This is a great video, thank you. I just got the 503CU-GR green dot. They really are as awesome as I thought. The circle reticle helps with my astigmatism and I can see green better. Highly recommended for anyone watching these videos having starbust/blur problems.
HUGE fan of Holosun. I have several models, prefer the 503GL but recently picked up some 503GUs on sale. Same as this one minus the solar option. I prefer the non solar because the battery is easier to change. This is also the only reason I have not picked up a 510C yet. Another nice feature of the dual reticles is where the emitter is. In these models they are at the 9 o'clock versus the 4 in the standard dot models. For cowtiness mounts, not a big deal but on lower 1/3 like the Larue, the emitter is so big it obscures the sight picture when using irons. Nice review!

We are in the midst of putting together my Ruger PC 9 and was wondering if I should go with the Holosun HE 503CU or the HS 512C. Thank you again for your great reviews. I am waiting on mine to arrive, but I have a quick question - the default long mount on an AR standard rail, does it absolutely co-witness the irons or does it co-witness in the lower third instead? Do I need a riser plate to achieve lower third co-witness?
The red dot only works in manual mode correct? When I’m in auto mode pressing the - for 3 seconds does nothing. If I’m in manual it will allow me to toggle between the reticles.
Tbh i leave mine in manual because if the panel is in the dark and your target is in the light, it will not know your target is in the light, just that the optic is in the dark, so it will be to dim.
I just wish Holosun wouldn’t plaster their logo in white letters all over their products. It just makes them look cheap. You don’t see that in Aimpoint or Trijicon sights.

Love these optics have a few Sig has the same stuff but for $100 more because it says sig on it well done holosun for keeping the price affordable

It’s 10k on manual. Manual mode the cell doesn’t turn on until the battery is dead. The auto off and solar is what provides that 20-40k

I have the 403c and the 515cm. I can't imagine an aimpoint being any better than my 515cm. Yes it says made in China but good kit is good kit.

Out of the box with the standard Holosun mount, the optic will be in lower 1/3 height.

Have a red reflection through the optic on the right side. Is this normal?

I bought this optic and installed battery (negative up) but the red dot won't come on! What am I doing wrong??

The HS515C has lens caps that open and close do you know if these lens caps are removable?
Rogue Five they are removable. You are able unthread them off the optic.
