The perfect definition of a playmaker. One of the greatest gifts I received in my life as a football fan was watching this dude play professional football between 1992 and 1998. Without a doubt, the most underrated athlete ever and one of the most technically gifted footballers of all time. Magician, absolute genius!
Best player on 1v1 literally untouchable.
@@Losbil6972Best? Aaaaaaah…
"The Ballon D'or is worth nothing because Michael Laudrup never won it."
- Pep Guardiola
Nothing but Messi and CR7 pr
He is the most underrated player in the world
One of the best playmakers that has ever been. I remember when he was the coach of Getafe, and a journalist asked the teams captain who their best player was, expecting him to name one of the strikers or wingers, the captain said “Laudrup”. Explaining that in training, he was running in circles around players half his age, like it was the easiest thing in the world, and then make a milimeter precise 50 meters pass. He finished by saying that the only reason why he wasnt still playing, was because he didnt wanted to, because he would be still be a regular starter in 15 of the teams playing in the Premiér devision. I think he was around 41 at that time.
He was iniesta and zidane in one player before iniesta and zidane what a legend ❤️❤️🔥🔥. One of the best midfielders ever
@@ironman28yblackoxhe was better than zidane.
@@patinho5589No, no.. don't go there.
@@kelechiaustin7494 zico was better than zidane also.
It's hard to compare people/players I'd say. Laudrups talent was extreme, but I think Zidane was more of a monster, a presence in body and fight combined
@@ironman28yblackox Beckenbauer said Pele was the best player of the 70s, Maradona the best of the 80s, and Laudrup the best player of the 90s.
Most of Zidane's career was in the 90s, so...I'm going to stick with Beckenbauer's assessment. Especially since Romario said Laudrup was the 4th best player in the history of the game.
Best midfielder to ever play the game.
One of the absolute best who ever walked the planet!
He was the Zidane, before the Zidane era. Absolute top class player.
He was a completely different type of player there's no comparison
@@kcapo89laudrup was better than zidane
@@DA-db9bi hard to say for me as they were so different
@@DA-db9biimo no
I agree. His movement and how he shields the ball. Tall attacking midfielders. Similar trajectories.
greatest passer of all time.. better than Leo Messi and Xavi in passing
One of the best. Zico also in the running for this.
@@patinho5589 definitely, especially short passes
He was great passer yah , but not better than xavi and riquelme and KVD
Probably yes. Messi a better goalscorer though
@@alexanderishere1857 definitely
I see a lot of his playing style in Dennis Bergkamp. Laudrup must have been an inspiration for him.
All kids watching Laudrup back then wanted to be him... All the pro ballers too
yeah I was thinking about this too, Bergkamp must hv been inspired a lot by Laudrup. A lot of their movements are so similar it’s uncanny!
Truly artist on the field and creative player of all time.
His passing culture , dribbles, finding partner and give them tremendous unexpected passes, always was tfor me such a joy to watch!..
He diid so gracious his job! football is a beautiful because of players like Michael Laudrup.

Best passer and midfielder of all time IMO
that's what I thought too

He signed a three year pre contract with Liverpool. Two weeks later, Liverpool came back with a four year contract, and he turned it down because he wanted an exit clause just in case it didn't work out. This is when Liverpool were dominating the 80s and had a deadly duo in Ian Rush and Kenny Dalglish, so imagine they had added Michael Laudrup to that front line.
Really he is master of lacocrotia skills 😮 masterpiece player
La croqueta.
And he invented that.
What a genius ffs
Magic Johnson of football, best passer ever.
One of my favourites those days❤ His brother Brian was also good. Played at Ajax as well.
He just made a show of people.....wish we could watch this in today's football.
Goosebumps
If Messi and Cristiano had Laudrup in their Team. They would say Laudrup is the best.
I rank Laudrup top 10 player all-time, but I do still rank Messi and C7 higher on that top 10. Laudrup was more elegant and fluid though with Cristiano being more physical and Messi in between.
Laudrup is good but a joke compared to Cr7 and especially Messi lol. Kiddo i suggest you go watch some Messi and Ronaldo videos. Laudrup looks like an average player in comparison.
@@nikestrike8213 Laudrup is realistically in top 10 all time. Lower half though, while Messi and Cristiano are upper half, but saying he looks like an average player makes you look like you don't know what you are tallking about. Iniesta, Cruff, and many more rated Laudrup very highly. Guardiola said that while Maradona was the best in the world in the 90ties, Laudrup was the best in the world in the 80ties, and so on. You don't know better than all these legends. I think you want to say that Messi and Ronaldo are better, and I agree with that, but the rest you said doesn't make sense.
What ???' U r a dumb@@nikestrike8213
@@nikestrike8213 It's like comparing Beethoven to Michael Jackson 🤫
The father of the modern Spanish midfielder.
Cruyff being the grandfather 😅
Actually not far from truth!
Fact is he left Barcelona and went to Real Madrid and won them the la liga instantly. Ivan Zamorano who was misfiring and a total flop at Madrid became thr top scorer and won the Pichichi, single handedly and simply because of Laudrup. The man is simply legendary.
I read an article where the commentator said that when Laudrup passes the ball from the depths of his imagination both the midfielders and defenders just get stuck as to who is to respond the midfielders or the defenders. He was just immense.
Great player, and look at the state of those footballfields, with the sandpatches in front of the goal😂….ah this reminds me of my youth.
Enjoy Laudrup 🇩🇰
Muito Ídolo !!!!!
his signature move is so smooth
So beatiful ⚡
Most underatted player even is highest finish in balondor is 4th this show
balondor is useless
Thanks a lot for this video
Magnificent skills
Zidane copied from Laudrup.
Xavi, Iniesta, Raul, Guardiola, Zamarano etc..
"My biggest idol is M. Laudrup"
M. LAUDRUP still today is considered as the best foreign player ever in La Liga.
(Marca)
Won against..
Maradona, Cruyff etc.
When the players didnt knew what to do with the ball in Barca and Real M.. they gave it to Laudrup..
Strikers on Laudrups team would win the La Liga most scoring striker that year. (5 years in a row)
M. LAUDRUP still the only player to have ever won La Liga 5 times in a row.
Too me the most elegant player ever. The best deep passer. Best vision, world class first touch, decent finishing, brilliant dribler, fast, but lacking in defending and heading.
Le model d'andres iniesta
in league with Pele, Maradona, Cruyff, Messi, CR7
🤣🤣🤣 Alright stop it. Laudrup is nothing compared to those players. Go watch videos of the guys you just mentioned hahaha.
@@nikestrike8213 cause u can do better then laudrup?
I was born after his prime, but watching some matches and videos, there's none better at passing or playmaking than him. Maybe Riquelme or Zidane or Iniesta or Xavi or Messi or Socrates or Cruyff or Zico or Maradona...

No, just a different kind of player, stop comparing players!!
You understand nothing about football and that shows. Laudrup is a mere joke compared to Messi and Ronaldo. I suggest you go watch Messi and Ronaldo again. Laudrup is absolutely nothing compared to them. Dont be silly Laudrup aint even in the top 10 of all times.
with zizou, my favorite player
what a baller...
Better then aliens too...
Bro when people put their greatest ever midfielders they never mention him.
If you keep 100 players before him , he still find the gap to assist his team mates
If Laudrop had to play in one of those Real Madrid legends vs Barca Legends, Which side would he play on?
Why on earth would he play for Madrid after playing for fc Barcelona
He wasnt pleased with the situation in Barca because of Cruyff.
And after winning La Liga 4 times in a row (with Barca).. he thought R. Madrid was more "hungry" for the title than Barca was.
First year with R. Madrid he won La Liga (5 times in a row).
Still today the only player to have done so.😊
When you watch his video....pep says is Michael leaving real Madrid..
.he said Michael tought him everything about football.....then started crying..
Nothing else to say really 😒
Players like laudrup cannot perform properly without good intelligent players around him. You have to be on the same wavelength for sure
It definitely helps, but no. He was so panopticon that he would bring players into play who didn't even think he knew where they were, let alone could thread the ball to them. There's clips here where you can see the best attackers in the world wrong footed because all of a sudden they realize that the ball's suddenly dissected a seemingly organized midfield and defence and is at their feet, going at the right speed, in the right direction and they aren't. Such a special player. My number one but if he's outside of anyone's top five they're watching a different game.
His pass into spacemakes run into it efficiently without breaking stride, and if you see the through balls breaks 2 line of defense
He's to quick for the camera
To be OPM of football was boring for him, so he stopped early.
My Mind has not been blown lol
great player, terrible music for this video, not related to the pictures in any way.
he’s actually nuts, not messi level but nuts
Absolutely not a Messi level, because that would be a pretty low level compared to laudrup skills 🤣
@@JohnnyBlesscph hahaha
