Now I can understand why it is so much harder to pump up HPS 1050 to foil up in light wind compared to BSC 970 although the actually area difference between these two is less than 5%!! One note is that, to me, when wing foiling on relatively flat water, HPS 1050 behaves very similarily to PNG 1010. I was a bit surprised because I thought HPS 1050 would go much faster than PNG 1010. Maybe I was not pushing HPS 1050 hard enough... 🤔
Glad I could help! But do keep in mind that by changing your technique and understabding how the foil worksbypu can get the 1050 going in as light wind, if not lighter than the 970. I havent got much experience with the PNGs but yes I guess they are similar! However I think the 1050 should be able to go quite a bit faster than the PNG when pushed. 🤙

I mean, to use foot pump at the same time efficiently with the wing pump. 😕 Also, many say HPS 1050 should be faster than PNG 1010. I am planning to push them back to back to the limit in Boracay soon if I can actually feel the difference!
@@Tobeon2 there should be quite a speed difference as I mentioned! As for the pumping try smaller faster pumps of you wing and when you have decent speed only then try to make the board take off. It is in many ways the opposite of starting a BSC
Thanks for the video! I bought the 1050 at 65kg and I love It! Even in high winds It is very stable and easy to control. For me a more relaxed ride than the spitfire. Looking for a second HPS for higher winds. Would you recommend the 980 or 930? As the high end of the 1050 is really good and the difference in cm2 projected area between the 1050 and 980 is already 177cm2. Thanks for your reply!
