I'll never get tired seeing powerful people, especially the kind that have never had an upper hand. Congrats. You have changed your life and the lives of those around you at home.

That’s the same strategy me and wife did during the forbearance period from 2020 to 2022, paid off two credit cards, one undergrad student , one grad school loan forgiven, one personal loan a little over $140k collectively. 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫
Still got the mortgage, another grad school loan, car note and one last personal loan left.
Debt is evil, but we are on our way towards financial freedom 🙏🏾

    Loved this sesh!
We have a similar journey. 2020 was crazy but kick started is to paying off about the same amount within 2-2.5 years. We were scheduled for a debt, free scream on Dave Ramsey but had to cancel for logistical reasons. My 2004 rusted mini van runs great. Looks bad but runs great lol I love having no debt so much. It’s becoming a problem to spend money but one thing I refused to spend money on right now is a new or used vehicle when this one runs just fine with only 150k miles on it.

My biggest hang up is figuring out how much to keep for emergencies opposed to paying off debt.

We always tell people to people to keep at least one month worth of expenses in your emergency while you are in day payoff mode.
