The Everlast MX glove is the only glove in Everlast collection that is made in Mexico. From Canelo to Wilder to Maidana have used the Everlast Pro MX glove in fights. Both are great and have tried both. Some say Everlast damaged there brand with the low end gloves. But not all of us are born with a money tree, Everlast caters to all kids, teens, amatuers who dont really require the best gear especially starting. I actually praise them for this.

And I have been a big fan of their protex3 GREY CUFF gloves for years (here we can get them for £42) bargain!
I really like the MX and powerlock (although I have had more negative comments about powerlocks durability than any other glove on the channel)
But your point is a fair one not everyone has the cash to buy to top end gear,

Vegan Demon I love the mx Everlast. The hand compartment is more comfortable then the Reyes hand compartment. I like both over grant. I had a pair of the stock black and red grants and the liner was more of a canvas. Very scratchy. Of the punchers gloves I’d take the mx or Reyes over grant any day especially considering price. I paid less for an entire custom set of winning gear then it would have been for custom grant gloves

Which do you prefer? They jacked up the price over 200 bucks for the MX. for what it is they seem overpriced.
The pro range gloves are totally different from the training gloves

The cleto gloves hurt at first but I put gauze on my knuckle and hand wraps they are amazing after a while of use

Ja ka yeah and it depends which ones you get too. I have a pair of everlast that came with a heavy bag and they are a piece of shit. But obviously the everlast mx are better and more expensive
Ja ka I actually felt that way about everlast for a long time but their quality has improved so much!! There professional power lock gloves are great and their MX gloves are amazing, very similar leather to Cleto Reyes but way better padding than the Reyes.

agree with this ..the cleto reyes is the better glove...i wear my gloves out quickly ..thumb goes first i have long thumb..then knuckle splits...after about 2 years bagwork. on 8 or 10 oz gloves. for me and gloves..for bag ..durability is the only point...you make a glove that is right size and weight and lasts forever and i WILL BUY IT....the reyes is the closest thing to that ..plus i sweat a lot in hands ..and this wrecks the foam quicker...that needs to be accounted for ..you need bloody good foam to take all the salty sweat over a few years.

Yeah I remember hearing that Britain's boxing commissions deemed the Everlast MX gloves as not having enough knuckle padding.
It's the same glove involved in the Mayweather/Maidana controversy. Floyd tried on the Everlast MX gloves himself, and was displeased. Maidana ended up having to wear the standard Everlast Powerlock fight gloves.
And then there's the Cotto/Mayweather fight. Cotto used MX.. look at Floyd's face in that fight lol.
Based on reviews I've seen, the Everlast MX pro fight gloves are "even more of a puncher's glove" than the Cleto Reyes fight gloves.

Art of Peek-a-Boo style I had a pair of Casanova's, great colors but no the inside not so much, they left glue dry with the inside so I got bloody knuckles, if you want mexican gloves ay a good price search for Zepol and for me a brand called New Sporting is even better almost as good as Reyes (but Reyes without a doubt are superior)
Héctor Ramírez Zepol have changed to Gil now since the passing of Zepol. His brother-in-law who use to run the tailoring shop is still making gloves but they are Gil now. I got a pair of Gils not too long ago. I just recently used them for the first time last week. Have only used them once and I liked them so far. Some paint on the leather has rubbed off though on the area that hits the bag but I have seen that issue with other gloves that have white dye on the leather. I was able to get these gloves through this guy from Mexico that I found online and can get various Mexican brand gloves that he can sell and ship to you. I had my gloves custom made to my color liking and my nickname embroidered on them.
Did anyone have thumb issue? , I felt like the cushions wasn't on the tip or not enough like I could feel my thumb nail popping out of the leather

Ive owned a pair of cletos for 4 years and have taken horrible care of them but they still hold up. I Ordered some everlast mxs 'cuz they were half off now im anxiously awaiting them. finna see if theyll last

I Mean when do we say "oh this is a mexican style glove!" ? how to seperate from others... in my mind a mexican style glove is a glove that is does NOT use hook and loop system and use stiches and cords to close. sorry for my english and thanks for your time reading my question. Mexican style is more to do with the knuckle area than the wrist
Some gloves are rounded in the knuckle area with extra padding
Mexican gloves like Reyes knuckle area are flatter squarer and the padding is more compacted

Gave away my reyes, very slim fit on the palm and back hand, to much give on bags n pads left my hands swollen n hurting.

Would you say the MX or Reyes gloves would be better for small wrists, or should I opt for the Powerlocks? I picked up the Everlast MX yesterday for 110$. I'm only 17 and 130 pounds making me very skinny. I've had a lot of gloves such as rival classic sparring gloves at 14oz and most of them are too bulky for my size and preference. However when I tried 12 oz gloves they had too little padding.
Reyes got more wrist support in my opinion. I got both
i have both in 12oz mx lace and reyes velcro there is few difrinces like lingth of the fingers end in mx is short and the handle bar is huge and more up and the padding is soft u should use extra padding if u use heavy bur reyes the best comfort gloves to use for training on heavy bag u dont have to use extra padding only normal padding i mean in the wrap but mx u must my rival rb2 the strongest padding i dont use hand wraps on the heavy bage only wrist support u will not feel eny thing 8 oz gloves but mx has more room inside gloves not like reyes tight and the hand bar is normal in the midd and the fingers linghth is nice thats my opnion and mx if u want to hit u must squez but the reyes no ur hand already like fist in side the gloves i dont know alot of boxing but this what i note on both

Everlast Mx all day everyday. CR don’t weight what there labeled as. I have 16 oz CR and 20 oz EL Mx. the CR feel atleast 2 oz heavier.

Aren't you forgetting the most important round ? What material is inside these gloves ? Horse hair in MX is why Maidana and Canelo use it, it is less padding and horse hair material which makes it a very good punchers glove.

Anyone, how is the padding of cleto reyes? When you punch a dense heavy bag with full force, does it hurt a bit in the knuckle? I heard that your knuckles tend to cut throught the padding and hit the heavy bag, then the latex retracts. Meaning if youre protecting your knuckles, reyes is not good?
I’ve never experienced that with Reyes I’ve always found them good on the bags

Anything for boxing made in Mexico is top notch, go with Reyes, Everlast is garbage.
The Everlast MX glove is actually the only glove in the Everlast collection made in Mexico. Do your research or go back to bodybuilding kid.
Update: Reyes is now garbage due to recent quality control issues with their gloves. I would have agreed with you two yeara ago though.

A 10oz fight glove is less padded and more compact

The everlast Mx was a glove I really liked the glove is obviously based on the Reyes glove and they have made a good attempt to copy what Reyes have done
As I acknowledge in the video
Some of the rounds were very close
And I leaned towards the Reyes in those tight rounds
Brand Style are individual to people’s tastes I preferred the Reyes
Reyes also has
Great padding and support on the wrists
stitching better great craftsmanship quality/durability these gloves have beautiful leather and are super durable
performance they just feel better they use the softer leather and get better the more you use them
The points actually was quite wide because the Reyes just shaded the mx in quite a few rounds
So in those rounds the mx wasn’t dominated but I just felt the Reyes had the edge in most departments
