Always very personal! For wingfoil I use the 90, which is certainly long enough for the extreme chop we have here on the northsea. There is always that one day, nothing seems long enough ;)
Nice review however you are incorrect to say this mast is 22% stiffer in twist (torsional twist) than the aluminium mast. It is 22% stiffer in twist compared to the non high modulus power carbon mast. The aluminium mast is by some accounts less stiff in twist (Wakethief test for example). Adrian Roper has said “it’s about the same”.
Yes you are right! Misread the images in my hurries. Also compared to a aluminium the other day. Indeed there wasn't much difference in twist. However, the response was different. The alu would sort of bounce back on release, the carbon did not.
That’s great to hear. I have just received one and will test myself in a few days. Super excited. I’m particularly encouraged by what you said about how well it performs in choppy conditions.
Hi, great review. why did you go 90 vs 82? trying to decide what to get. thank you!
Thanks! Difficult one yes! Only waveriding 82 would do. Going faster upwind I went for 90. Specially using wide frontwings will mean less breaching.
great review,What is the weight of 90cm?
I can't decide whether to get the 90 or 102? There is lots of chop where I ride. Currently I have the 96 axis vsn 1 carbon mast
