mission she says she learned a some skill (I don’t remember what) after her first 134 years on the island. So I think thousands of years have passed in real time.
It was memory compression, a skill that allowed one to retain memories through hundreds of years. I would guess something low like 200-400 years, but something about the idea of this sudden leap into the future makes me want a continuation of the story just to see how the world has changed.
It could be millions of years. That could have been a time where they both lose their memory and have no way to pass on information they may have retained to each other.
The most probable ending must be you breaking the loop. That last meeting happened countless times, because Colt could not bring himself to kill Julianna or was still hoping to reverse time somehow. That's why the outside looks like an apocalyptic wasteland. The loop must have been going for countless years before it was finally broken.
I’m guessing Colt just keeps getting sick of the loop after agreeing to keep it going, wipes his memories and gets killed by Juliana to start it all over again
I think each of the endings are Canon it's just staying in the loop inevitably leads Colt to forgetting and eventually trying to break out of the loop again

Just finished it. I really enjoyed this game but the plot left MANY questions unanswered (or maybe I just didn't find the documents that answered them) 1) Why is Colt amnesiac? Did he erase his own memory? How? Why? 2) Why are Colt and Juliana the only ones who keep their memories from loop to loop? 3) Did the other visionaries KNOW they wouldn't be keeping their memories? Seems like a pretty massive oversight on their part (especially the scientists : Wenjie, Egor and Charlie) 4) If the reason everyone's trying to stop Colt from breaking the loop is because the outside world is an apocalyptic wasteland, WHY NOT JUST TELL HIM? 5) What happened to Juliana's mom? 6) Why would Colt NOT break the loop? It's established from the start that he finds the whole situation most unpleasant. So the "Stay" ending makes no sense to me, especially Colt's sudden change of attitude... like "Well, on second thought I guess living for eternity getting drunk with a bunch of rich assholes sounds like fun!".........
This is gonna be based on what I've already read/watched, so there's probably a video or post of it somewhere, but here it is for your (and whoever else's) convenience: 1. Cole eventually completely lost his memories after being killed so many times by Julianna and the Eternalists. 2. Cole was already stuck in a separate loop many years before the events of the game, so that's probably the main reason as to why he can retain memories. As for Julianna, she gained the ability to retain memories after being killed by Cole so many times. 3. I guess they didn't. Seems like they were just promised of a good time forever. Wenjie is somewhat aware but due to being unable to retain memories after each loop, she forgets. 4. I don't think anyone knows how the outside world is. Everyone just wants to stop Cole because they think he's going to ruin their good time. 5. She died from a disease at the age of 51. 6. This one's mostly up for interpretation. It could be that Cole understands the inevitability/value of being stuck in a loop forever, not aging, but also being able to retain anything he (and Julianna) learns about anything and everything.
@@gudoxiii THere is even more Weinje suspects that the Loop will have a glabally bad impact- there is a note in her lab on that - and she still decides to start the Loop. She also knows from the behaviour of Colt and Julianna that everyone forgets except C and J, and she is irritated, but still cannot find thew way to remember herself within one day. From what Julianna says to Colt, everyone used to remember everything, but at some point started to forget as their minds were overburdened - and everyones brains as self defense started to forget every day. It might have something to do with empathy actually! C and J retained some of it - keep in mind that 2BIT also retains his memory, but only a bit of that. It is said that part of brain responsible for empathy was used by Charlie to build 2BIT.
Man I didn’t get half of the story line while playing. Thanks for the explanation. I got the weird ending where I shot Juliana and then sat down in the chair and woke up back on the beach. I thought I was getting off this rock! So it was a bit of a downer when I realised this is just literally a death loop no matter what. It was fun though. I hope there’s a sequel with a more satisfying end. Thanks for this video.
Sounds like you just don't pay attention to anything. Probably rush through everything dont look around. You didn't even realize that there were multiple endings. Stick to call of duty man story games aren't for you
Honestly I believe this is the case. Most of the powers in the game are very close to the ones Corvo and Emily could use after taking the deal. I believe Aether, Havoc and Fugue are the only ones that didn’t appear in a previous game in some way. Even Julianna’s masquerade is used by Billie in DOTO.
I don't know if anyone here ever found out but it was confirmed by Bethesda that Deathloop was a sequel to Dishonored. There was even a leaked timeline of how the Death of the Outsider led to all these events.
I ended up putting almost 50 hours into this game, despite having no desire to play it, whatsoever, when I saw the gameplay. But I saw it for sale on the PS store for half price, so, I said "why not?",b and ended up loving it.
I knew this was coming so I finished my walkthrough series in time just so I can listen to you tell the story better than the game itself. Always top shelf stuff never disappoint 🙌🏽🙌🏽
What do you think the ending REALLY means? 00:00 Operation Horizon Begins! 2:00 What Colt Did Before DeathLoop 5:53 What Happens During Deathloop 8:20 Ending Explained!
They seemed to imply a few times in the game that whatever apocalyptic event that happened was something they saw coming. i think juliana says something about how the loop was made to ensure something of humanity would persist.
Spoilers A few missed details, a side quest details that a random Eternalist also manages to retain memories across the deathloop, same with 2-bit and Charlies brain that is stuck in there. Comments from Juliana imply Colt lost his memories before but made that choice to stay in the loop before. As for the state of the world in the "broken" ending, few characters including Colt in audio log say the aeon program was best hope for humanity. And that the rest of the world outside was an effective hellhole... given that Deathloop seems to take place in the Dishonored verse... that statement is very accurate if recall stuff from Dishonored.. Bloodflies as example were native to Serkonos with nothing really "special" about them.
That sidequest with Pick Rexly was included in another video. The comments from Julianna imply that he has stayed in THIS loop before, not the previous one. More importantly the prophecy in Dishonored suggests that magic has essentially run amok and that has led to this chaos.
Interesting how colt left himself messages to help him remember. The same thing happened with Morgan Yu in Prey with January and December. Another game made by Arkane about looping. I’ve heard people say Dishonored and Deathloop are connected. I agree with those but also think that Prey is as well.
every Colt that failed left a message to warn our Colt not to fail in their same way... that's why at the end Colt sees messages that tell him how to act in front of Julianna and what to do and not to do
I now want some dlc of the other visionaries being stuck in parallel loops with hunter and hunted shifting. sort of saying in every loop there is one who is lucid and can remember (Cole in canon.) and a guardian who can remember but is trapped in the dream (Juliana as well). heck it could be a monster acting as the person guard thing. the dlc could bring in new enemies like in different loops people acted differently like have enemy's use more powers or have unique gimmicks. and another I thought of is the next day. were every one thinks the ;loop is broken and wants to kill Cole for it. but like before don't remember they are looping. for changed enemies they could be arming up and changing to hunt Cole down. and now their is a new loop. maybe with some one else taking Juliana's place.
I just thought of a dlc where the roles of Colt and Juliana are reversed, and there's a whole new set of abilities to use. Or maybe you get to play as one of the other visionaries.
I like the ending where they keep looping and the idea they use the continued looping to try and get to the wife (on my first play through I killed the Julie and 360 off the platform ending the loop)
This was a really good video and spot on to what I pieced together by going through the game. It’s unfortunate that there are a lot of empty threads. Like why were the spies on the island? What was Juliannas job as an archivist really about? Was the erasing of the memories done intentionally? There is a bit of conversation between Juliana and Colt that makes it seem like it was done intentionally.
Only plot hole with the shift thing at the end is, colt broke the anomaly once and came back an it was still there, so breaking the loop doesnt remove the anomaly from the island the island itself is the magic. so it should still work. its setting up the loop that requires intervention from people like egor when colt returned. loved this otherwise was waiting for someone to piece this all together.
@@DarkIcarusXx5 I took it as to get out of the loop you need to break the loop. Escaping the loop would still need him or someone to break the loop to escape. I figured that's was the message the game was setting if I'm wrong then I interpreted wrong.
i think that prey links to deathloop as well. they could have been in the loop pass or until preys time. which would also explain why the sky is the way it is.
Well done Though the ending was sad, that was the right thing to do It's our aim from the start.. a defintive loop of repeates is sick, it's not healthy at all The Ion program had anomalies that caused this loop.. by the end of the day.. everyone lose his memories and the day starts again.. that really is sick, my worst nightmare Even if you wanna focus your aim to Juli, this ain't gonna work.. she will get sick of it.. she gotta have a life! We all (as charecters) were BROUGHT to the loop, it's a prison where they perform expirements, she even was probably born in the loop In addition, if I'm not mistaken everyone in the island was a prisoner before.. And.. all of the program makers are gone except the visionaries, which confirm that we were expirement rats.. I won't let my girl live in a word like that! A dlc expansion will fix everything, what happens after breaking the loop, she's young.. she has a future
Excellent video - thank you! It's impressive how much insight you have into this game. I am curious, where did all the non-comic style cutscenes come from (such as at 7:10). I have finished the game and never saw any like that.
I am confused about one thing. If colt wanted Julianna to remember, so he constantly killed her (and she later did to him) in order to have them keep their memories........then in theory if colt kept trying and killing the visonaries over the course of the game, wouldn't they start to remember? Or do you need to CONSISTENTLY do it for a ungodly amount of loops for it to stick? That could explain why some of the people act the way they do besides the 'thinking they are immortal and can do whatever they want' thing. Maybe all the times they are killed causes them to remember just barely and the memories of their deaths cause their psyches to warp as a result.
This doesn't really makes sense, though, since there are more than one person who keeps committing suicide during the First Day, and some of the Eternalists kill each other, every time. Examples being the guy who fires himself off a rocket, some guy who is mentioned jumping off a cliff, a guy who accidentally kills his friend while trying to use the poison gas as a drug, as well as Harriot's sacrifice in her morning rite. If dying over and over is what lets you remember, then it should be more widespread. There has to be another explanation, or at least an additional element to it, than just death itself.
@@hirschmeistr6842 Unfortunately, I don't think there is an answer. The name is just... Poorly written. Nothing seems to add up. My opinion of this story, much like the game itself, has soured substantially since its release.
Thanks for this video, really well done! One thing that doesn't tie up for me: why is the Rakyetoplan there if Colt already flew it into the anomaly way back?
The thing that I don't like about the story is that the big promise of the whole thing is infinite time and infinite knowledge. They don't get this because they are stuck in the loop but Colt and Julianna DO get it. They could easily fulfill the original awesome role by retaining knowledge and giving back to the others every morning to expand it, on the minimum working with Wenjie and figure it out.
Where do you get that scene with Juliana in 3:42? I just finished the game and don't recall ever meeting her face to face like in the video... Was that from a trailer or something?
ahh yes the ending wear the father and daughter proceed to murder each other for ever and ever so wholesome just messing around tho I got that ending too kinda regret my choice tho
I think the “Don’t break it ending” is more so him succumbing to delusions. He’s starting to think “hey if we’re working together now, maybe after some more loops she’ll change her mind”. Where the “break the loop” is more him accepting that he can’t get back to her and it’s time to move on. Just a thought. Thanks for a clear explanation though. 👌👍
I just finished this game an hour ago. After all the abuse I've suffered as Colt. All the times I've been hunted, murdered, condescended, and denied the basic truth by my own daughter I thought "You're no daughter of mine. EAT LEAD!!!" I blew her brains out with a sniper rifle, didn't even move close enough to trigger the conversation. She doesn't deserve to be heard out after all she's done to me. I then jumped off the side and got the good ending. I came here to break the loop and that's exactly what I did.
good video. the ending of the game seems a bit abrupt though to me. you said in the video "theyve been looping for a very long time, perhaps close to one hundred years" whats that number based on?
i think the reason she teleports away after she refuses to kill colt is because she isnt from this time at all and is forced to return to her original time when the anomaly ends, we also approach her in a room that removes all slabs so she couldnt possibly still have one on after the fact
Great summary. I enjoyed this story because it certainly makes you think through cause and the driver behind your decisions. And I agree - there are no “bad” endings here, as there are many Colts - there are many potential decisions those Colts could make that are right in their eyes.
I need dlc yesterday. Deathloop has me replaying all 3 dishonored games. I’m on 2 rn. I either wanna see what happens before, or I wanna see what happens/happened to pick. Arkane really always leaves me wanting more after I’m done playing.
I don't think that the powers of the slabs are tied to the anomaly - at least, not in that they can't be used outside the loop. In the Archives on Fristad, they say that 'Target Ghost'(Egor) used his slab before they even started first day. They also allude in some other places to slabs being used before the loop started.
Actually, Juliana DOES remember. In fact it's the very fact she and her dad are stuck in a perpetual life and death struggle, that they both remember. Because no two encounters are ever the same. We're explicitly told that forgetting happens after someone experiences too many loops. Juliana even says it's happened to Colt on a number of occasions, during which time she's especialy brutal to him, in order to break him out of it, and make him start remembering again. Without the murder struggle, they would be stuck in the no remembering situation as well. Also, I looked at those chairs, with wires and electronics and realized "oh, that's how they became visionaries" Also also, looking at the state of the world, it looks like they've been looping possibly for thousands, maybe millions of years.
This is all great stuff, and I've been waiting for more people to start discussing the story of this game because I was woefully disappointed by it. I don't know how much of this is educated guesswork or intended by the writers. Either way, I think this was a big failure in story telling. I loved playing the game, I got the Platinum trophy, and beat the game again on a fresh file. There's no reason I shouldn't have a firm grasp on whatever story they intended when I clearly turned over nearly every stone in the game. I doubt even the critics that gave this game a 10/10 have the level of understanding of the story, or theories that support the story that you do. These are all very interesting, compelling concepts throughout the game, seemingly dropped, or frustratingly obfuscated.
I think u just fell into the gameplay loop , or this is just not your type of storytelling , cuz not every game will be about a stupid hate cycle like TLOU2 for example.
I think that was just you pal. If you actually read the notes from the horizon bunkers (the game literally forces you to do it to unlock the RAK) then you had virtually all information contained in this video.
Do you know where are all the audios like aleksis in the raw or fia is full or franks origins , and if you do can you make a video about them, i only found colt, fia, aleksis, and frank
I mean, with this kind of story and the "strange anomaly" in the center of it, you can basically do whatever you want and tell whatever story you want to tell. But quite a bit doesn't make sense even with the rules they make up for this universe. First of all, when the loop is broken, why did the time "outside" the loop continue? I was under the impression that it's really just one day fixed in time that repeats (with a few characters keeping their memories). But since time has progressed with the same tempo the time has progressed in the loop, how does the interaction between loop and outside work? Similarly, there is a sense of progression in the game. I might got this wrong but all these games they dotted around the island and all the rituals imply that they've been doing this (knowingly) for a while. Did all of that happen before they actually started the loop? Many questions. Interesting story. But many questions.
I hope you mean thousands of centuries and not just 100 years for the planet to look like that. Cause I can’t think of any instance where the atmosphere would be that broken to have that kind of effect in the sky.
the fact that i have to watch a video after this game...ugh. And I really spent time reading alot of files and stuff, clearly there's ALOT of lil secrets i missed.
@@VideoGameSophistry Maybe its an ability that Colt has through his first time in the loop. She remembers because he wanted her to remember and included her unknowingly the ability and it wasn't the killing that did it. The others don't remember because he doesn't want them to.
No no, they talked about this once, saying there was some kind of experiment where julianna survived naturally but colt survived it by dumb luck or something, thus leading to their ability to remember.
Question: obviously if I don’t shoot Julianna at the end, it leaves me to keep looping indefinitely, essentially keep playing the game without losing my gear/progress. If I DO shoot her (to experience the ending U just talked about), can I somehow keep playing the game without losing my progress? Or is the only way to keep looping “post-game” is to not activate the final ending you showed??
maybe the reason she can shift once the loop is broken is because she was visited by the outsider. With time being so wonky it could happen. Its a stretch though for sure.
The day that is looping - is that the first day of all the Visionaries and the Eternalists on BlackReef? If it is, it doesn't look like so in the loop. All the visionaries seem to have an ongoing inter-connected life from the very beginning in morning. (i.e. they have lived in Blackreef, together, for quite some time, before this loop started.) But if they had life on Blackreef, before the loop, how is that possible? The loop started after some time and wasn't constantly ongoing thing forever?
Know what would have been cool if after this ending if if it showed colt being sent back to the very first time he looped to him waking up in been with Lila and with him saying Lila it worked and it just ends
I don't know if I got it right but from the conwersations of doctor Wengie with her other versions I heard that the loop lasted not 100 but 1000 years... It's kinda scary.
Right after Juliana teleported and colt said okay the game crashed I logged back in and it said I had to kill the visionaries again what do you get when you win

1) Why is Colt amnesiac? Did he erase his own memory? How? Why?
2) Why are Colt and Juliana the only ones who keep their memories from loop to loop?
3) Did the other visionaries KNOW they wouldn't be keeping their memories? Seems like a pretty massive oversight on their part (especially the scientists : Wenjie, Egor and Charlie)
4) If the reason everyone's trying to stop Colt from breaking the loop is because the outside world is an apocalyptic wasteland, WHY NOT JUST TELL HIM?
5) What happened to Juliana's mom?
6) Why would Colt NOT break the loop? It's established from the start that he finds the whole situation most unpleasant. So the "Stay" ending makes no sense to me,
especially Colt's sudden change of attitude... like "Well, on second thought I guess living for eternity getting drunk with a bunch of rich assholes sounds like fun!".........
This is gonna be based on what I've already read/watched, so there's probably a video or post of it somewhere, but here it is for your (and whoever else's) convenience:
You have to jump off the edge for the loop to end!
if you were to jump off the ledge you could break the loop for good
Yeah, sitting on a chair in the end is not really an ending. Just a fun little addition for a few extra lines.
Sounds like you just don't pay attention to anything. Probably rush through everything dont look around. You didn't even realize that there were multiple endings. Stick to call of duty man story games aren't for you
@@rushpatriot2866 Calm down buddy. It’s not that serious
I really liked the ending where you don't kill her Julianna its kind of heart warming in a disturbing way
No. It's a lie. And disturbing. I believe Juliana is crazy. Plus I would go crazy. I mean you would get bored after a time. It would be hell.
It’s not though it’s just a pale imitation of living a life that’s real
Like a blue pill matrix kind of heartwarming
Woah... imagine if the anomaly came to be as a wound in the fabric of the world when The Outsider was released/killed.
But I saw it for sale on the PS store for half price, so, I said "why not?",b and ended up loving it.
literally happened to me
Same thing happened to me - got a bit frustrated between the tutorial and the first slab but otherwise, I'm a big big fan.
remember what the heart said in the 1st dishonored that the void will eventually swallow up the real world what if that is what happened
I knew this was coming so I finished my walkthrough series in time just so I can listen to you tell the story better than the game itself. Always top shelf stuff never disappoint 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Glad you enjoy it!
@@VideoGameSophistry 😁😁
Did an amazing job explaining the lore and story! The game really has you hunting for all the pieces with no true conclusiveness towards the end
I read the 6 chairs as the chairs the other visionaries would have had to sit in initially to stabilize/attune themselves to the loop
What do you think the ending REALLY means?
00:00 Operation Horizon Begins!
2:00 What Colt Did Before DeathLoop
5:53 What Happens During Deathloop

It means you win
They seemed to imply a few times in the game that whatever apocalyptic event that happened was something they saw coming. i think juliana says something about how the loop was made to ensure something of humanity would persist.
WOW - thanks for this - really detailed summary of the lore - you’ve got a new subscriber!
Awesome, thank you!
This was wonderful! Thank you for taking the time to make this narration and hilarious product placement at the end
Spoilers
A few missed details, a side quest details that a random Eternalist also manages to retain memories across the deathloop, same with 2-bit and Charlies brain that is stuck in there.
Maybe Mimics are what happens when they use the Anomaly and fuck with it even further
every Colt that failed left a message to warn our Colt not to fail in their same way... that's why at the end Colt sees messages that tell him how to act in front of Julianna and what to do and not to do
I now want some dlc of the other visionaries being stuck in parallel loops with hunter and hunted shifting. sort of saying in every loop there is one who is lucid and can remember (Cole in canon.) and a guardian who can remember but is trapped in the dream (Juliana as well). heck it could be a monster acting as the person guard thing.
the dlc could bring in new enemies like in different loops people acted differently like have enemy's use more powers or have unique gimmicks. and another I thought of is the next day. were every one thinks the ;loop is broken and wants to kill Cole for it. but like before don't remember they are looping. for changed enemies they could be arming up and changing to hunt Cole down. and now their is a new loop. maybe with some one else taking Juliana's place.
Julianna at one point says that at 175yrs she developed a technique to compartmentalize and not go crazy... so yea
It's been well over 100 years
But she forgets right? So maybe she is completely out of her depth ya know?
Of course its more than 100 years, the sun is a red giant and the seas are gone. It has been millions of years
This was a really good video and spot on to what I pieced together by going through the game. It’s unfortunate that there are a lot of empty threads. Like why were the spies on the island? What was Juliannas job as an archivist really about? Was the erasing of the memories done intentionally? There is a bit of conversation between Juliana and Colt that makes it seem like it was done intentionally.
Very good and informative video 👍🏾
Glad it was helpful!
I just finished the entire game. How did I miss all of this.
was waiting for this video for a week, even dmed asking u when it is released, cant wait to watch itt
The lore of Deathloop deserves a film. That's cinema through and through.
I thought it said he "escaped" the loop before not that he "broke" the loop.
Well done
Though the ending was sad, that was the right thing to do
It's our aim from the start.. a defintive loop of repeates is sick, it's not healthy at all
The Ion program had anomalies that caused this loop.. by the end of the day.. everyone lose his memories and the day starts again.. that really is sick, my worst nightmare
Even if you wanna focus your aim to Juli, this ain't gonna work.. she will get sick of it.. she gotta have a life!
We all (as charecters) were BROUGHT to the loop, it's a prison where they perform expirements, she even was probably born in the loop
In addition, if I'm not mistaken everyone in the island was a prisoner before.. And.. all of the program makers are gone except the visionaries, which confirm that we were expirement rats..
Trailers my friend :)
@@VideoGameSophistry Thanks again, I must have missed those ones :-)
@@DrOmnivariety probably? All of those people die the same way each time, but Colt can kill Juliana in a thousand different ways
@@hirschmeistr6842 Unfortunately, I don't think there is an answer. The name is just... Poorly written. Nothing seems to add up. My opinion of this story, much like the game itself, has soured substantially since its release.
@ 12:52 "Don't let your balls be stuck in a deathloop"
You convinced me for getting manscaped!
I always knew it connected to the dishonored games. I love that it is.
Deathloop was such a unique game, loved it, thanks for this great explanation my man, 🙌
Where do you get that scene with Juliana in 3:42? I just finished the game and don't recall ever meeting her face to face like in the video... Was that from a trailer or something?
This channel doesn't miss 🔥❣
12:07 Julianna uses the force to return your beer😊
Great recap dude
Thank you so much for this
One of the notes in-game suggested that the loop could be maintained for 12,000 or so years at most.
After learning the fact that Julianna is Colt’s daughter, i just couldn’t pull the trigger in the end. I am happy with the ending i got.
ahh yes the ending wear the father and daughter proceed to murder each other for ever and ever so wholesome just messing around tho I got that ending too kinda regret my choice tho
EAT LEAD!!!"
I blew her brains out with a sniper rifle, didn't even move close enough to trigger the conversation.
Juliana said over 1000 or 10000 years passed in the loop, she said it like a joke at first, but it kept being mentioned after it was first said
i think the reason she teleports away after she refuses to kill colt is because she isnt from this time at all and is forced to return to her original time when the anomaly ends, we also approach her in a room that removes all slabs so she couldnt possibly still have one on after the fact
Colt was born in 1911, heh.
3:42 leaving this here for later but when did a scene like this between Colt and Julianna happen?
It’s the opening sequence when you select “protect the loop” and get to play as Julianna. It’s a scene between Julianna and Julianna.
Wenjie said the loop could only last for more 13k years
Such a great underrated game imo.
Great explanation of the events 👍 Love this game really got under my skin one of the best games I’ve played in years…
Julianna's reaction to you killing her then restarting the loop anyway is hilarious! She gets uber pissed at you! 🤣👍🏻
Thanks for the video. I couldn't get into the game, but wanted to know how the story played out
I love this game tbh
I don't think that the powers of the slabs are tied to the anomaly - at least, not in that they can't be used outside the loop. In the Archives on Fristad, they say that 'Target Ghost'(Egor) used his slab before they even started first day. They also allude in some other places to slabs being used before the loop started.
What if the pinprick in death of the outsider Is the anomaly, fuckin wild dude
I love this game and dishonored amazing games I definitely need more
Great recap. I hope there’s a sequel. I loved this game.
It was the pistols at the end that reallt made me think this could be the same world as dishonored
what if the anomoly in some way created the outsider in the first place
Actually, Juliana DOES remember. In fact it's the very fact she and her dad are stuck in a perpetual life and death struggle, that they both remember. Because no two encounters are ever the same. We're explicitly told that forgetting happens after someone experiences too many loops. Juliana even says it's happened to Colt on a number of occasions, during which time she's especialy brutal to him, in order to break him out of it, and make him start remembering again.
Without the murder struggle, they would be stuck in the no remembering situation as well.
Also, I looked at those chairs, with wires and electronics and realized "oh, that's how they became visionaries"
Also also, looking at the state of the world, it looks like they've been looping possibly for thousands, maybe millions of years.
sounds like a great idea for a movie
I think the chairs are actually the visionaries chairs
I think they ran out of money and time honestly. The rest of the game was so good, I’m sure they had big plans for the end.
@@Android480 nah i dont think so,
Sure i would have preferred a more "satisfying" ending but the Ending(s) definetly fit the game imo
@@Anon-te6uq I played the game thoroughly and you're just incorrect. Shut up.
imagine the weird sky is actually caused by preys aliens covering the whole planet in this coral thing
Cause I can’t think of any instance where the atmosphere would be that broken to have that kind of effect in the sky.
very good
the fact that i have to watch a video after this game...ugh. And I really spent time reading alot of files and stuff, clearly there's ALOT of lil secrets i missed.
I still don’t understand how she remembers. If death is what causes you to remember things, then shouldn’t all the visionaries remember things???
Good point! Although it's possible that the vionsaries weren't killed as often as Julianna.
@@VideoGameSophistry Maybe its an ability that Colt has through his first time in the loop. She remembers because he wanted her to remember and included her unknowingly the ability and it wasn't the killing that did it. The others don't remember because he doesn't want them to.
In one or the logs‚ didn't they say that she was born on the island?
No no, they talked about this once, saying there was some kind of experiment where julianna survived naturally but colt survived it by dumb luck or something, thus leading to their ability to remember.
Good video
100 years? wait wait what do you mean 3 hours?
It never did sit well with me, killing Frank. I think the man was in love with Colt.
I really hope they make a DLC for this like they did with Prey
Julianna mentioned 137 and a half years
"egor serling, a weathly failson" lmfao
Question: obviously if I don’t shoot Julianna at the end, it leaves me to keep looping indefinitely, essentially keep playing the game without losing my gear/progress. If I DO shoot her (to experience the ending U just talked about), can I somehow keep playing the game without losing my progress?
Or is the only way to keep looping “post-game” is to not activate the final ending you showed??
They put you back right before you started the day that kills everyone.
The different timelines of deathloop and dishonored could be confusing
maybe the reason she can shift once the loop is broken is because she was visited by the outsider. With time being so wonky it could happen. Its a stretch though for sure.
What if we get a deathloop sequel and we get to explore the world and find out what happened while we were looping
Why Julianna siad to colt that he always return to the loop after breaking it? did he escape the loop more than once or she mean the other colts?
The day that is looping - is that the first day of all the Visionaries and the Eternalists on BlackReef? If it is, it doesn't look like so in the loop. All the visionaries seem to have an ongoing inter-connected life from the very beginning in morning. (i.e. they have lived in Blackreef, together, for quite some time, before this loop started.) But if they had life on Blackreef, before the loop, how is that possible? The loop started after some time and wasn't constantly ongoing thing forever?
what happens when you just jump off the edge in the final room dont sit down dont shoot just walk off?
I’d assume the day would just reset since you’re killing yourself without having killed all visionaries
Know what would have been cool if after this ending if if it showed colt being sent back to the very first time he looped to him waking up in been with Lila and with him saying Lila it worked and it just ends
The oceans gone, the sky is red, they all dead. Breaking the loop is pointless
I don't know if I got it right but from the conwersations of doctor Wengie with her other versions I heard that the loop lasted not 100 but 1000 years...
It's kinda scary.
