I remember listening to this band in 2007; weekly free downloads on a certain website. The song was tre'aste and it was the most powerful and raw song I had ever heard. Unbelievable band with a lot of talent. The beautiful melodies, the unmatchable vocals, the chills I receive when the piano is incorporated into the song. This is most certainly the best band out there. It annoys me that they're not as popular as they should be, they deserve more recognition especially when they've produced this quality of music. I can't recommend them highly enough, they're simply incredible. Hailing from the other side of the world, England. \m/
+belakorband Please do. Terry is speaking the truth. Norwich would love to have you ;) Saying that, id drive the length of the country for you guys. \m/
In my top 10 favorite metal songs of all time. Such a banger. A friend got me into this band. Hes sadly no longer with us, but may he be at peace and rocking out in the life hereafter
In the space of one night's darkness They have gathered, somehow drawn To where sand and water meet To the place where nature mourns An army of one thousand souls Moved not by force of law But by an end of which they dreamt Returns to wade once more In the shallows, but a prelude To the greatest icy depths Where neither shape nor shadow Can persist in one who's stepped Their unseeing eyes surveying Darkened scenes within their minds Now blissful, soon will falter Laying bare what now it hides Once submerged they may awaken Briefly grasping moonlit skies But a crescent moon accompaniment Merely ushers in the tide Beneath horizons megalithic Rays of light's first wonder Shall reveal an ashen shoreline strewn With the prints of those pulled under
Extremely detailed in everything, layers and layers of chimeric and chilling atmosphere, outstanding heart-aching riffs full of tension that will make me long to listen to again and again, strongly accurate vocal with that perfect emphatic tone at the end of some verses translating the wrath of a blade and the despair of its prey, and all of that sounding so fresh and unique won me over, setting my world instantly back into the foggy darkness where the shadows have been forever clashing, and has placed Be'lakor easily at the very top of my favorite bands of all time.
this was first song I've ever heard from Be'lakor few years ago,and can't stop listening from time to time to this day...after I checked other songs of this album, and become the biggest fan..and after two more albums I can say that this is the best band in existence for sure, every single song is masterpiece..I hope they will never lose their way or stop making such a incredible music
belakorband Guys, you are maestros! Amazing && gorgeous && epic music filled with passion and energy. As a person who studies music and loves it ---your tunes are STUNNING! Bravo. Vsevolod
This band is definitely one of the best melodic death metal bands I've ever heard but is sad that not too many people listen to this amazing band because they don't listen another thing besides Metallica,Slayer etc.I am not saying those bands suck, I really enjoy those bands as well I got nothing against them, its just that there are so many amazing bands out there around the world like Be'lakor that makes such an amazing work on every album they make and not everybody gets to enjoy this. This is just my personal opinion it was not meant to insult anybody. And Lastly, Horns Up for Be'lakor
When youtube was fairly new i was just into metal music and following metal music channels i remember two songs just new released. One was this song and the other was through darkness band. It was a good time me meeting belakor for first time in 2009 ı ordered their second album stone's reach and fell in love. Now they're my deadly trio belakor dark tranquility and insomnium 🎉❤🤘
there are no words to describe it completely, but the melodies and everything about it give me the chills... it's been a long while since i have felt that, this is truly a work of art, out of most of the melodic death bands i have heard of and listened to, Be'lakor is definitely one of my absolute favorites. keep up the amazing work guys!
I think it tells a lot about their songwriting capability that so many people have different opinions which part is the best :) My favourite part 3:27-4:03 but of course that doesn't work on its own but needs the build-up. All in all, I love it!
This song just tore out my heart and spine with it, and left them writhing on the floor. That's the best wounding from any music I've taken for years. Just unbelievably good! ....thanks!
In the space of one night's darkness They have gathered, somehow drawn To where sand and water meet To the place where nature mourns An army of one thousand souls Moved not by a force of law But by an end of which they dreamt Returns to wade once more In the shallows, but a prelude To the greatest icy depths Where neither shape nor shadow Can persist in one who's stepped Their unseeing eyes surveying Darkened scenes within their minds Now blissful, soon will falter Laying bare what it hides Once submerged they may awaken Briefly grasping moonlit skies But a crescent moon accompaniment That merely ushers in the tide Beneath horizons megalithic Rays of light's first wonder Shall reveal an ashen shoreline strewn With the prints of those pulled under The prints of those pulled under
Never encountered band that I would love every bloody song they released, except Be'lakor. I am so glad that I had opportunity to listen to this fantastic band. You really are the best.
I listened this album every day for a whole year on my way home... so relaxing... as I hear the intro now, I feel my addiction is recurrencing. Love the new album as well!
I'm considering resetting my router every few hours so I can boost this video View Rate. It deserves so much more recognition. Truly a piece of art! Listened to all your work, you write great music, I wish the greatest future for you!
So after years of loving Stones Reach and Of Breathe and Bone I have returned to listen to the album I never gave enough credit. The last song on the album is pure genius and I play it a lot but as for the rest? I honestly don’t remember this album at all. Time to atone for my failure.
this band cracks me up... I heard some of their music before I "saw" them on here, and they do not "look" the way they sound ! and yes, I do like their sound>
i like the whole song, like no i fucking love it, i love how it all breaks loose at 2:23, an army of a thousand souls... with that amazing riff , fuck this band is sooo gooooooooooooooooodddd
Any chance y'all could come to Hong Kong and play at Hidden Agenda? You've got plenty of fans here :D Could take Orpheus Omega with you. Remember to be super on top of your visas if you do, immigration isn't kind to foreign bands.
I don't think this band has one bad song. My favorite melodeath band.
You have good taste
Definitely my favorite melodeath band as well.
so proud to live in the same city as these guys
Yes!!!!!! You are so right

- How many riffs can we fit in one song?

You can say that the whole band is already a classic
You can play this at my "fake" funeral. GODSPEED
I Warned you all

In my top 10 favorite metal songs of all time. Such a banger. A friend got me into this band. Hes sadly no longer with us, but may he be at peace and rocking out in the life hereafter
So many people is losing the chance of listening to such a master piece
In the space of one night's darkness
They have gathered, somehow drawn
To where sand and water meet
To the place where nature mourns
An army of one thousand souls
Moved not by force of law
But by an end of which they dreamt
Returns to wade once more

I love this song! Thank you for taking your time and typing up the lyrics
Thanks for the lyrics! Also i just realized this might be Lovecraftian song :D

Not even a contest; greatest metal band of all time.
people skip this album cuz it's old but it's great start to finish
2007 not old
Why would anyone skip their greatest album?

I still didn't get tired of listening Be'lakor after 4 years !
Belakor is best bend in existence, unique in melodic death genre
This band is definitely one of the best melodic death metal bands I've ever heard but is sad that not too many people listen to this amazing band because they don't listen another thing besides Metallica,Slayer etc.I am not saying those bands suck, I really enjoy those bands as well I got nothing against them, its just that there are so many amazing bands out there around the world like Be'lakor that makes such an amazing work on every album they make and not everybody gets to enjoy this. Yes!
You're so right man.
That's exactly how I think about it.
You really need much apprecieation for metal to listen to Be'lakor and love it. \m/
More musical variation in this song than there are life forms on this planet.
That riff at 3:08 is so dramatic it brings me close to tears
There is nothing about this song that could be labeled less than 'perfect'. ♥
Be'lakor, Ne Obliviscaris and Psycroptic and the best modern Australian metal bands out there. Amazing music
Shadow Of Silence The world takes notice... all these bands are playing the European metal fest circuit this year, and I am very happy about it!
An entrance of a song cannot be this good...
This song and Fraught have 10/10 intros.
I have never heard any bad song of Be'lakor, in addition that's outstanding.

no problem guys, keep up the epic work :)
Neither shape nor Shadow will ever walk in my footsteps
The first song of the first album. I can barely hold my tears.
I think it tells a lot about their songwriting capability that so many people have different opinions which part is the best :) My favourite part 3:27-4:03 but of course that doesn't work on its own but needs the build-up. All in all, I love it!
The best Be'lakor 👍
What a band, superb! What amazes me as well it is the fact that each song consists of three songs in itself at least. So layered.....
This song just tore out my heart and spine with it, and left them writhing on the floor. That's the best wounding from any music I've taken for years. Just unbelievably good! ....thanks!

A veritable masterpiece of a song! And to think at their age at that time. A truly talented bunch!
I listened this album every day for a whole year on my way home... so relaxing... as I hear the intro now, I feel my addiction is recurrencing. Love the new album as well!

Never heard a death metal band so complicate and raffinate
