I really enjoy your tutorials on lens repair, and cleaning. Your tutorials have helped me clean, and repair several of my lenses thank you. My question is how do you remove stubborn screws?
Hi Kenneth, at 20:06 you mentioned that you might do a video on the aperture system for this lens. I've got one of these with oil on the blades so such a video would be most welcome! Many thanks for an excellent video.
Thanks, and I have just made a new video about "Oil on the aperture blades in Non-Ai Nikkor-Q Auto 1:2.8 f=135mm" and I will upload it as soon as possible. There was no (0) oil on the aperture blades in my lens but I took it apart, just to show how it could be done.
This is such a great tutorial. Very thoroughly explained and easy to understand. I feel a bit scared of disassembling my loved lens like that but when I build up the courage to do it I'll let you know how it went. Thanks for the video!
That's for the informative guide, you helped me get my lens feeling like new. The 135mm Q.C. f/2.8 has some minor differences but is 80% the same. I used white lithium grease instead of specialised lens grease so I'm not sure it will stand the test of time but it was a $100 lens so I didn't want to invest too much in grease I might only use once.
@@mikeno62 thank you so much for your answer. One more question if I may, on the Nikkor35-70mm2.8 Haze video, I am trying to remove the middle elements group (Having already removed the frontal group), but I find it very tight. Is there another way to do it besides using your rubber conic tools? Thank you once again.

Thanks Neil, I am actually working on a video were I will find some solutions or make some tools fix the problems in different ways.

Great vid! ... What did you use to clean the threads?
I use lighter fluid to clean the helicoid threads.
