Great job. It's always good to have a few card tricks up your sleeve in which the way you reveal the chosen card is a little bit different and showy, and this one fits the bill perfectly. Simple to do, but a big impact.
Actually you should do card tricks all the time since you can be a pain in the butt by making us watch you make illusions instead of skipping to how they're done. I still wanna know how that one where you had a box and were threading with a rope and was making weird things happen works please. The same goes for the obelisks illusion. The only thing I can think of there is that you had extra covers for the obelisks hidden in the covers.
