Happy FS100 owner here. I found one locally New Old Stock (open box) in a pro camera shop in 2019. Seriously addicted to all kinds of vintage lenses. I also use it for interviews and gear review videos. Love it!
Love it thank you for the info. Dude please dont stop making these videos. Its just we have to get creative when we are broke trying to put out content.
@@Vidyograf One question: Which is the flattest picture profile you can make in order to get the best Da Vinci Resolve color post production result? Thanks
How would you rate this camera compared to mid range mirrorless like the a6300 for a lower average price on the used market? Same sensor size, both support picture profiles with manual tuning. Also the a6300 has a better codec with higher bitrate and 120 fps in 1080p. Sure, the FS100 has XLR inputs and more button. But in terms of IQ?
just got one for $325! I was worried for a second it must not be as good as I originally thought because of the price point. Thanks for reassuring it was a good decision with your video!
it has a function, if you want to crop the image in post. for example when you want to add CGI. but other than that, I like Super 35 image size better.
@@boahandarrowsproductions4326 To be frank, i`d love to have another Sigma art instead. The sigma 18-35 1,8 is pure gold. I only use the Tamron 28-75 for interviews.
I have canon lenses, kit lens, 70mm to 300mm 3.5, 50mm, 24 pancake lense, I can't get the zoom or focus to work manually or auto. What adapter do I need. Need help
Damn, I can not find it from within europe for less than about 10x the price (from 3 k to 6 k - used) and not to mention taxes if ordering from outside Eu ... :( if any1 has any advice on where to look, Thx
I've had one for years as part of my old school package but I didn't finish the last year of school and I'm struggling to figure out how to operate this thing and get the most out of it. I now there's a way to do slow-mo shots but I can't even find the manual anymore. I also struggle to get the video files into any editing program. I like the quality of image but it made the whole experience so frustrating and I haven't been interest in doing video work ever since. Any advice? I'm tempted to get a different, more user friendly one but I know this one has so much potential.
It's not fantastic like Sony's newer mirrorless cameras, but it gets the job done. Low light capability is the one thing I wasn't super impressed with.
@@johnmackey5150 yes. put some vintage glass on there, and you have to use an ND filter because there's too much light coming in. Shot amazing night videos with a Porst (Tomioka) 100mm F2.5. These are like from a movie, straight out of camera.

Still a great camera. I still earn money from it. When you don’t need 4K it gives great results.
Same here 👍🏻 btw. do you know the flattest or best built in picture profile in fs100 so that I could match colors with a7iii in post ?

You can shoot 4k with external recorder over SDI as i remember

Where’d you find it for $325 they go for $700-1300 on eBay

Hi, thanks for the video.
Is fs100/fs700 good for commercial content?
Should i get this one or the sony AX 700? Its biut the same price 😅
Thanks for your video and just a question that how about the auto focus thanks again!
Can you do some sample footage?
I put some sample footage in my video “I bought the cheapest cinema camera on the internet”. Sadly I don’t have the camera anymore

Hi! Thank you for video. You said about possibility to use different lenses on e-mount. How can I do it? Thank you!
Will the Fs100 take any of the apc mount lenses without an adapter?
Yep it will take any Sony APSC lens.
Honestly I still can’t stand 4K cinema. Anything more than 1080p has always felt like an over-sharpened Photoshop image. This camera is amazing!
it has a function, if you want to crop the image in post. for example when you want to add CGI.

Good vid, what size sensor is it? I saw 35mm equivelant, does that mean full frame? Thanks, still learning here. 🙏🏼
It is not. Super 35mm. a cinema equivalent, something like a 1.5 crop sensor.
Nice, I definitely like mine. What lens are you rocking on it?
The footage was shot with the Canon FD 50mm f/1.4
