God when this played... It was like the turning point for the expansion, it went from a fun expansion, to the most human and emotional story The sorrow is palpable through the very notes that play
i didnt expect mortality, the pain of loss, and the need to be able to let go and move on when the time comes to be themes for dawntrail when we just had "hope in the face of existential despair and nihilism: the expansion", but you absolutely wont hear me complaining
I should have known the Summer Funtime Adventure in Tural would turn the moment I heard the dungeon endboss theme. I should have. I should have known Summer Funtime Adventure in Tural would turn when Bakool Ja Ja told us how Blessed Siblings come to be and the cost it has to the people of Mamook. I really should have. Skydeep was close, it certainly should have been the turning point. For me, that was Heritage Found. The sudden, irreversible loss that it represents after the absolute hype that was In Fulgur and Fire (Vanguard) making me feel like a hero finally doing what heroes do: breaking through the enemy to save people on the other side. I didn't get to. Skydeep warned me things would turn, and I still was not ready.
@@TransientWitch that was absolutely chilling. What we found on the other side of the wall. I remember quitting for the night just after that dungeon, and I was scared to start up again the next day haha
i like how they used this track for the cutscene before the level 99 trial, because as different as his circumstance was, his complexes and madness were just as closely tied to the idea of "blessed births" as this dungeon was. placing massive expectations on someone simply for the way they were born never ends well for anyone involved, even if the only one holding them to that standard is themself.
Seriously, I love how they used this tune in cutscenes. The parallel you drew here was so cool, I didn't make that connection! The whole 99 trial was wild, like you can tell what's been going through his head and it made me wish we could have helped him somehow, even though it's way too late by that point.
This track is such a great example of what the FFXIV soundtrack does so well with its use of motifs (I thinfk thays the right term), we hear it in the zone music during the day in the happy sung melody, a more chilled but still happy version during the night version and the sad, emotive version in the dungeon music.
I'm not crying!! You're crying!! Absolutely phenomenal sound in this one, great math rock/Intervals feel (please accept this as very high praise). Was discussing with a friend how EVERYTHING music-wise in DT is overwhelmingly good and I am SO pleased we have such absurdly talented members of the community here to make content like this and constantly remind Soken how much he and his work are adored AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I know Dawntrail isn't perfect, but nothing is. Just like Bakool Ja Ja, it's not defined by its flaws, but by what's hiding deep beneath it. This moment was Dawntrail's Amaurot, its Elpis, the moment in Heavensward when we found out what really started the Dragonsong War. It was the point where the story pivoted towards something more meaningful. I feel like people miss moments like this when they judge the expansions in this game.
What started the dragonsong war? I played that expansion back in 2016 and reading this comment sparked a memory. Was it the knights of the round or their ancestors? The pope like dude in the Vault. I dont know man to be honest i was thinking about playing the whole story again just to relieve and understand it all once more. I barely finished dawntrail yesterday. Defeated Queen Sphene and today i did the patch 7.1 msq quests. I dont want to be left behind anymore this is a great game!
Ahhh the choice of traditional guitar on this gives it so much emotion 💜 This one really caught me off guard in game but it left such a mark during the play thought it was instantly memorable. Great cover as always!
What an amazing intro. Then the melody drops in, and I smile 🙂. Love the blend of the electric and acoustics for the melody. Proper banging tune Husky!
I knew I had to listen to your cover after I heard the original track for the first time!!! I'm so happy that you covered this 🤍🤍🤍 The amount of mixed emotions I felt running through it the first time was so intense and I got to experience it in a different way thanks to your rendition. Thank you for always creating amazing music!!! 💝
I always say that I wouldn't be surprised by what Soken brings us because he always delivers, but man does that guy knock it out of the park, and then we get an amazing arrangement from Husky and then it's double the treat! Keep up the amazing work!
oh my god thank you so much for covering this im absolutely in love.. this is my favorite song from the expac and now this is one of my favorite covers of yours
BA. KOOL. JA. JA. This song is, hands down, my favourite song in Dawntrail. It carries sadness for lives lost, yet amazement and wonder in what lies hidden in the deep. The story arc for Bakool Ja Ja is also one of my favourite arcs in DT. I see this song as much about Bakool Ja Ja as anything else this song is about. To me, this is Bakool Ja Ja's theme.
@@Jontman42 Oh, don't get me wrong. We know he did wrong. As Wuk Lamat said, he still needs to be punished. But that's sort of the point of his story: that people can do bad things in the name of what they feel is a good goal.
super emotional track and i love that i get to hear a husky cover of it it's one of the strong ones of the expac, definitely tugs at the heart when it plays 1:45 is brutal 😭
Watching the bass parts and going “how the hell am i gonna play this with my current skill level” LMAO excellent work, Husky! thank you for delivering once again 🙏🏻
Absolutely my favourite, most standout piece this expansion for sure. It is the biggest moment in Dawntrail for me. The story revelations going on with this playing had a real 'transcendence' moment to it, incredible.
I've been aching to hear your take on this since I first heard it. It's my favorite dungeon piece this expansion and you have delivered beautifully on taking such a soft tone and making it a another Husky banger
Due to FF16 raising my CBUIII music standards irrationally high, I was getting bored of DT music... until The Skydeep Cenote came along. Your cover emphasizes the bits about the song that I love! The tempo, for one, is my favorite tempo, and making it rock just hits my preferences all too well. It kinda has the same tempo as Close in the Distance Primals version. The drums in the last before it loops back kinda reminds me of some of Sawano's music from the early 2010s. Lovely stuff!
Excellent work on one of the tracks that doesn't necessary scream Rock in your face like some of the other tracks do. Has me even more interested in seeing what you do with the Shaaloani day theme!
The first time I heard this theme, I couldn't help but think that it sounded very similar to David Wise's work (Donkey Kong Country composer), which made me love it even more
the main part makes me think of coheed and cambria's "we all go up in flames" and that makes my heart happy. But drives my brain wild because its not that song lol So beautiful though
Where are my Bakool Ja Ja fans ?
o/ reporting for duty
Represent!~
This song is even Bakooler Ja Ja!
Bakool ja ja won
i have been summoned! 😂

Absolutely the turning point. This song is just incredible in how it captures two completely different ranges of emotion simultaneously.
all being weighed down on Bakool Jaja's shoulders. A burden and sorrow as deep as the sky.

Such an amazing musical duology. The hope of finding the Golden City...paired with a piercing, endless feeling of loss and sorrow.
this one goes for Bakooljaja's Babygirl, you a real one

This is the song, THE SONG, I will remember most from the MSQ. It hit just right.
Literally one of the best parts of a new expac is waiting for your covers
Now I'm trying to figure out 'which one'? 😀
@@Nimoot not sure what you mean. Any of them?
I’m Japanese FF14 player and a little bit play bass.I looking forward your cover every time . I want you cover Arcadian 4th boss BGM!!

Easily one of my favorite tracks from Dawntrail. Amazing cover as always!

Absolitely stunning! Especially that part at 2:38, the two tones, almost like two heads at harmony, yet distinctly indivuduals.

This piece of music had the biggest impact on me throughout the whole MSQ. I absolutely adore this track, and I love your cover of it.
This song had me all emotional in game.. this got me all in my feelings
Ahhh the choice of traditional guitar on this gives it so much emotion 💜 This one really caught me off guard in game but it left such a mark during the play thought it was instantly memorable. Great cover as always!
Niiiice Husky, chalk another great rendition on the board. The acoustic guitar was perfect.
This was the song I was most excited to hear you cover from DT and you did not disappoint. Fantastic job!
wow you did my two absolute favourites first, 95 and 97 dungeon. couldnt have imagined a more beautiful cover
I wasn't expecting you to pick this track next, but I"m so happy you did, I loved this one it was like very somber and mysterious
From dungeon theme to power ballad.
I just finished this area and you released this song, i love everything about Yak T'el, thank you for your music
I love the original track, and this enhances it so well. Amazing arrangement as usual, Husky!
30 seconds in and my good friend and I were already choking back tears. Tres magnifique, Husky! ❤
What an amazing intro. Then the melody drops in, and I smile 🙂. Love the blend of the electric and acoustics for the melody. Proper banging tune Husky!
how come this channel is not up to 1 million followers already ???
Cmon RUclips make that algorithm work.
Love your work! 🥰 One of the best parts of playing FFXIV and gaming in general are artists like you in the community!
I knew I had to listen to your cover after I heard the original track for the first time!!! I'm so happy that you covered this 🤍🤍🤍
The amount of mixed emotions I felt running through it the first time was so intense and I got to experience it in a different way thanks to your rendition. Thank you for always creating amazing music!!! 💝
wonderful
This was one of my top favourites for the expansion. So to hear your version is a blessing. Thank you!
Yooooo 1:28 goes haaarrrrrddddd!!! was humming throughout this Dungeon, Dope job Husky!!
Using this as the battle theme for a dungeon in my next D&D campaign!
New expansion means new Huskybythegeek covers lesgooooo
I love that the music from the dungeon is based on my favorite zone BGM in the expansion. It's beautiful, and so is this cover.
I always say that I wouldn't be surprised by what Soken brings us because he always delivers, but man does that guy knock it out of the park, and then we get an amazing arrangement from Husky and then it's double the treat! Keep up the amazing work!

This has to be my favourite track from dawntrail and I’m so glad you covered it! Stellar work as always /cheer

Except for the part where we just forgot he attempted mass murder via Valigarmanda. But I guess he told his sad backstory so he's a good guy now.
@@Jontman42 Oh, don't get me wrong. We know he did wrong. As Wuk Lamat said, he still needs to be punished. But that's sort of the point of his story: that people can do bad things in the name of what they feel is a good goal.
J'adore cette OST de base, dans mon top 3 de Dawntrail peut-être, et ta cover est incroyable comme d'hab 😍
This theme is so beautiful and sad. What an awesome cover! The full rock and screaming guitar suits it so well
Husky never misses. Love this song immensely and Husky's take on it just makes me love it more. Well done sir!
Probably my fav song for the dungeons. It gives me chills every time
Truly beautiful. this so brought the feels! Husky jamming with his other selves from all of the other Shards! Beyond EPIC!
super emotional track and i love that i get to hear a husky cover of it
it's one of the strong ones of the expac, definitely tugs at the heart when it plays
1:45 is brutal 😭
Hell yeah, this theme rocks. Some great melodies all around
Yes I was waiting also for this one! Excellent job as always!
I like the acoustic! You sound great playing it.
YES!! I am so glad you did this one! I loved this song the moment I heard it start.
Watching the bass parts and going “how the hell am i gonna play this with my current skill level” LMAO
excellent work, Husky! thank you for delivering once again 🙏🏻
What a track this was, and used for what it was in key story beats like so many other tracks have been to great effect
Absolute banger mate, love the acoustic guitar vibes -- but nothing tops your covering of that main rift.
I got the music to drop on my first run in this I was so happy now I can listen to it on loop foreverrrrrrrr
absolutely amazing theme and rendition!
Freaking great cover. I love it!
The vibest vibe of the expansion, translated perfectly. Good job my dood
I mean this as a high compliment - I thought I was listening to a Plini song at certain sections! Love it
Absolutely my favourite, most standout piece this expansion for sure. It is the biggest moment in Dawntrail for me. The story revelations going on with this playing had a real 'transcendence' moment to it, incredible.
love how this is played!
OMG! I can't find words to describe the feeling when I get here! It’s... unbelievable😭
Toujours au top rah la la cette guitare acoustique c'est la cerise sur le gâteau 🤩😍
When Husky goes to Xibalba in the afterlife.
Damn, so fricking amazing as always, man!
I've been aching to hear your take on this since I first heard it. It's my favorite dungeon piece this expansion and you have delivered beautifully on taking such a soft tone and making it a another Husky banger
Dawntrail really has so many delightful bangers, and Husky out here shining them up and making them Bangers (Extreme)! ;3
Amazing as ever love it ❤
Excellent cover, i was waiting for this.
This dungeon is fire (i panicked and did superbolide lmao)
man this song made me so sad in that dungeon. This just makes it a bop with a tinge of sadness
Due to FF16 raising my CBUIII music standards irrationally high, I was getting bored of DT music... until The Skydeep Cenote came along.

I wish youtube had a repeat button so i could listen to this on repeat! Hope to see it on spotify soon!
There is a repeat toggle, in the video settings, additional settings
i Remember seeing the gate after the second boss and see everything change and i was blown away.
God this track really gets me for so many reasons.
Even using the collector's FFXIV guitar. Nice.
Husky is about to be the star of my 2024 Spotify wrap again.
I would love to hear you play Paved in Solitude! Your covers are awesome! ❤
I think this is my favorite track from the MSQ, it oozes emotion
So soothing, I love it
YOU MADMAN YOU ACTUALLY DID IT
Excellent work on one of the tracks that doesn't necessary scream Rock in your face like some of the other tracks do. Has me even more interested in seeing what you do with the Shaaloani day theme!
Pure Melodic Brilliance 💥 💥 💥
sounds really different on guitar - I like it a lot!
this was amazing!!! Also, if we dont get an AAC M2 Cover, imma be so sad lmao
you got your wish lol
Musique chill avant le défi 99 !
Gloire a notre husky national❤
素晴らしいアレンジ
この動画が大好きです!👍
The best music of the expansion in my opinion and a very nice cover of it!
For some reason this feels like an Astral Chain track. Great mood.
The first time I heard this theme, I couldn't help but think that it sounded very similar to David Wise's work (Donkey Kong Country composer), which made me love it even more
Top 3 songs for the xpac, great freaking job!
I'm screaming crying throwing-up !!!!!!!!
Spotify when?~
This is so amazingly done, as always, hats off to your skill husky! It's each time just as impressive as you always are!
The original soundtrack has to be released first
I need this on spotify ASAP 🥹
Listening: Wow this song is so insanely pretty
Playing: AWARE
This sounds like megaman zero mythos music. My sir that is an amazing accomplishment.
Something about this dungeon theme that just hits different, and i cant explain what it is exactly... But it definitely has emotion built into it
I think another version of this song plays when you get to the end of the game before fighting queen sphene in the unlost world. Friking Epic!
WE'RE MAKING IT TO THE CITY OF GOLD WITH THIS ONE 🔥🔥🔥❗❗❗
God this song really does go so hard, and this cover is also banger as shit
Okay, I admit I wanted to grab a pot.
the main part makes me think of coheed and cambria's "we all go up in flames" and that makes my heart happy. But drives my brain wild because its not that song lol So beautiful though
Bakool jaja !
The 95 and 97 dungeons have the best music out of the new dungeons
