For some context to this request: - The opening area track in the metroidvania Castlevania games are considered the main character's theme, so Abandoned Castle is the Devil Forgemaster Hector's theme. - The Netflix Castlevania series did Hector so dirty, especially given his story is the direct sequel to Castlevania 3 (the game they lossely adapted for Netflix series). - This track slaps and has never had any remix in any subsequent Castlevania game (to my recollection).
@@Аптекарь999 Like, i'd be fine if they wanted to go the route they did with him in season 2, but his arc should've been becoming the badass he was from his own game.
There has been a variation of it actually, I just can't remember which game it's in, I want to say Aria of Sorrow. I know I've heard another song with a very similar background theme.
Yo curse of darkness is overlooked, that game is great. The gba and ds castlevanias also have plenty of bangers. Successor of fate and dance of sadness come to mind.
@@Redblaze27 Weird take since Lament of Innocence did the same thing and is also a great game. This reeks blindness by nostalgia glasses, and hate to any transition into 3d. Sad.
Michiru Yamane's chord progressions are mind-blowing and defy expectations. They build tension, increase it further, and then offer a satisfying release. and its her unique way.
I believe the intention of one riff over another and that it seems that the energy of the song does not rest, but rises, it's perfect for the first episode of the videogame, Hector goes on a journey of revenge and his hatred, just like the rhythm of the song, doesn't diminish. God I love Castlevania music! Always on point
Very nice, Curse of Darkness may not be the best game ever but damn does it has a stellar soundtrack, songs like Baljhet Mountains, Mortvia Aqueduct, The Forest of Jigramunt, Cordova Town, Eneomaos Machine Tower, and my all time favorite by far, Garibaldi Temple, have been living rent free in my head for over 15 years. I don't think all of them are appropriate for a reaction on this channel, but definitely worth a listen in private.
The only CV games that don't have a solid soundtrack that rocks out are the Lords of Shadow games. Literally every platformer and Metroidvania in the series has a few bangers, most have mostly bangers. While I'd play CoD's OST on the low-tier of the CV franchise in terms of music, it's definitely still well above average and damn good.
I’ve been rocking the crust of darkness ost for the last month at work and by far the best tracks on it have to be Cordova town, abandoned castle, both of the standard boss battle soundtracks bang along with issacs boss music in Cordova called “nobleman of madness” and Trevor’s boss music as well. It’s hard to find a full length stage track on the album that wasn’t pretty lit.
@@thenonexistinghero i'd argue CoD ost is among the very best of the Castlevania series despite the fact that the game is clearly not the best (but enjoyable)
For some reason the opening of this song always reminded me of the X-Men Animated Series opening. Then the later parts sort of give me some Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence vibes from Dream Theater. And I love it. Castelvania was the one of the first series that I ever really got into, I've played pretty much every game in the series and I love them all to death for different reasons. I really enjoy the layering in this song, it's like when people say Rock Opera I always imagine songs like this are what they means.

This game was a real hidden gem. Trevor's heme from this is one of the greatest boss battle themes ever made. As soon as it starts up, you know shit is about to go down. *Edited because I wrote wrong Belmont by accident lol.
I love this game so much, I place it next to Dark Souls. It's not as high quality as DkS and it's kinda difficult to explain, but this combination of mechanics are something that work so well together and I wanted to see it expanded upon- it had so much potential. I think the 3D Castlevania games got dunked on because they were tied to the Castlevania name, and they were very different. Also sorry for the rant but I rarely get to talk about this game
@@VaktheFox Its not the diversity, but like 0% of Hector & Issac's actual characters made it into the adaptation. Issac is supposed to engetically flamboyant.
I just take it as its own thing. Most of the show is very different from the games anyway. Hector and Isaac are completely different characters in the show. Isaac doesn't retain anything from his videogame counterpart. I think this new Hector in the show is alright for what he is. And Isaac made it as one of my favourite characters.

In the game, Hector was so cool, and in the Netflix anime he was made a Rag.

CoD is, at least for me the best Castlevania OST. I am so lucky to have the original CD signed by Michiru Yamane, the composer
You need to hear Baljhet mountains,This music is FIRE!

Curse of Darkness's problem is it was being too strict an adaptation of the 2D Metroidvania into 3D.
Gives it some weird quirks.

This game's soundtrack has BANGERS. Many of the tunes in this soundtrack are even better than Symphony of the Night which is an accomplishment.
